    NOT A BEGINNER DISC

I can throw consistently 450-475 ft with an MVP Octane on a flat release (or almost any 12 or 13 speed disc that has -1 to 0 turn with a 2 or 3 for fade). I've been playing disc golf for 3 years now and I've thrown discs from all major brands (Discraft, Innova, Lat64/West/DD,etc). I don't think that this disc is 0 turn nor 4 for glide. I take the MVP Neutron Nitro as benchmark (Manufaturing Rating: 13 / 4 / -0.5 / 3 ... so not that different from the Energy). I can throw a Nitro up to 350 - 400 ft on a flat release, and I can't make it pass 250 ft with an Energy on a flat release. The flight pattern is far more comparable to a Tilt or even Captain Raptor. This is the only disc from MVP that I do not agree with their flight rating assessment. I would love to see Simon Lizotte or James Conrad attempt a far distance thrown with an energy and see the flight pattern, it would help me understand if it's me not throwing fast enough or perhaps the flight rating is not accurate.

Definitely a utility disc for me. It's gotten me out of a lot of tight spots while scrambling. I can throw this disc almost vertical on a forehand and it will fight out of it. I've also found it useful for forehand rollers. It is definitely the most over stable disc I've ever experienced.

This is a disc for specific woods shots like an overhand forehand tomahawk anhyzer that gets to flat and fades hard to finish.  It also flare skips with stunning aggression.  For courses with brutal rough or very specific fairway shapes, this disc is really useful.

You may be tempted to throw it into a headwind, but it will dive to the ground as usual.  It's the most overstable disc I have ever thrown.

    WARNING: NOT A BEGINNER DISC

That being said, this thing was perfect for my ultimate headwind fighter. This thing is not only beefy, but it actually has some glide, meaning that in a headwind I can actually get a little distance on it, unlike something like the Tilt or Flick. It doesn't have the hard turning fade that many other meathook distance drivers have,  so it glides while cutting through wind. I highly recommend for someone who need something that can't turn over, ever, but still needs to punch through the air.

If you need something obnoxiously overstable, the Energy will get the job done. It's broken out of every angle I've put on it thus far, making it very useful for getting out of trouble and creating very specific shot shapes.
I use it a lot for short downhill doglegs that require an extra large skip to get within putting range.
The rim is the largest I've ever encountered, and I think the overmold makes it feel even bigger than it is. All in all, I wouldn't say it's necessarily unique, but it does its job and does it well.

This disc is stupidly overstable. I think it's genuinely the most overstable stock line produced disc made. It has a massively overstable flight and huge skip to accompany it. I consider this a utility disc and love it for that reason. I can't see myself bagging another utility disc overstable driver in it's place.

The rim size is quite thick (2.4) equating to that of a PD2 or XCal, so some may find it uncomfortable in the hand. It's quite thin on the edge so it spikes well compared to the thicker rim of a Max.

Great over stable disc. The wide rim feels really good, I have a fireball, but I don't like the narrow rim of the fireball so I have been using the energy more often because the wide rim feels better. The Energy is more overstable than the fireball too.

I use it to fight heavy winds for 300ft of distance. It also works great for spike hyzers. The spike hyzers will fade so hard that they land like you threw a grenade. This is a very useful disc.

Great wind fighter and forehand distance driver that had some glide once you get it up to speed. I could get it out around 415 and a great hard skipping fade. Not for the feint of arm and new players would be better served getting a less stable disc but if you are finding wind to be an issue or need a hard fading disc with decent glide this is a great one.

Ok look, so I understand, you probably picked up this disc, threw it and realized crazy overstable meathook, and like 90 percent of disc golfers (Well mainly the new ones) You say" The heck with this disc"and thats ok lol, most people probably trade sell or lose discs, when they dont like them, but then every now and then you get lucky and keep a disc that you don't like, so you set her aside your game evolves and now you start throwing new shots like anhyzers  . Well this is what this disc does better than any I've ever thrown for her speed. She fights out of any anhyzer line, so if your intermediate or advanced noob, you must have an mvp energy in your bag, you wont regret it. For anhyzer shots especially if your looking to start understanding and honing in on your anhyzer shots.

Massively overstable. For newer players this means it will just fall out of the sky very quickly  if you can't throw it like a Professional. Even my buddy who can throw 450-ft consistently with drivers had this disc turning throughout its flight, and yes I mean turning the fading direction.

    Numbers pretty accurate for MVP.

If you are a tall, strong and have great form then maybe you should get this disc. Otherwise stray away.

Does exactly what the numbers say. Extremely fast and overstable, fights any wind and always skips hard. Similar beefiness to the Motion but with the bigger rim.

I've played a decent amount of windy courses, with the most notably being Livingston Country Club over fall and winter in Montana. The wind works its way across the course in somewhat of a thumbprint pattern. It's also cold, really cold. The Neutron plastic was far easier to grip in those conditions than many other plastics, and the shape of the rim made enough sense to throw somewhat confidently with half-numbed hands.

The Energy gave me some incredible gains on the Livingston course compared to my Fluid Enforcer, Z Avenger and Z Avenger SS, Daedalus and Colossus. (I love all those discs--not ragging, just that they don't hold up to the weather the way the Energy did.) It also broke a few records--for both forehand and backhand throws. I didn't need to muscle it as much as I'd expected to at max weight in 20-30 MPH winds, in fact, throwing at about 60% power did the trick better than anything, but on calmer days, this one soars like a brick.

I bag it conditionally, for throwing confidently far during days and seasons where the wind looks like it'll be a major factor, but otherwise, I stick with my lighter MVP Octanes and Catalysts for long, straight sends. It also handles anhyzers well when my form's all off because I'm sore from other activities, which was a pleasant surprise. This review will get updated when I get a chance to try an Energy at 164-ish weight.

The only reason why I am giving this a 1 star is because I don't have the arm strength for the disc to be stable.

It fills a purpose for people that either have a cannon for an arm or someone that needs a super OS driver with limited glide.  My armspeed, RHFH or RHBH, was clearly not enough to get everything you can out of this disc.

I love this disc.  I used to throw a boss when I needed to throw in some crazy headwinds, have it hold the line, and come back to safety.  I mostly throw FHRH and need a disc to hanfle the extra torque.  The boss fit that slot perfectly but I got an ace and put it on the shelf.  I was using an ape and its turning out to be a nice disc for that...  at least it was till I threw the ENERGY.  I just got back from the park by my course and this energy went a good 40 to 50 feet further with the same straight flight and deeper finishing fade.  Instead of the meathook fade of the ape, the Energy just fades a lot more forward giving extra distance.  Ill update later on in the week.

The numbers seem pretty correct.  It's a bomber so far.  Great job MVP
