I liked the I-blend sphinx so much when it first released that I picked up a G-blend when they first came out. Still going strong after over 5 years. Fantastic run of Gstar plastic, very stiff by gstar standards which is usually my only complaint about the plastic. Just as flippy as the I-blend initally is but holds its stability for much longer.

This disc is good. I have a 150g Sphinx and it flies good and it is accurate. if you are sponsored by Infinite discs then I recommend using this disc. and if you don't have a choice to throw down hill 300ft use the 150g Sphinx.

The Sphinx quickly became my go to driver on open holes for good distance. Solid reliable turn without being too out of control (except for those pesky headwinds). I don't have the best arm speed so I'm not going to turn it right over into roller but if you get even a bit of turn on it, it'll glide for days. The thing that surprised me the most is even on soft hyzer or flip ups that don't quite get to flat, it still glides for a long time without dumping super hard. I mainly use this disc on backhand as it is way to understable to forehand unless there's a significant tailwind. I'd suggest this disc for anyone with lower arm speeds that struggle to get full use out of distance drivers but need something farther flying than most control drivers I think it bridges the gap a bit.

Flip up MACHINE! Right out of the box this thing can flip and even turn on a good hyzer! Fantastic for wooded courses; you can power down on it and have it fly dead straight through trees. With the proper form you could probably roll it out of the box too! Great for beginners and pros alike!

This is a great disc for Disc golfers of all types beginners to more experienced players.  I have reached for my sidewinder for years for easy for long tunnel shots or tight anny holes that require the disc to stay straight before going into the turn.  In comes the SPHYNX this disc is like a longer sidewinder.  I don't have the strongest arm but can finesse a US disc up to 325 to 350 feet.  If you go full 100% you can make it roll, but it has much more production as a flip up disc that stays a long way straight. The G-blend is great still has a little stability but is very forgiving when hitting trees and doesn't go a mile.  Im probably going to get a MF version to add a stabler brother to this G blend.  Right now its sticking in the bag.

I just started in May 2020 and get way more distance that I should out of this disc with a slight hyzer on a backhand. Not my favorite forehand disc, but for backhand shots for a beginner, this thing is as good as it gets.

The G-Blend Sphinx is a great disc. I use this in place of my I-blend when the weather gets colder. In terms of stability, the G-Blend slides right between the Color Glow Metal Flake and I-blend. See my MF and I-blend reviews for more info on the flight characteristics. The G-Blend Plastic is a bit stiffer than Innova's G-Star but still plenty grippy. Another great plastic option for a great disc!

Great disc for beginners learning how to control understable drivers.  Works well for more advanced players as a flip up, or roller/utility disc.  Always in my bag on technical and stroke and distance courses alike.

The Sphinx has become my workhorse.  I love the plastic.  It's grippy and feels great in the hand.  The workability is where this disc shines in my opinion.  Throw it on a slight hyzer and it goes dead straight with a forward left finish.  Anny and it will ride the angle.  No turn and burn.  Flat release will have a slight right turn and the predictable left forward fade.  Doesn't have a -3 turn to me either which is a plus

I don't have a very strong arm which makes the Sphinx perfect for me. I can get reliable hyzer flips or turnovers with this disc and hit some pretty nice lines with it. The G-blend is pretty flexible and I find it's super grippy. I got it as a mystery disc and it immediately became one of my most thrown discs since I've gotten it. I haven't tried it for rollers yet (hasn't been very good weather for it) but from how I've been throwing it I'm confident it'll work great for that too.

I received a 175g G blend last week; it was my first try with adding a mystery disc. In all honesty, I was not thrilled upon seeing this. First off, I figured this was just Infinite's way of putting their discs out there, and I no longer throw a Sidewinder and it has similar numbers.

I was WRONG!! This disc is fantastic! I love the G plastic. Nice and grippy but not floppy, it is still firm. This thing soars! My sidewinder was very light, with the 175g this disc was not turning and burning. I was getting nice straight throws and was continually impressed by how far they were going. I have happily added this to my bag!

I just received this as a mystery disc with my order and i couldn't be happier! This disc kicked leopards out of my bag. Thrown on an anhyzer it will hold and for bigger arms i could see this being a great roller disc. I love throwing this on a hyzer flip in the woods.

First... I have gone through 7 different discs with similar flight ratings. I eventually bagged the Leopard3 in Swirly Star, then DD Witness in Fusion and Prime, and now to the Sphinx in G and I-blend at max weight. The 2nd reason is why I put the Sphinx above all other Turn-Control FD's.

2nd is the rim design. Compare the Sphinx rim to other turning FD's and you should notice to difference quickly.  The Sphinx rim design is incredibly comfortable in the hand. And that leads to reason 3.

3rd is the G-blend plastic! I don't know if you guys changed the G-Star plastic recipe or if this is placebo effect... but your G-blend is perfect (Pharaoh next please!). It has the same (if not better) grip as G-Star but not nearly as soft. It broke in to about the same stiffness as a brand new stiff G-Star... perfect!

Last... I love walking up to holes that call for the Sphinx! On a tailwind hyzer release it flips to flat and rides a pretty straight line. Flat release, anhyzer release, and headwind is when this disc gets real fun! Perfect turns, rollers, and control beyond others in its class.

Ive reviewed and have been bagging the I-blend Sphinx since it's release and have to add another for the G-blend.

I was very excited when Infinite came out with the Sphinx in different plastics. I love the I-blend, it's my favorite plastic for drivers, but in the Sphinx it gets flippy pretty quickly. This is great when I want to effortlessly and sharply turn right or easily roll, but often I need something that will gradually turn right or s-curve from a hyzer-flip. Especially for lower line shots, the I-blend Sphinx had just become too touchy.

The g-blend Sphinx is exactly what I wanted. Initially this disc in 175g was straight city, but after a few rounds the turn started coming out. It now flies exactly like my 175g I-blend Sphinx did out of the box. Perfect hyzer-flip disc, and I know it'll stay this way for a good while. The most surprising part of this disc is the plastic; I throw a lot of gstar because I really love the grip it offers and more understable flight out of the box, but I've never liked the floppiness of the plastic, especially in wider rimmed drivers. This g-blend Sphinx is just a tad less stiff than newer runs of star (comparing it to my Shryke and leopard3) with the same texture as gstar. I don't know what you guys at Infinite told Innova to do with g-blend plastic, but it is nothing short of gstar perfected. Maybe it's the 175g and blue colour combo? Hopefully not!
