The DGA Hurricane is a fairly stable high speed distance driver with a wide rim and excellent glide. For power throwers, this disc will go further than any disc DGA makes. For beginner and intermediate players, the Hurricane will fly overstable. The Hurricane is a good disc for both forehand and backhand throws.

Ok, one thing to note.  On the Infinite web site its listed as -1,2 turn and fade.  On the disc its listed as a -1,3.  This was not a huge deal but I was a bit disappointed.  I was expecting something that flew a little straighter.  I was looking to replace my shryke with something that had a similar "S" curve but that wasn't made by Innova.  I love DGA plastic and the few discs I have by this company are great.  Unfortunately, this flies a little more like a destroyer.  It still works as I love these for forehand drives but that particular slot in my bag is taken up by a force that I really love.  All in all, as long as you know what you are getting into, its a solid disc.

I love this disc.  When I throw it in the wind it holds it's shape without fluttering up and down.  When I throw this as hard as I can LHBH (about 350 - 380 ft) it'll turn up to flat and turn ever so slightly right, and then finish with a soft fade left.  If I had the aim for it I could use it for tunnel shots.

When I throw it a bit softer it gives a nice hard fade, but not quite as much as a discraft force, which I find is something I want quite often.

Excellent Driver, very similar to a Destroyer but with more consistency in the molds in my opinion. I always have one in my bag for long open drives with predicable fade

I have had this disc in both the Proline and SP metalflake plastic. This is a very solid disc anyone with higher power looking for distance can throw. I think they would like it as well. It showed a little more turn in the Proline and the SP flake was beefier which is good for headwinds. Really could be interchangeable with someone who throws Destroyers, it's very similar.

this disc loves power. I switched over to all discraft and DGA two years ago and fell in love with hurricanes after i bought one from a used bin. I have two pro line hurricanes one 172 and another that is 171 but a good bit more stable. The hurricane was the answer to the spot left in my bag when i stopped throwing destroyers. I trust my hurricane more than any other driver due to the control i get from it and i rely on it the most of all my discs when my game is down. my 172 can turn over and glide a ton where my 171 i use for the same shot in headwinds or if i need more fade. I can throw a bit over 400 feet backhand and the hurricane is great for my arm speed. Newer players may struggle to get the turn they want out of the disc unless it is well broken in. I strongly reccomend this disc as a go to driver for max distancee off the tee box

Adding on to my previous review, I have gone all in with Hurricanes for my distance shots. I throw a Proline for my understable/tailwind distance, a Flex SP for headwinds, and a regular SP for right in the middle. These are in my opinion one of the most underrated discs out there, and should definitely be considered when looking for consistent distance drivers.

i found a first run of this disc at one of the local courses (with no name or number on it) and BOY am i glad i did!!! I've been told its like a force but not as overstable. i was shocked at how far this disc went the first time i threw it.
