The Training Wizard from Gateway is a non-PDGA approved, overweight version of the immensely popular Wizard putter. They range from 240g - 300g in weight. They are intended to develop core strength. Mostly, they are a very popular novelty disc, as many players love the idea of throwing a heavy disc as far as they can.

Again, this is NOT PDGA APPROVED.

Just like baseball using heavy weighted plyo balls to increase pitching speed. This is the same affect but for disc golf. Wouldn't say beginner friendly. Better for someone whos got the basics down and is ready to up their distance. Don't be swayed by 350ft throwers who have played for 20 years telling you this isn't it. Because it is!

I was not a fan of this. It seems counter productive to throw these heavy discs for practice. Practice with the discs you will throw in your rounds.
