Best disc for beginners! A great starter disc, but it can get flippy with added power. Similar to Innova's Sidewinder, this disc benefits players with slower arm speeds and can also benefit moderate arm speeds by helping to improve form. If this disc doesn't fly straight for you when you stand and throw (no run-up, reach back, etc), there's likely some form issues you're having. Throw the Xpress until you get it flying solid, then move on to a faster disc.

This is a very understable disc from Discraft. Would work well for some beginners or rec players who are looking to step up into a fairway/distance driver for more distance, say you are throwing 250 feet plus. Personally I liked the disc I had but prefer some other more readily available molds from Innova like a Sidewinder or Roadrunner which are similar.

Quality disc. Nice flight. Just not a favorite of mine.

Roller. I know, every disc rolls, but this is more predictable in terms of how reliably it flips to edge and how much it wants to flip to the right than many other good rollers. I think there is no better disc to *learn* rollers with.

The plastic is kind of horrible. Hard and wonky. But I think that gives it a cross-disc structural integrity that others don't have, even when broken in. I mean , not compared to premium plastics, but if you don't have a very broken in disc in those plastics at this speed, this will help you learn roller angles better than a lot of others. It also has a particular balance and bluntness to the edge that will keep it standing up pretty long.

So, yeah, maybe if your rollers go all over the place, one of thisight be a good training tool.

The Xpress is a disc I never really clicked with. I think it would be a great disc if I was just getting started in the game, but now it was really a roller disc for me. It didn't hold up very well to other molds I like to throw shots this disc would take. It was just a bit too touchy for me.

This disc is perfect for hyzer flips and keeping a healthy anhyzer line. I've beaten up my Xpress so it tends to not fade at the end anymore.

Got this in my first ever sampler pack when I started playing disc golf.  It was great to start learning how to throw but I very quickly could throw this hard enough that it would turn over immediately and dive into an unintentional roller.  Great to start with but I think most people are going to pretty quickly want to get something a little more stable as they improve.

I have a beat up one of these that I first learned how to play with. I got my only ace with this disc, but it was on a hole that I now throw a putter at :) Good disc for beginners and would be good for ladies and kids in the lighter weights.

    A Relic, but Useful

The Xpress is a pretty old disc in Discraft's line-up, but is actually more popular than most people realize. In Elite X, it is very understable and great for rollers, as well as the perfect first driver for those who aren't quite begginer's but don't have a lot of power yet. In Z plastic, the Xpress has more allaround stability and has more of a neutral flight. It feels a little weird in the hand; rims were just wonky when the Xpress first came out, but if you are looking for a nicely understable fairway driver, the Xpress fits the bill as well as anything.

Good disc for beginners, casual players, and those incapable of decent arm speed. Lost my elite X one in a pond earlier this year, fine since I assign them to water hazard duty. Got another in a mystery box in Z plastic, and it will either be water hazard duty or donate to a new player.

This disc is without doubt understable. The Pro D plastic one I used would turn more than any other disc I've ever thrown, yet not turn over and crash into the ground. The Express I threw was a used disc that was slightly beat up, which may have had something to do with just how understable it was. I'm sure this is a great disc for beginners, but not one that I'll be keeping in my bag.
