Basic Information
| Biography: | I played my first round of disc golf in 2008 when a college friend invited me to Mackenzie Park in Lubbock, TX. I had a blast and immediately wished I had discovered the game a lot earlier in life. I moved to Austin after college and got to know the city by playing all the different courses around town. In 2016 I played in my first PDGA tournament (with embarrassing results) and decided it was time to try focusing on being a better golfer. As a forehand dominant player at the time, that meant developing a consistent backhand and becoming a more confident putter. It's been a lot of fun working on my form and seeing it translate to better scores in both casual and tournament rounds. I moved up to the Open field at the end of 2018 after a successful year in MA1. I topped my long-time target of 980 in July 2019 and got my first Open win a couple months later at my home course. My goals now are to become one of the best throwers in Austin and keep pushing toward 1000+. | ||||||||||||||||
