The Lone Star Disc Wrangler is coming to town! Maybe they'll do a colab with a certain jeans company. Probably not, but it's fun to speculate. Just by the sound "Wrangler" it is neutral flying 9-speed that fits perfectly in between the popular Lariat and Mad Cat molds.

As a member of team Lone Star, I can say that personally I think a lot of the drivers are too shallow. I'm sorry Sheldon. They fly great but they always would early release. The Wrangler is nice and deep, which I love, and flies pretty good too! Obviously love the plastic, (Lone Star is great) but I think Lone Star's putter and mid game is slightly better than they're fairway and distance game.

*NOTE* I only give 5-stars out to discs that I bag and throw actively. A 4-star disc is great and may come in and out of the bag for me and I can see another player actively bagging it.

The Wrangler fits perfectly in between the Lariat and the Mad Cat and because of this I think the numbers are perfect. I think that slower arms will find this to be straight with and overstable finish and bigger arms will find this disc to be a neutral control driver. Personally, this was getting a flip-up-to-flat with a decent fade at the end of the flight. This flies like a beat in Star Thunderbird, Halo Dynasty's, or a more stable run of Undertakers. This is more stable than Saints, Escapes, and Swirly Dynasty's. As I said in the beginning the flight is the marriage of the Lariat and the Mad Cat. There was something about the flight of this that was so easy. I was ripping this out and past the 400' mark with ease. I've been working on form so maybe something is finally translating, or maybe the Wrangler goes far.

I have a fairly standard power grip and my hands are a good medium-large size. Most discs feel just fine with me, but for some reason the Wrangler didn't resonate with me. The feel reminded me a lot of a 9-speed version of the Time-Lapse. Deep, slight to major dome, and something funky with the wing. That being said, handfeel is very subjective so I am still giving 4 stars as I can see a lot of players not being affected by how this disc feels.

The handfeel wasn't for me, but the flight was everything I want from a neutral 9-speed. Solid disc from the Lonestar lineup.
