My Flight Ratings: 4/5/-1/1 Very Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: 225 Straight Score: Ultra Straight

The Joy is a is a wonderfully neutral feeling and flying disc. The rim is simple and comfortable. Low profile, no bead, slightly curved shoulder, slightly more angular but still very ergonomic feeling rim. It flies with a good balance of  torque resistance and glide. In calm winds with a standstill flat throw it will ride the line it's put on. Put it on slight hyzer it will flip up and glide straight as an arrow, steeper hyzer and it will hold the hyzer line or maybe flip up flat for a moment before beginning a gentle fade. Its not really a disc I would use for annys and forehands, so I didn't mess with that too much. I wouldnt recommend it too much for headwind shots unless youre hoping for a turning throw that wont come back or a cut roller. This disc seems best on controlled straight upshots and short straight drives. Both of those types of shots really show off its nice mix of glide and stability.

If you enjoy the way that the Sol feels, you will like the feel of the Joy. If you do not have very big hands, this smaller sized disc will feel great to you. It has a clean release on either a backhand or a forehand. At lower speeds it is very controllable approach disc that will hold a straight line for quite a long time. At full power, it is similar to Discraft's new Malita midrange as far as flight path, so if you want something that is not as flippy as the Buzzz SS, give the Joy a try. It is a lot of fun to throw and will have utility for players of all skill levels.
