I tried the Mint Goat because I love MVP plastic. I'm not a power player, so backhand it didn't do a whole lot for me. I did get it to work throwing forehands, but it was really too overstable for me to get good distance. Every once in a while, it would not act overstable. I just really couldn't get a feel for it. But I think you probably need at least 400' of backhand power to be able to see what this disc can really do. I unfortunately do not.

I really wanted to love the goat. Mint is my favorite company and I love their plastics and their discs. But for me, the goat fell a bit flat. As usual, the plastic looks and feels amazing. To me, MVP and all of its subsidiaries have the best feeling plastic and Apex is no different. As well, the goat is flatter for a destroyer-type disc and I prefer flatter discs overall. But the problem was it flew like a brick. There was no glide and it was crazy overstable. I will never say I have a cannon for an arm but I'd be surprised if I was breaking 300' when throwing this and I can definitely throw farther than that. If you're looking for a 12-speed that will fight wind and always fade, and distance isn't that important, the goat is your disc. But that's not what I was looking for.

Lighter weights are flatter and more OS.

170+ weights have more dome and fly like Sockibot Destroyers... once they beat in.

Being from Texas I try to support Mint Discs every chance I get and was only moderately excited about their new high speed "Destroyer Clone", but saw they had them in lighter weights, so I picked up a 168g and went out to compare it with my two 170g Sockibot Destroyers. The flight, to me, had very little glide and was extremely overstable. Fresh off the shelve the 168g flew like 13-4-0-4.  I only have 370' of power, so this was nearly unusable. I noticed in a review video that they found the lighter weight was more OS with less glide than a 175g so I picked up a 175g and tested it against my 168g.

More dome and although I didn't see the high speed turn immediately it did go much further than the 168g. Got a few 300'+ throws with it. Worked on breaking it in and now it gets the -1 turn and still has the 3 fade. Very dependable and now I'm getting consistent 330' on controlled lines.

4 stars for inconsistency on mold

Overall, I would suggest the 173+ weights for Destroyer lovers out there. Plastic feels MUCH better than Star plastic IMO. If you have a cannon arm go for the 165-169 weights.

As a person with more advanced arm speed 500+, I expected turn at higher powered throws. Well she just doesnt wanna. Was really hoping it would fit the destroyer slot but it is just so overstable. Also, ive notice my Goat has little glide compared to my destroyers and ballista pros. Ive had 2 so far, would love a pop top run or something. Its a great headwind fighter even on anhyzer. Otherwise, its much more stable and less glidey than suggested.

This is an absolutely amazing disc, to me it's a cross between a Destroyer and Boss but feels more comfortable in my hand. The Goat is fantastic to throw into headwinds. It's a little less domey than some of its counterparts which makes it great for me for forehands. Whether I'm throwing backhand or forehand though I find it to be easy to shot shape with. Definitely not taking the Goat out of my bag anytime soon.

Feels amazing in the hand and feels super smooth coming out of the hand, like it shouldn't feel this easy to throw. However the disc is a slab of BEEF, it could be me or my weaker arm but I didn't see any turn when throwing it in the field. It reminded me of the flat top champion firebird that were super beefy. The GOAT will have a spot in the bag.
