Fission plastic lightens the Rhythm’s core with microbubbles while keeping the dense Gyro rim intact. The Fission Rhythm often flies a touch more understable at lighter weights, making it an easy-to-throw fairway driver for shaping lines and achieving extra distance.

First-time reviewer here, as this mold just compelled me to shower praise and information. Being an intermediate disc golfer with a slower-than-many arm-speed, it's been difficult to locate that sweet spot for a fairway driver which will turn but not flip away out of control... the Rhythm is it for me.

Out of the box, this started as a laser-straight fairway driver for me... with a tiny bit of fade at the end of the flight. Based upon my specific disc (Special Edition, fission plastic, 171g) and my release (RHBH) if thrown flat, this will produce a nice forward push with gentle turn. If the angle is adjusted slightly to anhyzer, then this will give a more pronounced turn, but always keeps that "1" bit of fade at the end. I've been able to carve up tunnel lines, weaving through trees with this marvel.

Despite being broadly categorized as a "flippy disc", this mold feels great to me (flat top, without a dome-y feel), comfortable rim, and I love the grip and texture of Fission plastic. If neither a Leopard nor Leopard3 ever "felt" right to you or you've had trouble simlilarly-numbered discs to fly the way you want, give a Rhythm a try.

*Very similar to the Rhythm in my experience is an Infinite Discs Centurion*

The rhythm is not a distance bomber, but rather a line hitter. I throw this disc constantly when I am in the woods, as it will hold a line very well, but still has some fade at the end. However, it is an angle-dependent disc. Even small adjustments in the angle at which you release the disc will change the way it flies. Because of that, I would not recommend this disc for beginners, due to the high-angle control needed. I would also not recommend this disc for a bomber fairway, as that is not its purpose. Get this disc if you need something to hit gaps, work fairways, and find lines.

For those learning to hyzerflip drivers, or who just want a beautifully controllable fairway driver, the Rhythm is awesome. The 7 speed rim is comfortable in the hand, but the distance potential of this disc rivals 9 or even 10-speed control drivers. Fission plastic also allows this disc to be available in a variety of weight classes - Axiom really nailed it with this one

After seeing a fission rhythm in a pro shop near me recently, I had to grab it. This one is 174g and pretty domey. First throw I was expecting it to fly like a leopard3 or a beat in crave, so I put it up high left expecting it to turn and s down the fairway. It didn't budge at all, and went into the woods left. I said hmm that's strange, so the next throw I put it flat with 100% power and watched it fight forward and right about 300 feet before just barely coming back for the last 25 ft or so. Finally we put it on maybe 10* of hyzer @ 100% power and watched it push about 400 ft on a beautiful s line. It took a while to figure out the stability of this disc, but once I did, I realized how great it is. This is the first disc from MVP/Axiom in the last 5 years or so, that seems to have a proper pop top. More stable than you would think, and in fact flies roughly the same as a max weight fission crave. I would say this goes further than the crave, and seems to be a bit more torque resistant, but the overall flight is basically the same. No need for this and a crave in the bag if you ask me.
