Very good disc that when thrown flat wiill got straight for a while and then fall a little to the right. Can easily be turned over for shots that need a turnover in the woods.

My favorite hyzerflip or turnover midrange. Has had a spot in my bag for years and will stay for the foreseeable future.

I'm under the assumption you need a overstable, neutral and understable disc in every disc category. Before I had a FH I needed a turnover midrange disc. I have that with the meteor. Mine is 177 grams and very opaque. When I release it flat with 75% power, it turns over, if I go a little harder, it doesn't fade back at all. Now I can hyzer FH a OS disc to get the same shot selection but I keep the Meteor in my bag for when I want a longer turnover flight with my BH. Would recommend for a understable disc to practice turnovers with minimal angle throw changes.

I like the disc a lot you can throw it 70-80% flat and it will turn over, start it on some hyzer it will stay flat throw it full power it will become a roller

This is understable utility disc. It will ALWAYS flip up (to at least flat) and glide. I use this disc for wood courses only. If there is the slightest breeze, this disc flips and dives straight to the ground.

Throwing this RHBH it will flip and turn to the right and hold the line you throw it on. Please release it on a hyzer or else you can get a cut roll. This could be used as a mid-range roller (never have done it though).

The ESP plastic feels great and this disc is a lot of fun to throw. Favorite shots is a high turnover, nose up and flat and what it turn to the right and glide out.

I love the Meteor as an under-stable midrange for tunnel shots or turnover shots. I recommend the ESP plastic for its durability and grip. Beginner friendly and fun to throw!

The ESP Meteor is a wonderful Midrange that flies forever no matter what angle it's thrown on. It has plenty of turn and glide for turnover shots or hyzer flips for max distance. I constantly see this thing rivaling a lot of my fairways in terms of distance going easily 320'-340' which is farther than the rest of the midranges in my bag by about 50'. I'd chalk most of that up to the fact this disc doesn't want to come out of the air it just hangs up and glides forever. It doesn't turn quite as much as I would expect so I'd knock it down to -2 which is still more than enough for a disc to finish right on those long turnover lines.

I would think that this disc is great for beginners given that it's understable and seemingly effortless distance but it could be a little bit deceiving as it'll fly much different once one gains some arm speed.

The Meteor is an oldie but a goodie. I really like the glide that this disc has and the distance potential it has. The Meteor is a really beginner-friendly disc but can be mastered by the highest skilled players. It holds a great hyzer-flip line and is also excellent for turnover shots. This disc is a workhorse understable midrange and could even be your next go-to disc.

Probably my favorite Discraft disc. I own it in Z and ESP. The Z line is SUPER straight and will hold basically any line for the length of the flight with just a touch of left finish (RHBH). The ESP is more true to the flight numbers but is still mostly straight. Will turnover to the right if you really rip on it. Love my Meteors, couldn't play as well without them.

Very good understable disc.  As a beginner, you'll love throwing this disc straight.  Once your arm speed picks up, this turns to a great understable disc that you can get a good turn in and finish right for RHBH throwers.  I use this disc for my shots around 200-250ft or if I need the disc to go slightly to the right.  Feels good in the hand as well.  My advice would be to get one on the heavier side so it can handle the power and not completely turn over.

The Meteor is very versatile. I have an ESP at max weight and can get this all the way out to 320-340 on a good rip. When thrown softer for an upshot, or when thrown harder on a hyzerflip, it carries straight with very little turn or fade. If thrown flat with power, it will turn and glide out without fading back. In the hand, the rim is very rounded like a putter but it is a larger diameter disc. It only handles forehand torque if thrown on a steep hyzer, flipping up and turning without any fade. It does have a dome as well, making it a not great forehand disc. It doesn't need that though, because the glide on these things make it so I can push them out 20 feet past my buzzes and they always come out smooth. Awesome backhand midrange.

This disc holds the record for my longest putt (~125ft ).

It is probably the fastest putter/midrange I have ever used/seen. If you need to anny your upshot for do a slow flex put through trees this disc needs to be in your bag. In fact I don't see why this disc would not have a place in every players back.

I am not sure if I have said this but the ESP plastic is my favorite. The gripiness of this disc is perfect.

Awesome understable midrange disc. Thrown flat, the meteor will anny and always lands soft. With hyzer, it flips up and sails straight. It's not going to be a primary mid, but the Meteor has a place in every bag.

The Meteor is in my opinion one of the more underrated mid ranges out there. It is beginner-friendly. I love the Meteor most in ESP but have bagged a Z Glo as well. The Meteor in either of those plastics is a great jump for a beginner to a more premium plastic mid range. It is understable and was the first disc I learned to really shape lines  and hyzer flip with. In the woods its simply amazing.

I have a swirly ESP version (177 grams), and agree with others here that the disc has a power threshold that needs to be met in order to see a good flight out of the disc.  I'm not very familiar with Discraft discs, and have not spent a lot of time throwing the Meteor yet.  When I've put a good throw on it with sufficient power, the line is a steady, lazy flight with some controlled turn, then it just sits down.

It has taken some time to get used to the feel in hand.  There is no bead, and the ESP is slick.  So I find myself moving it in my hands a lot before I throw, trying to find a confident grip.  I plan to spend more time with it, to learn it's flight and wear it in to a consistent and solid understable midrange.

I got my meteor a year and a half ago in a middle upper weight, and I'm here to say that in the ESP plastic it is still barely understable. I'm not sure if I got a mismold, but this thing does not turnover at a -3. I have loved this disc for straight shots and shots that ever so slightly veer to the right (RHBH) the majority of the flight.

The ESP plastic feels great and might be my favorite for mid range shots. It is grippy enough, but slides out of th hand smooth and rarely if ever causes grip lock.

I rate this disc with a 5 for 2 reasons. One, it has a special place in my heart because I got my longest Ace with it and then when I went back to the course was fairly close again. Two, it is very consistent and it seems as the only reason I mess up sometimes is cause I mess up. I find myself thinking that it is understable and I've owned it for a while and hit trees so it should start turning more, yet it maintains its consistency.

I found this disc years ago and it has never left my bag, I use this disc any time that I need a straight to slight anhyzer turning shot. This disc, if you start it on a hyzer angle, will always flip up and glide straight with a very gentle finish. If I want it to go right, I don't have to force it over, but I have to either throw it with more power, or release it flat because this disc will naturally turn over and then sit down quite flat on this line. This disc will be one that you just can't get away from when you get yours!

This disc is very versatile. When new it will hold some solid lines. The only real tricky part of this disc is that it likes to be thrown with at full rip, much like a buzzz. Only problem is that the difference between 92% rip and 95% rip has the disc getting squirrely. Meaning the disc either stays straighter or activates it's turn super hard.

Once the disc beats in then it is easier to get to get it to flip thus taking less power, but more touch.

Although I don't use this disc a lot due to my control driver getting my close enough to the pin. But, from what I have used from this disc I would recommend this disc for anyone that is level in between beginner and intermediate level.

The Meteor is an excellent understable midrange that is perfect for beginners and disc golfers with slower arm speeds. It boasts incredible glide and turn with minimal speed and fade for amazing, long-range control shots whether for short drives or long upshots. I believe the flight numbers were fairly accurate though I would give Glide a 6.0 and Fade a 0.5 (instead of a 5.0 and 1.0 respectively). It's a very straight disc for beginners and because of that extra glide, the disc can glide for a lot longer than one might expect. Overall, I really love my ESP Meteor, it is very glidey and is absolutely perfect for beginners and long, control shots. This disc BOMBS!

I throw bot a Meteor, and an Innova Stingray. Although their flight ratings are the same, I'd say the Meteor is a touch more stable of a disc. With a nice smooth toss this disc will hold a very straight line, or with a little more power it will finish nicely to the right. Great turnover disc with lots of glide.

My Meteor gets thrown every time I go out to play. I'd highly recommend it for beginners, since it has a slightly understable tendency, which can help when you're just learning to get a flat release. I use it for my midrange anhyzer shots almost exclusively. When I don't need a lot of distance, but I want to bend my flight path around an obstacle, this disc gets the job done, and it has a nice, long glide after it settles on its path.  All in all, Discraft makes some very steady, predictable midrange discs, and the Meteor has a permanent place in my bag, next to my Buzz.

Learning to throw putters and slow midrangers like the ESP Meteor revolutionized my game.  I just love being able to throw this disc on a hyzer line, knowing that its fade will be straightened out throughout the entire flight for a predictable landing.  If you're more comfortable throwing RHBH hyzer shots for accuracy, this is a great disc.  It always seems to find its way.  It can also be flipped on a hard throw to S curve around something, but its reliable fade will bring it back left eventually instead of turning and burning.

Too turny for you?  Grab the Comet, very similar.  The Meteor flies a lot more Comet-like before it wears in.  Too fadey for you?  Grab the Stratus.

Currently I'm throwing a new ESP Meteor, and I can't believe I have gotten by without it. When thrown flat, the disc holds a moderately hard right turn (RHBH) with little fade at the end... this is great for me since I'm a terrible forehand thrower. You can also get the disc to flip up with a little hyzer, but I find you have to release it JUST RIGHT, otherwise it will hyzer off or turn on you. Normally I don't have a hard time hyzer flipping discs and getting a nice long straight glide out of them, but this one is a bit of an exception... hard to flip it up straight.
