I got this as part of the Doomsday Prepper pack and I think it's my favorite of the four discs. The product description says the non-putters in the set are in Survival plastic, but this is clearly something else. The plastic feels good and looks great. I believe it's the Isolation plastic. Whatever the name, it's like a deep blue metal flake Champion grade. The flight is just what one might hope for -- a straight, even flight and landing, good distance, and handling the wind well from either direction. I field-tested it along with my favorite stable midranges for comparison, and in the end there was really no clear winner, meaning that the Despair, though being the disc I've had less time to work with, hangs in with the best of my existing selection (including the likes of the MD1, Mako3, and others).

I had thought to maybe bequeath this Prepper pack to someone else since I have discs in my bag already that do what these discs do, but I've been so pleased with this Despair disc, I may have to keep it and bag it regardless of what I choose to do with the rest of the set.
