This is the first disc I have thrown from Millennium and it does not disappoint. I lost my destroyer a day before a tournament and got a Scorpius in my player's pack. I LOVE THIS DISC! Even though I purchased another Destroyer the Scorpius feels just as good if not better in my hand and has now taken the Destroyers spot as my main overstable distance driver.

Backhand - I have been playing disc golf for 5 months and do not have the strongest backhand (250-300 average). For a 13-speed driver, I can control this disc better than my Wraith, Destroyer, and Force. If you can get enough power behind this disc at the right angle the Scorpius will fly straight until a decent fade and skip. To me, this feels more like an 11-speed driver when I throw it correctly. I have the power to get it down the fairway BUT I do have a tendency to grip lock it when I need to throw it tight and straight. You need to find the right balance of finesse and power to make this disc work if you are not a proficient backhand player.

Forehand - 9/10 times when I throw this disc I throw it forehand. The disc is flat and feels extremely comfortable in my hand. I use the Scorpius for flex shots that I can push 375ft (my max) in open fields. I also use it for Hyzer shots more than any other disc in my bag. The only other thing that comes close is the Flick. Expect a massive skip at the end of any forehand shot with this disc. If you need something to stop when it hits the ground this is not the disc you are looking for. BUT if you need a disc that can give you plenty of skip ace runs look no further the Scorpius is a keeper!  I live in Oklahoma and the wind is a factor every time I play. The Scorpius is a great disc that will cut through the wind both backhand and forehand. It needs a lot of power to get through 20-30mph winds, when throwing it forehand you just need to make sure to not turn the disc over and not watch it fly to the next tee pad.

Overall the Scorpius feels just like my Sockibot destroyer. It flies how I want it to more than any of my other Distance Drivers. It's nice to pick up a disc that isn't from one of the big companies and fall in love with it. I would suggest that beginner players stay away from the disc until they have some consistency with there form. If you can throw anything higher then an 11-speed overstable driver I highly suggest trying out the Scorpius!

The Scorpius has replaced all of my destroyers in my bag. Although it is rated at speed 12 (production runs, not the first run), I would say its more of a 13. Rides very straight with a solid fade that can be trusted every single time. Forehands are also perfect for this disc, even if you need a slight flex out of it.

Another staple in my bag for distance. My trifecta of terror consists of a Quasar, Destroyer, and 171 Scorpius. I find mine to be a little more understable than a Destroyer of comparable plastic and weight. It is broken in a little bit, but not totally beat and while it is a little flippier than I hoped, it is still a fantastic disc.

It's basically a Destroyer but I feel with a little more turn and less fade. Flips up great for an overall very straight flight. This thing can CRUISE...had some favorable conditions and got a good 475 out of this with a flight that ended up just a little right overall after throwing with a decent hyzer line.

Don't trust it in wind and there's better options for sidearm, but as a backhand, throwing 85% power, I find this very controllable, consistent, and FAST!

Definitely worth a try if you're even thinking about it!

Disc:  Millennium Standard Scorpius First Run - 175 gram

Look & Feel: Millennium Standard plastic is grippy and somewhat soft (Innova Driver Pro plastic is similar). The Millennium Scorpius is more comfortable than the Innova Destroyer in my hands due to a blunted, round nose and slightly deeper rim. Being the first run of the Scorpius in MS plastic, I found they molded true to the feel of the Sirius ones that I own with a little narrower rim depth/height (probably due to the difference in the cooling of the plastics) with a slight dome closer to the Quantum Lunar plastic.

Flight: Off the shelf the MS Scorpius flight was more straight to overstable than the very overstable Sirius plastic with more glide. The MS plastic will stretch and break in after a few rounds producing more high speed turn and additional glide while retaining most of the low speed fade. Can be affected by headwind conditions if not accounted for in the release angle/speed. I've pushed past 380' on a backhand on level ground (max distance over 500' on slight headwind & downhill aided throws).

Impressions & Comparisons: The MS plastic breaks in pretty quickly but has not had any nicks/dents from hitting branches and trees multiple times. Useable stability from the first throw which should last as long as you aren't strictly hitting trees/rocks.

For a full bag player, I would recommend the MS Scorpius as a replacement/temporary stand in for a lost/initial beat in Sirius version.

Comparing flight ratings of Millennium Scorpius' different plastic types that I have thrown:

    • MS - Initial 12/5/-0.5/3, Beat in - 12/5.5+/-1/2.5
    • Sirius - Initial 12/4/0/3, Beat in - 12/5/-0.5/2.5
    • Quantum Color Lunar(glow) - 12/5/-0.5/3
