The TC River Pro and Gold Line Burst River Pro seem like two different discs. I could put as much on the TC River Pro as I wanted, and it would not turn at all, like a 6/4/0/2. The Gold Line Burst was significantly less stable, more like 6/5/-1/1.5. I would throw it, and it would turn until it flattened back out before hitting the ground. Initially, I dropped the River Pro for the Explorer. Now, I bag the Getaway for my overstable fairway, but I think either of those are a better, at least more consistent, mold for that slot.

I decided to try this disc mainly because of that gorgeous Burst Goldline plastic and because I love the original River. As a forehand thrower, I found the rim easy to grip. In general, the best way I can describe this disc is to liken it to the Teebird, and I think thats what they were trying to achieve. i found it to be less stable than the TB, which gives it a bit more glide and distance. I don't know if I trust this disc into much of a headwind though. Interestingly, it seemed to have more fade than a typical TB. Overall, this one of the better TB clone attempts that I've tried. Unfortunately, just like the other company's attempts, it just doesn't beat the original for me. Its a touch less consistent than the TB is, and consistency is everything when you're choosing your control drivers. If I was throwing all Trilogy, it'd probably make the bag, but it doesn't unseat the longest tenured mold in my arsenal
