Swirled Star Khan
Firmer Star plastic, not the super glossy, gummyish Star thats been on the Halo Star tour series runs recently, some nice swirls if you can find em. A solid 7.5/10 for grip at least.
Uses for Me: BH (Backhand) Throwing Putter, basically a more stable compliment to my Alpaca (Aviar/P2), anything from 150 - 250 ft shots, I can get this to 300ft (close to 100% power for me) but I would rather use a mid for that distance, good in all wind directions under 15mph (24 kph); depending on the shot. Very good for touchy BH approach shots, hyzers, and panning anhyzers. Very good BH torque resistance ** haven't tested the forehand much ** not the shot I would use this for personally
Why my rating?:
3 Speed: Pops out of the hand and seems to hold more of its speed for longer compared to my (Gummy C-Blend Alpaca - 2.5/3/0/1)
2.5 Glide: When compared to an Alpaca this definitely has less glide, seems to depend how hard you throw the disc. Up to about 60% power this disc has a 2ish Glide, over 60% power this disc has closer but not quite ever a 3 Glide.
0 Turn: Out of the box there is no turn at all. Maybe if you have 350-400ft power with a Putter... I don't
2.5 Fade: When released flat, nose down, with more than 60% power this disc flies quite straight before a late decent fade kicks in. The fade is more pushing rather than a dump hence why I dont think it deserves a 3 fade.
This is a superb disc! I've never thrown the P3x (my understanding is that this is the same disc) There is nothing I don't like about the disc. Its very flat, very comfortable in the hand (as long as you dont mind a rather large bead), has just enouph glide to get to the target but not too much as to hang in the air too long, and great stability.
