The Spin is a putter that MVP described as "an understable putter that will debut in the 2016 Circuit Event Series.  It has a deep profile like the Ion and Anode, which makes it great for glide-filled lofty flights.  Its controlled understability makes it suitable for both new and advanced players alike.

I wanted a premium plastic putter for slow turning shots. The Spin has been filling that slot for me for about 5 months now. I mostly love it, but I have a few things that keep me from loving it. It definitely fits the bill for understable as it holds the turn throughout the flight without so much that it becomes a throwler. There are two things I don't love about this disc. The first is that it's deeper than I prefer. I prefer shallower discs for throwing (and putting) and this is a pretty deep putter. The second things I don't love is the rounded inside of the rim. It's comforatable but just feels weird until you get used to it. Idealy, I'll beat in a Proxy enough to where that will replace the Spin for me, but untilt then, this disc has been great to have in the bag.

This disc is perfect for anything circle 2 and out. The flight numbers are spot on. I like the hand feel and it shares the mold of the anode and ion. It also works for approach shots if you don't have a reliable forehand. It doesn't turn and burn for me, but I make sure not to crank it. One of the better understable putters out there. I can't wait to get one in electron plastic, so infinite, please stock up!!!

The spin is a really reliable understable putt and approach disc. I bought my spin in the R2 Neutron plastic and it feels very nice in the hand. I throw pretty much everything fan grip. I throw this disc when i step up to a short hole with a slight right bend.

If i throw this disc on hyzer, it will stand up and fly dead straight. If i throw it on the same angle with slightly more power, I can get it to stand up and turn to the right.

This disc is also a very good approach disc. I throw it on straight 150 foot approaches. I like understable putters for straight approaches because they have less fade. This disc, if thrown correctly, will go dead straight if thrown flat on 150 foot approach shots.

Also, this disc is great for patent pending backhand shots. I would definitely recommend this disc for players of all skill levels.

My go to putter. Got a light one for longer putts. I've slammed so many circle 2 monsters my friends are like "whoa.. dude.. where did that come from?" And all I say is that I have the confidence in throwing this, not to lay up, but to go for chains. Even if this guy glides by I KNOW I can make the 30' come backer. MVP makes good stuff, buy it, try it, you'll agree.

I had an 174G R2 Spin. Threw it for a few rounds.

Feel is similar to an Ion or Anode as far as depth and the rounded inner rim. For me it's not my favorite feel as a throwing putter. Just OK.

The plastic seemed to be nice quality, recycled plastic. Medium type of flex, durability seemed good.

The flight was disappointing for me. Felt like it was slower and lower glide then the ratings. I would go 2/3/-2/0.

Overall it's a solid understable putter but just not for me.

I have a 174g R2 Spin. I love this disc and would recommend the R2 plastic to anyone. Despite being black and white this disc is surprising easy to find. The stark contrast in color makes it stand out really easily.

Anyways, the disc is nice and under stable with gradual turn. The turn becomes present when thrown, but for low power or putting speeds the disc is super straight.

The spin has lots of glide to it and makes for a really great up shot disc. I use it both backhand and forehand. Forehand I usually need to put some hyzer on it to fight the torque or else it will turn quickly.

This disc is very beginner friendly, but also super advanced at the same time because of how versatile it can be.
