The axiom tempo is a great overstable approach disc, but not for the reasons the zone is a good overstable approach disc. The tempo flies quite a bit further than your average zone does, which puts some people off, but is actually something I like about the disc. I would say it's less overstable than a pyro, relatively, but still plenty of stability to get a flex line.

Money disc! While it is overstable, it's most certainly not exactly a zone type disc. For slower arm speeds, it'll be like a zone, but for higher arm speeds, it's most certainly a straighter flier. This is not a knock on how good this is at all, but everyone should just have realistic expectations. It's also very shallow, but extremely comfortable, but especially so on forehand throws. It goes very straight with a pushing fade, and while it isn't as stable as a zone, it's not a disc that will turn over either. Fills a very nice slot between a zone type disc and the straight flying putter.

I went back and forth between the Zone and the Harp for a while for this disc slot but wanted more glide out of them. Then Axiom made the Tempo. This fills the need perfectly and the Proton Soft plastic has a great feel to it. I'm not the most skilled thrower by any means but, for me, this disc maintians it's expected flight pattern all the time. I don't throw many MVP family discs but this one is staying in my bag.

This may be the disc my bag has been waiting for. I want to like the Zone, but there's just something about that disc that doesn't quite click for me. A Pig is what I currently have in this slot, but I hate how quick the R-Pro beats in. I threw this disc in a field and it really seems like it will take that spot in the bag. Dispite being a faster speed, I feel like it flies like a slower, beefier Envy. It acts like it doesn't want to fly, but it actually gets sneaky distance. Forehand it flies very straight with a reliable fade. It doesn't bite hard, but it never wants to turn over. I'm anxious to try this on the course and see if it actually is as great as its first impression was. For now though, it's in the bag for sure.
