I have a 175g Aftermath in Icon plastic. The disc is well made, no flashing or oddities to be seen. Icon is a quality Star-like plastic that feels good, releases well for me, and typically looks pretty cool, though my Aftermath doesn’t actually sport the same marbleized color patterns most of my other Icon discs have, so this one looks a bit more bland; however the multi-toned reflective stamp does look really good. As for flight characteristics, in short, I’d describe this as a straighter Shryke, although it is 9 grams heavier, so that may account for the Aftermath not exhibiting as much turn. After testing this out together with a couple -2/2 and -3/3 (Turn/Fade) drivers, I’d say its flight numbers are mostly OK, except its fade didn’t appear to be any more than that of the 2-Fade discs, so I’d adjust it accordingly. I really like my Shyrke, so a disc that is pretty similar but a little straighter, is great to have. The slightly higher weight has perhaps kept it from going quite as far as the other, but at the same time has helped stabilize it into the wind to keep it more on target. Despite the understability of the disc, I think the disc speed will probably make this less useful to beginners than some slower, understable options, but not a bad choice for exposing them to their next steps up as they gain more experience and power. All in all a great disc!

This is my go to driver for distance. I carry a 166, 168, amd 170g in my bag. Just understable enough that it will turn a little then fade back.

I say somewhat beginner friendly if you have the arm speed and form. I have it in the icon plastic. Is very firm. I mainly use this for low tunnel shots to rip a quick flex or as a crispy forehand. I have found that if you don't give it enough power, it doesn't turn at all and the 3 rating for fade, should be a 2 or 1.5 to me.

This is a "next step" disc if you are hovering around 400.  I just went and field tested this disc.  I average 375-400.  All six of my throws with this disc went 450.  For me, it flies exactly like a slower Cannon with a hair more glide.  If you are just not quite at the Cannon arm speed, or play at altitude like I do, then pick one up.  FWIW, mine is a 168 Blue ICON.

Based on the numbers, my thought was Legacy was trying to make something to rival the Shrykes, Sheriffs, and other such discs that have been coming out lately.  That is not at all what this disc is.  I have heard it compared to a slightly longer, less beefy outlaw <- this is fairly accurate.  I disagree with the -2 turn, because it really does not want to flip up for me at all  I hardly see any turn unless thrown perfectly flat.  This disc handles a headwind pretty well, and has a really nice fade.  It feels pretty fast, and the rim is "interesting."  For the size, it is more comfortable than I expected.  As is, I've unbagged it and rebagged it a few times now.  I'm not entirely certain what to do with it.  It definitely crushes, but you have to throw it with everything.  It also worked surprisingly well for forehand (where I actually did see a little turn), but is not quite as reliable FH as the Outlaw.  I would love to try this disc in different plastics.  For the time being, I bag it on windy days, and when I need a visible color when I kick white discs out of the bag due to snow.

I really like the Aftermath.  For me, it flies very similar to a Discraft Crank.  It has the same neutral stability, with a tight S curve flight.  I am primarily a FH thrower, and on a level release, it has a good turn, before it falls into a consistent mild fade.  Into a good wind, I had to put a hyzer release on it to keep it from turn all the way over.  The rim is very comfortable in the hand and it gives a smooth release.  It is a great distance driver, one that will get some good distance without throwing your arm out.  A few throws, I didn't get a good snap on and it did flare out fast, so it is not completely beginner friendly. But overall this is a disc that has found a spot in my bag as one of my bombers.

I got my farthest drive ever with this, slight wind to keep it up and driving downhill. This thing just soared, thrown slight anny and it held a nice long s with a crisp fade at the end, got me an eagle putt on a par 4. Gotta crank on it a bit to get the ideal flight tho

    The Aftermath Bombs!

With as thick as the rim is, I was expecting the Legacy Aftermath to be way too overstable for me to throw. I was wrong. I may have had the longest forehand drive of my life with this disc. When released level this thing turned slightly, glided forever and then faded out at the end of flight.  Once you get past the really thick rim the White 175g Aftermath I have is almost completely flat which really helped me keep control on my flicks.

After seeing how well the Aftermath flew forehand, I was really sure that I wouldn't be able to get any distance out of it backhand. I was wrong. This disc isn't going to flip up for me and get the extra S-Curve distance, but as long as my release was level, it went really far before consistently dumping left at the end of the flight. This disc is great for those instances where I want distance but need to make sure to finish left. Being that it's more overstable than the normal Destiny's and Shrykes that I throw, this disc is also good for moderate headwinds where you I still want a disc that will go far without turning over into an accidental roller.

While I was able to get great distance with the Aftermath, I'm just not confident enough with a rim this thick to regularily throw it. While I had some great distance, I also wasn't very consistent with my release point as I'm used to much thinner rimmed drivers. If you like thick rimmed distances and like discs that go far and glide well, you'll want to try out the Legacy Aftermath.

The Legacy Aftermath was such a fun disc to test out. I really feel like fun is the best word to describe this disc. I was expecting it to be more overstable for some reason, but it is a fantastic distance driver. It has a solid fade once it slows down, but it would just hold the line I put it on for days before finally starting to fade. If I put it on a big flex it would hold that line forever before finally starting to fight back at the end of the flight. I was getting this disc over 400 feet with relative ease. I use prodigy D series drivers, and it reminded me the most of a D2. I think theAftermath is a fantastic addition to the Legacy lineup, and I think Legacy fanatics will have a blast with this disc. If you feel like you just need a change of pace for your max distance driver, give the Legacy Aftermath a try, and I doubt you will be disappointed.

After throwing the Icon Aftermath my initial thoughts were pretty positive. In the hand, it was much more comfortable versus other Legacy drivers like the Cannon or Rampage. I threw it half a dozen times on different lines and found it to be a decent distance driver. When i threw it flat, it held a straight like with minimal turn. When I threw it on an anhyzer angle, It held that angle for most of its flight before fading out. When thrown on a hyzer it barely flipped up and glided quite well.

The Aftermath is probably now my favorite wide rimmed driver that Legacy makes. It even has a pretty cool stamp.

The Aftermath is a wide-rimmed, flat-topped, low profile, high-speed driver. With the maximum rim width, I expected the disc to require about all the power I could muster, but with the flight ratings, I expected more of an understable release, perhaps like a Nuke SS. I was both right and wrong...The Aftermath did need a lot of arm speed to get the desired distance results. Since I don't typically throw 400 feet or more, I didn't get much of the understable "turn" upon release, as the numbers would suggest. So it definitely had more overstability than a Nuke SS. I only got that understable turn if I released a flex shot with a slight anhyzer. That being said, the disc did fly nicely on that anhyzer line before fighting back on the finish fade. It always faded back in the end (sometimes more pronounced than others).

I was able to throw the Aftermath on hyzer lines and the disc kept those lines very well. It's so flat and fast that there isn't much glide. It slices though the air fast, so it does take power to throw this thing. That is probably why I wouldn't recommend it as an ideal distance driver for new players. I probably wouldn't recommend any speed 13-14 drivers for beginners, but this one does have a pretty sharp fade if you can't throw it up to speed.

The Aftermath is a fun distance driver for those who CAN throw this speed, and if you like flat-topped drivers with wide rims, you'll love the look of it.
