Rate this Disc

The AGL Discs spruce is a slightly understandable midrange beadless disc. This mid is slightly thinner compared to our other mids, which gives it a super comfortable feel in the hand. This disc is amazingly controllable but when given enough power can flip to flat on a hyzer release. With the flight numbers of 5/4/-1/2, this disc can allow the player to mold all types of shots. Some of the Alpine models may actually have some dome to them, and therefore catch some more glide; but the Woodland models typically come out flatter and more true to the numbers. This is an excellent midrange that truly allows for players to have all the shots necessary with an AGL midrange!

Alpine Details

Alpine is a premium plastic blend from Above Ground Level, engineered for maximum durability and long-term performance. It is typically made with 20 to 40 percent regrind from Innova’s Champion Plastic, resulting in a tough, resilient material that can handle repeated use and harsh conditions. Alpine offers a slicker, more rigid feel compared to other AGL blends, making it a strong choice for players who prioritize longevity.

The Spruce! This guy is SUPER unique. Handfeel is like a flatter, fast, lower parting line height ZONE - meaning it's an excellent forehand disc. flight is VERY straight, with some low speed fade at the end. Powerarms will be able to flip this as a more US feeling mid, but for "average" arms, it's a missle with some trustworthy fade as it slows. A great add to the AGL lineup.

The spruce was the third midrange dropped by AGL and it is very similar to the magnolia just the beadless option. The spruce has a shallower feel than a lot of midranges and a very comfortable hand feel for people that like beadless shallow mids. You can trust the spruce to fly very straight out of the box and if you have a woodland plastic spruce you can get it beat up and turning for you. The spruce does handle power well but if you are a far thrower you definitely will see more turn out of this disc than the flight numbers suggest. I think the spruce fits well in the AGL lineup because it is a bit straighter than the magnolia and is easier for beginners to throw. If you like the flight of a magnolia but not the hand feel, try checking out the spruce because it may be exactly what you are looking for.
