The Patriot is a disc I used as a beginner and then went away from until I played a mystery pack challenge and pulled a Cole Redalen Patriot as my driver.  Using it again made me really appreciate the disc for how it can be used in many situations.  The Signature Pinnacle plastic was pretty stable to start with, so it wasn't so flippy like I expected.  The Patriot is a very usable disc that gives good clean releases from.  It could even handle a forehand, as long as I didn't crank to hard on it.
