The FD2 is out of production, and based on the flight of the FD1, which now fills that Teebird spot, a new run of FD2 will most likely be a different disc entirely.

The FD2 is a stable-flying fairway driver with TeeBird like flight ratings. Discmania gives their second fairway driver this description: “The FD2 is a reliable speed 7 workhorse fairway driver for all skill levels. It’s not too glidey to avoid you from sailing off-target and it has a low-speed fade you can depend on. Packed with a nice amount of high speed stability, this disc gives you nice straight lines when thrown flat and hard. The more power you put behind this disc, the straighter lines you will see it perform. When thrown more gently, the fade will kick in earlier in flight, making cutting corners easier.”

This is my most consistent disc. I lost one to a hole in an iced over creek and had to immediately seek out a replacement because it's that crucial to my game. Backhand It flies pretty much exactly like the chart for me, 300+ ft dead straight with a nice predictable fade. If thrown low enough its a straight line with no fade.  Good on a light flex line and great for FH as well as BH. It's a very flat disc, so if you like flat you'll love this but if you don't, you'll probably not like it very much.

This disc is my go to fairway it  is a perfect compliment to my Teebird finishing just left of that and being more predictable in the wind and on FH.

so if your looking for something that will fly straight with a little fade this is the disc for you. The ones I have and have seen are flat not board flat though. When throwing this disc on a any it will fade out at the end. On a flat throw it will fly straight with no turn before fading out. I use this disc for shots 300 to 350 feet. I mainly use this disc on forehands its really comfortable in the hand with it being flat. It can handle some power on a flick and it won't turn over on you. This disc is by far one of my favorite discs for forehands because of how straight it will fly

For those looking for a disc similar to an FD but with more fade, this may be what you are looking for. The rim is very similar, which makes it very easy to throw, but it has more fade. It is also very consistent in its flight ratings. I have this at max weight in cline plastic, and this disc has been money for me. I have confidence to throw this at any gap at any angle. Also, this disc now hyzer flips for me to flat so it almost beats in to a fd like flight with a tad less turn. At a hyzer angle, this disc shows its versatility based on how much power you give it. If you rip one, it may flip up and ride for a long time and finish pretty stable, with less power, it finishes more overstable. This disc also fights out of flex and anhyzer angles, but not before biting off a good bit of distance. This will always be one of the first discs I hand to beginners. Highly recommend.

My first fairway driver was a second run FD. I didn't know it at the time, but it was totally different from your typical FD. Once I figured it out, I picked up the original FD2 and it just wasn't the same. Now that Discmania has released the Royal Rage and new stock run of FD2s, I finally have a replacement for that first FD!

I bag a 167g Royal Rage for forehands since it is a little flatter. The stock run feels better for backhands so I bag that too. These are my most reliable drivers by far. The plastic is great on both runs and they look awesome too. I highly recommend for a workhorse fairway. Beginners will find these are too overstable, so I would say you should be able to turn over an FD before trying this disc.

Flat top and comfortable rim. Flies great BH and can take some FH torque as well. I'd recommend as your stable fairway driver that has great accuracy.

The reretooled color glow FD2 is the best disc of 2019. Discmania tried to remake a second run FD and I believe they have achieved this. This disc is glidey, it feels great, and it is torque resistant. Very good, very versatile disc. Don't get anything but the signature color glows though, anything else is a totally different disc.

fell in love with this disc from the first throw. flies very similar to a teebird with maybe a touch more glide. reliable in headwind or tailwind. flies straight for 85 percent of flight then fades gently. holds a hyzer. can handle flex shots without turning over

I like this disc for straight shots with significant fade, although if thrown on a hard anhyzer, mine will hold for a LONG time (I bought it used so it is well seasoned). For a beginner or low arm speed this would be a good first beefy driver as the low speed makes it easier to throw properly.

This disc has some beef for the numbers its given. I would say this flies like a Banshee with a bit more glide. That is great because you can really put some power on it and still trust it to come back and not flip. I would be interested to try this disc in S-line plastic to see if its not quite as overstable.

Great disc for anyone starting to get some snap. This disc goes both ways, holding the a straight line out to 250 with a strong fade finish. Thrown with a bit of anny this thing can cover a lot of ground.

This is the only discmania disc that I bag and i love it. I have a seasoned c-line and a newer glow. This is my go to forehand disc. It has a great rim feel and is comfortable in my hand. It has just the right amount of stability that I know i can put some power behind it on a little flex line and it will fight back. I would say it is a slightly more overstable teebird. I also go to this disc of any of my over hand shots. Great disc and I would highly recommend it to others!

The feel of this disc in hand is the best out of any disc I've thrown (I've thrown ALOT of them)  I have always wanted to like the teebird, but it just never grew on me.   This disc to me is a fantastic alternative to a teebird.  Feels better in the hand and is more predictable with forehand shots.  Absolutely get this disc if you need a reliable fairway driver that can fight a good amount of wind to boot.

Great disc with plenty of straight down the fairway distance with a firm fade. This disc also in the c line plastic will have a good skip when thrown flat before it settles on the ground. Thrown anhyzer the disc will accept it for the first part of the flight before fighting out of the anhyzer to a strong fade. Thrown hyzer it will hold the line for about half of the flight before a strong fade takes over.

The FD2 is a must have for everyone's bag. I purchased this disc for windy days, and found that the FD2 is a perfect compliment for the FD. Its not a speed disc, not flashy or super sexy, but the accuracy and stability are consistant. It has plenty of rim to get a good grip on, and it not too deep. Also my favorite FD2 is 3 years old and the C-Line plastic has held up great, slight scuffs and dings but has held up great. The FD2 is my primary forehand disc, everything from 200-300ft on a forehand approach, this disc is the go to. It does not turnover no matter how much power I put behind it, and is very smooth/accurate on holding the line. On bankhand shots it holds up great in the wind, holds its line flat and then will get left in a hurry. The FD2 does not have a ton of glide and is not going to be your long distance fairway driver. It is not meant to be. A definite must have.

This is one of my favorite discs. It's super reliable and very versatile. This disc is great for backhand hyzers and forehands alike. It holds whatever line I put it on. If I release it flat it will go straight and finish left with a predictable fade. If I throw it hard and with a little anhyzer it will go straight and then fade right. I've also had great luck throwing thumbers with this disc. I probably throw this disc more than anyother disc in my bag.

The C-Line FD2 quickly became one of my favorite discs. I love Teebirds, and I was always looking for the most overstable Teebirds I could find. Now I just have FD2's because they are much easier to find, and fly like I have always wanted an overstable teebird to fly. It can handle a headwind, but isn't quite as overstable as a Firebird. I personally do not like it for forehands, but those with a softer or smoother forehand may find it to be a great utility disc for fairway shots.

Brilliant disc. It flies very much as advertized. This disc has a feel much like Latitude 64's Trident, just not as blunt on the edge, which is to say that this disc is super comfortable. This disc is perfect for forehand throwers being that is it stable and will probably be enjoyed by anyone looking to crank a disc down a tunnel shot and not have to worry about glide tracking it off course. Rip it hard and you will not get much of any turn but will see this disc straighten out and go into a slow gradual fade.
