The Felon is a very overstable fairway driver in the DD line. This is what Dynamic Discs has to say about the Felon.

"Dynamic Discs is bringing the disc that so many of you have been asking and hoping for. The Felon is here. In the same vein as our game changing Escape, the Felon is a fairway driver that feels great in your hand and comes out easy. Crafted in response to the unforgiving Kansas winds, the Felon is the wind-fighting fairway driver that your bag is calling for. It will continue to sail, without turning over, despite that headwind. When the wind is down, it has an incredibly predictable hyzer finish. When you are facing a low ceiling shot where you need good glide and a strong finish the Felon is your answer."

My Handeye Supply dye stamp is Super sick. The plastic is nice stiff and grippy. A little more overstable than my Lucid Felon actually which is surprising. So I use it more for my flex line in the woods shots. Backhand and Forehand it always fights out of the anhyzer back into a strong reliable fade out. Excellent disc.

The Felon that I bag is a Captain America Shield Dye Max. It has a super flat top and can handle some serious torque. I primarily throw it as a right handed flick. I use it to drive with on holes that require a good flick up to 350 feet. I can send it out nice flat and low and it will hold that line before dumping back into its fade. I will occasionally throw a thumber with it. I would place it in the same category as an Innova Firebird as others have commented.

I rated this as not newbie friendly. However, a novice player wanting to get a taste for overstable discs would be wise to start here. Overstable discs are a must for me as the afternoon usually brings some strong winds from time to time in Arkansas. When I am facing a thrashing headwind or a hole that needs a good flick... I reach for the Felon.

I've yet to throw a firebird but this is my go to overstable fairway driver, especially for forehand.  250 to 300ft out with a good hyzer line any somewhat experienced forehand player should be able to park baskets.  This disc fights wind well, anny flexes, and will hyzer skip with the best.  It's an all around great utility disc.  I've used it for long or short up shots as well as forehand rollers and thumbers.  I'm probably one of the few that will be comparing a firebird to a felon when I get the chance.

    Dynamic's Firebird!

The Innova Firebird is a well known classic mold...it's so classic that nearly every other company out there attempts to make their own version of it. This is Dynamic Disc's answer to the Firebird, and I must say it does a very good job of matching up to that legendary disc!

I got a DyeMax Captain America Shield Felon at our club's local 2-Disc Challenge and I really enjoyed throwing it. My Felon is crazy flat with a very comfortable rim. The DyeMax plastic (a blend of Fuzion) is very comfortable..grippy and flexy without being floppy. It also holds up really well to various impacts. It feels great in the hand, but make no mistake, the Felon is one bad mother. It is beefy yet decently glidey. Even forehand (which I have a lot of torque on) the Felon was a hyzer the whole way. Giving it height didn't really help me too much either...the Felon does not hold a pretty looking, glidey hyzer...it SPIKES!

Great overstable utility disc, but not for the faint of heart or arm!

I've got the 175g Captain America Dyemax Felon in my bag. It was the first Trilogy disc that I have ever thrown. The feel of the Dyemax Fuzion plastic took some getting used to. I started out feeling very slick.

Out of the box I'd say it's pretty comparible to a Firebird. It's overstable, and that results in it being very predicatable. After a few weeks, the slick feeling began to fade and I felt more confident throwing it. I typically reserve the Felon for forehands, spike hyzers, or low hyzer skip shots. As the Fuzion plastic has beat it, the Felon flies a bit longer for me. I can probably get it to go a tad further than my Firebird, but they would be close. I really, really like this disc. I also use my Felon for stable forehand rollers. I don't throw them often, but I like the way I can maniuplate this disc to roll. If I land it around the 1 o'clock position when forehand rolling, it will go about 215 feet pretty straight, then begin to curve off.

With the Captain American Dyemax, it's so fun to watch. I feel like ole Capt. in battle. I've gotten so many compliments on the disc. If I ever pass any children on the course, they always say "WHOAAAAA! Captain America Sheild".

If you want an overstable fairway/control driver thats comparible to a Firebird, give the Felon a shot.

Great disc! overstable enough to crank on it without flipping, but not so much that it dumps left out of your hand. My go-to driver for sure. It's also great for thumbers

I bought this in the Captain America Dyemax edition and was really excited to throw it.  Unfortunately the fade is just too powerful for me.  I can throw it a decent distance in comparison with my other discs, but the fade is so strong that there are very few holes that I will use it on.  I'd say the fade is a litle more strong than they rate it.  It's an okay disc to have in your bag though if you've got holes in mind for it.  I don't think I would buy another one if I lost it...unless I could get it with such an awesome stamp again.
