The Rockstar is a beginner-friendly fairway driver from Active Line. Designed with the player in mind, this disc allows easy access to begin opening up your game to untapped distance and control. Golfers with more experience and power will find this disc to be moderately understable and will display more high-speed turn from the flight. Beginner to intermediate level players are going to enjoy the smooth nature of it’s flight patterns, superb gliding ability, and adaptability to both forehand and backhand throws. The Rockstar features a thin rounded nose with gentle wing on the underside of the disc, making for an extremely comfortable fit in your hand.

I love the rockstar, I have a couple of them, and while I don't think it's quite -2/1, I do get a small turn and fade, probably closer to -1/1.5 for the turn/fade for me. It works great on a flat release to help me navigate some trees on a heavily wooded fairway. I don't throw it as much as I used to, but I can trust it when I do. I like the lip width and depth.

This is an okay disc. As some others have said it doesn't fly true to the numbers srtaight out of the box, it's way more overstable than you'd expect. Definitely can get it to a flight more similar to the numbers with some seasoning, but being an "affordable" premium plastic I personally don't think Active Premium is the best plastic for that. Mine was also very domey and somewhat awkward to hold. A fine disc especially on a budget, but whether yours is overstable or not it's outclassed by many discs in the same category.

Overstable! I have thrown this for a couple of months now and its still more overstable than my teebird and explorer, which both are pretty new also. I thought that some mountain and tree kicks would make it flippy but not yet... Othervise I like the disc but as it is overstable it flies much shorter than my other speed 8 discs. I also have some Essences and they are way more flippy than this fat beast.

Flies true. A lot of fun especially with a good hyzer throw. Has a decent amount of fade at the end too.

Got 2 of these bad bois via mystery boxes and I was pleasantly surprised. I expected the Rockstar to flip a little, potentially act like a valkyrie. Both of mine are 173 and fly the same, which is beautifully stable. When thrown hard they will flip slightly and glide out with a pushing late fade. Think way more comfortable teebird3. I personally can not forehand a tb3 because of the concavity of the rim shape, but the rockstar is very nice. Hope they keep making them in max weight premium plastic.

Got one of these in the Black Friday mystery box from Discmania. Gave it a few chunks along side my Champ plastic Sidewinder. Expect them to fly similar, but it was a touch more stable and got a bit more distance on the windy day I was throwing them them. I also bag a MVP cosmic Volt, the Rockstar flies more like the Volt than the Sidewinder. More of a dead straight flyer with stable finish, both forehand and backhand. FH I could put a slight hyzer on it & put a bit of power behind it it would go straight for about 300-350' before it hyzered out. It won't be making the bag though because its does all the things my Volt does, but still deserves 5 stars because its an excellent flying disc. Just don't expect much turn from it unless put some anhyzer on it.

First off my three star rating is not because this is a bad disc, but because the flight numbers do not relate to how the disc actually flies. I picked this disc up to try it out as a fairway driver with some turn, unfortunately mine had barley any. On top of that it is very overstable and extremely domey. I would say it does not make my bag since it flies more like my Prodigy F1.

I like throwing the other Active Premium discs from Discmania, but this one I don't care for. It doesn't feel great, way too much dome. The flight numbers don't seem to match the way the disc flies, it was not under stable when I threw it. I would recommend the Essence instead based on the stated flight numbers.

Very Domey disc. You can get some turn on it in the initial part of the throw, but it is overstable enough to fight out of the turn much faster than all my other -2 turn fairway drivers. The plastic has a good grip to it, and the disc is soft enough that when it lands it does not skip much. This disc can get more distance than most of my fairway drivers. I can throw it farther than my tee bird, leopard3, relay, and servo. Once you get past the flight numbers not being as accurate as you would like, you will learn to appreciate the distance and control you can get with this disc.

I throw about 350'-400' max rip distance drivers & 300'-330' with fairways. At max weight, this disc is pretty over stable out of the box. I do think this runs more overstable than advertised.

I'd pin this as a champion teebird or teebird3 (which I cannot throw flat unless I rip it so hard), not a faster Leopard (which I can get a nice, easy turn on).

Overall, I think it could be a great disc once it's more beat in, but you aren't getting -2 turn brand new. With my current arm speed, I'd use this into a headwind with confidence or over some OB and trust that it'd come back.

3/5 because it doesn't turn right and fades hard. Get this in a lighter weight to be closer to -2 turn.

I love the direction Discmania is going with all of their partnerships, and the Active line is so far my favorite. Been following just shortly before they announced their new lines.

Now on to the Rockstar. This disc is super domey and an awkward feel in the hand but I still enjoy it. At the moment it doesn’t fly to the flight numbers maybe when it gets beat in but right now I would give it a 8/5/-1/2 or even 8/5/0/1.5(I have moderate arm speed). In flight to me it’s similar to an MVP Volt or faster Instinct. This disc probably won’t make the bag because of the Essence I carry but may see it being swapped out on more windy days. Not a bad disc just overlaps some other discs in my bag. Otherwise has a rad stamp and definitely worth giving it a shot for someone who is looking for an Overstable 8spd that should season into and under stable disc.

The Discmania Rockstar is an ultra domey fairway driver. This disc is really similar to the  Yikun Fu. I love the bright look and feel of the Active Line premium plastic made by Yikun.

The Rockstar is a decent disc, and can serve the purpose for many players, but it is not a disc that I will bag.

For my arm speed the printed flight ratings of the Rockstar are way off. This disc is way more overstable than the flight ratings would lead you to believe. For me this is an overstable dumpy disc that doesn't go more than about 300 feet for me.

Personally, I just prefer flatter discs. I feel more control with them and so the big dome of the Rockstar just isn't for me.
