The Blackout is a control diver that sheds the heavy weight of oppressive governmental regimes in favor of the survivalist instincts of an apocalyptic future. It is also a straight-to-understable disc golf driver that can be manipulated onto any flight path to accurately place shots along the fairway. It is a favorite for controlled, hyzer-flip drives through narrow fairways that are lined by trees, or narrow streets that are lined by abandoned buildings on dystopian disc golf courses. Whether a seasoned disc golfer or a beginner, the Blackout will become a favorite in your bugout disc bag.

This disc is really really good. Very controllable as long as you throw it at its proper speed. It has a very pleasing, floaty flight. It is not particullary fast but just glides along. It will not run away from you but will turn a little with a pretty straight finish. Very little skip.I describe this disc as calm. Throw it flat and let it work. When you absolutely have to land in the fairway, this is your disc. Forehand needs some touch to throw at the proper speed. It Hyzer flips well. If thrown anhyzer it will hold it for the whole flight. For me good to about 300 ft.

It feels really good in the hand, kind of the "goldy locks" zone, not too shallow and not too deep. Mild dome. The Toxic Waste plastic is great, mildly soft and flexible and good grip. I have a couple of these and have not detected any kind of odor reported by other reviews. Love the punisher esq stamp, one of my favorites. For me its a keeper, I dont believe it will be replaced in my bag any time soon. If you want a controllable fairway that does what it is supposed to, no more and no less, this is it.

Really really enjoying this disk.  It's become my go to for any drive between ~200' and 300' and especially anheizer lines.

The Toxic Waste plastic has a nice feel to it - flexible, but not so much as to feel inconsistent driving, and with a nice grip to it.

The disk flies true to it's numbers - though perhaps with a bit more glide.  Released on a hyzer, it will make a nice gentle S shaped flight path, or released flat will pull well right before fading back to land flat.  A really powerful thrower probably wouldn't get along with this disk, but I'm enjoying using this disk on drives where I want to focus more on accuracy than outright power.

This would be the perfect driver for someone just starting out - just make sure to find one that's not totally camoflage colored or you won't have it for long.

I bought this disc mainly because I don't have many fairway/control drivers. This disc has such a reliable flight  It flies so straight no matter how hard you throw it. I am a beginner and I use this disc in so many situations now. I throw it mostly backhand but I get a consistent forehand result also. It's not a high risk purchase because it isn't very expensive and it has been durable so far. The toxic waste plastic is flexible and feels nice in the hand. I would recommend this for beginners, it is very easy to throw.

I am a 77 year-old control thrower who drives for a good landing  zone to approach and make par, usually. The Blackout is great for that. I threw 1 over today driving with the Blackout. Just ordered another one. Plus, it was lights out, lol, on long putts. This disc is a winner.

I have this in the Toxic Waste plastic at 170 grams. For reference, I am a young guy who can throw 450' max power with a distance driver. I throw at an elevation of 5,600 to 6,300 feet depending on which course I am playing at.

This is a perfect beginner disc. If thrown flat and hard, it has a good amount of turn without trying to flip into a roller. You can absolutely crush this disc on a controlled line and get a gorgeous S curve out of the flight. I throw it hard or anhyzer and it will turn and ride that line while very subtly fighting to get flat. People who love hyzer flips will love this disc as it will flip to flat and ride the perfectly straight line until it loses speed and then it will delicately hyzer to a soft landing.

The plastic looks so cool. It does smell a little chemically at first, but what do you expect when the end of the world is upon us!(A little Doomsday joke, anyway...) The plastic feels very grippy and the smell naturally leaves after a round or two.

This is not nearly as flippy as my Diamond, but more understable than my Pekapeka(both in the equivalent of champion Plastic.

Disclaimer: I'm a 50-year old noodle-armer playing for only 6 months with a max driving distance of 285-300.

Got this in Toxic Waste and I feel the grip is more a 6 as compared to the scale normally seen on Infinite Discs.... the plastic feels great, by the way. I'd also add that (from me) this disc has more glide than the numbers state and is easy to throw straight. I'd highly recommend this disc for all levels.

This has to be one of the best beginner disc available, even with underdeveloped arm speed players will be able to execute hyzer flips or long panning S shots. As well as the excellent flight of this disc it comes in absolutely amazing plastic, very gummy with excellent grip and just generally a great hand feel.

The Blackout is a straight flying disc with excellent glide for my mediocre backhand. First disc that I've noticed to have a distinct smell; not like Toxic Waste, but industrial chemicals maybe, somewhat amusing, and in line with Doomsday's dark humor. Sharp color pattern and stamp.

Absolutely love this disc and own four. A flippy fairway with a lot of glide and very dependable. Tied with the Dystopia for my favorite Doomsday Discs mold right now.
