After trying the Mustang, I decided I wanted the other mid from Mint. The Bobcat feels awesome for both backhand and forehand shots. It will hold it's line and then reliably fade. It also loves to skip when thrown hard and low. This disc did something I thought no disc would do; it kicked the Verdict out of my bag after using it for 6 years.

I actually bought this disc in Royal Plastic along some other Mint discs in their Apex and Sublime for the sole purpose of wanting to feel the plastic and compare this disc with the DD Verdict and Discmania Method (2 discs currently in my bag).

Let me first say Royal being their entry level plastic feels amazing, especially on a mid-range like the Bobcat.  I play in Oregon in a lot of rain and to me Royal reminds me a lot of DD's Classic Blend, which you don't find on many mid ranges.

Flight wise I would say the disc is pretty true to it's numbers.  It's stable (I bumped it to a 3 fade for my review). For newer players this disc would be probably almost like them throwing a Zone, Justice, Anvil, Deflector etc..

For Advance level players I would say the disc is very comparable to the Verdict, Roc3, Buzz OS.

If you play in the rain like my I highly recommend getting some discs in Royal plastic.  This disc will make my bag for raining rounds.

I bought this based on the reviews and because I think MVP has the best plastic in the game (and they really need to expand their streamline series of single mold discs). Anyhow, the bobcat did exactly as the reviews advertised (and nothing like the flight numbers), it was a beefy little thing. My longtime midrange lineup has been: Dynamic Discs Verdict, MVP Matrix, Discraft Buzzz SS. This is like a slower, less glidey verdict. So holes I'd like to throw my verdict on but think it won't hook up soon enough are perfect for the bobcat. The disc has a flat top and beadless bottom (or if it has a bead, it's tiny). Feels great. flies excellently. I love it. So I added it as a tweener disc in below my verdicts. I'd say it's in the approach series of discs for all but serious power players. For someone with an average arm, it is going to be a short range highly accurate approach disc. My flight numbers 4.5, 3, 0, 3.5.

My review is for a Blue Eternal Bobcat Serial# BC-01-19 weighing in at 175 grams.

Plastic: The Eternal plastic used on this disc is some of the best champ style plastic I've ever felt, it's right up there with Kastaplast K1. It's very grippy, with a nice amount of flex. It reminds me of Z Glo FLX from Discraft or a softer Eclipse from MVP. Durability seems pretty good, no major dings or gouges after 20+ rounds.

Feel: The Bobcat is a smaller diameter midrange, it's noticeably smaller than the Buzzz and very close to the Zone. In my hand it feels like a "fuller" Buzzz.

Flight: The Bobcat is a pretty overstable mid but it's not a utility mid. It flies more overstable than the beefiest runs of Buzzz but not as overstable as a Buzzz OS. For me it flies like a faster version of my beat in esp glo Zone. On a flat release the bobcat will go straight for 70% of it's flight. After that it will start fading out without losing much forward momentum until the last 5% of its flight when it hooks into the ground. I don't get much ground play out of mine but I could see a stiffer run getting a good skip.

Overall I'm very happy with this disc. It perfectly fills the slot between your straight/stable midrange and your OS utility midrange.  I find myself reaching for the Bobcat more and more thanks to it's comfortable feel and reliable flight.

This is the first midrange I have absolutely fallen in love with since the Puma. Consistent, flies where I point it with a nice soft fade at the end, and feels like velvet in the hand(comfy not actual velvet). This is my go-to off the tee currently (still early stages of my form) and can consistently get 275(and rising).

So I did not know what to expect when i received this disc. I threw it with no expectations and what I found was it was extremely overstable. What I liked was that it actually flexed on short throws going a full s-curve. It is controllable short range approach disc. The plastic felt nice and I can see why people like this brand. Overall good disc especially if you live in Texas wind.

Just picked up a Bobcat in Eternal plastic.

I threw a couple of rounds with it yesterday, and wow. It's a great power midrange.

I took out my Verdict and 2 Suspects and used the Bobcat in their place for both rounds.

This disc can handle serious power. I got on it with just about everything I had (fan grip) and it didn't turn at all. Instead, it held a long, straight flight with a good amount of fade at the end.

For reference, I max out at about 320' with my mids.

I also threw a few forehands with it, and it was very resistant to turning!

Thrown hard on an anhyzer, it would fight out at the end.

I am excited to see how this disc beats in and what it can become.

It has nicely filled the slot between my Truth and Anvil.

This is one of the most comfortable rims i have held in any disc. To compare, it's like a rounded E mac truth or a fuller version of a FD. This disc is also VERY comfortable forehand, witch i find to be rare in mids. i can rip this disc forehand no problem, something i have had problems with in the past because of the shapes of other mid rims.

This disc has excellent glide, i would compare to the MD3 or Roc3. It holds a true straight fight path but is flexible enough to shape shots when needed. Versatility and consistency is the strength of this disc, a true work horse mid that will find many uses in your bag.

I will be bagging a 175g apex for turn over shots and shaping unique  lines. i will also bag a 180g eternal for straight shots and wind conditions. Mint discs has made a truly great mid.

A fairly decent mildly overstable mid.

Let me start off by saying I have no issues with Mint and I really like some of the things they are trying to do.

My problem is that I felt a bunch of these before I picked one up and the plastic feel and flexibility were all over the place, this is highly unusual for a small company that releases relatively low numbers of discs. I firmly believe it is due to the company that actually molds the discs overseeing quality control and having so little concern for consistency that they don't even want their name to be associated(with NDAs and all).

It's hard enough trying to find the "right" disc from some of the bigger guys, so unfortunately I won't likely be checking out any future Mint releases.

This disc is amazing! It is a small diameter low profile flat topped beadless overstable midrange that is very workable.

It is a true Power Midrange, it can handle alot of tourque either forehand or backhand, and has plenty of stability to handle some of the strongest headwinds.

Also handles flex shots very well, when powered up they hold anhyzer angle for a excellent amount of time and but always fading out.

They also come in a wide variety of bright colors and stiffness, all being very consistent in flight! Gummy or stiff you can find the perfect disc for you!
