The H5 has a stable to understable flight path. The H5 has plenty of speed to spare, and provides great flip-up-from-hyzer glide. When thrown properly, the mid flight glide is amazing. Distance matched with dependability will make this disc a favorite of beginner and advanced players.

As a beginner I have a hard time throwing this disc backhand and it go where I want. On the other hand throwing this disc forehand I get a nice line and a good fade at the end. If you are looking for a disc that can hyzer at the end but not too much, this is the disc for you.  Truthfully, this is not a go to disc for me unless I looking for something in between a driver and a mid range.

Maybe I got a weird one because mine is not very understable at all, fading out quickly. I'm not the greatest thrower, but I had a diamond with similar numbers and they fly nothing alike. However, it does hold up to a forehand nicely.

This is the most flippy disc I have ever thrown. I'd say the flight chart is spot on. The only way I can get this thing to fade at all is if I throw it on an almost vertical hyzer.

For beginners this is probably a 5 star disc since they'll be able to get nice hyzer flips, even at super slow arm speeds. Intermediate and above this is 3 stars or less. It's just too flippy to find a spot in my bag. However, I am still giving it 3 stars because it does exactly what the flight chart suggests.

Great disc for beginners. Smaller rim and easy to grip. This disc works great for beginners just learning to throw hybrid or fairways.

The H5 from Prodigy was finally the understable control driver I had been expecting. Out of the box I was able to hyzerflip this disc and throw it on some nice anhyzer lines. The more I worked with the disc the more I realized it was rather sensitive. This made it hard at times to be consistent, but when I hit it right, this disc really sailed down the fairway.

This disc is really cool.  Awesome for long left to right shots.  Glides in like ufo and stops.  I think is a great disc for exclusive bh throwers who are looking for something on fh holes.

I throw my distance drivers (mainly a Discmania DDx, but the D4 is comparable) about 360-370. At my power level, the H5 is the perfect turnover driver. I like to throw my discs flat and let them do the work. I can throw the H5 about as far as my distance drivers and it will turn right for most of the flight with a baby fade at the end. I also love the H5 as a roller disc. It's pretty easy to get it on the right angles and it will hold a roller line for a while. The rim is somewhat blunt and it feels incredibly comfortable in hand. I give my friends who throw prodigy a hard time because they aren't popular in my area, and their naming convention is boring, but they do make great discs. If you're in a similar power range I highly recommend the H5. I think it would be a great first driver for beginners too.

I have mixed feelings about the H5. I primarily throw understable drivers, I naturally release at a hyzer angle and so like discs that will start from the hyzer angle and flip up. The Prodigy H5 is definitely understable. I had some amazing throws with this disc, and was getting 350+ feet of distance with it, which is very good for me. But, this disc is pretty sensitive. If you put any anhyzer angle on it, it's going to hold that anhyzer and turn and burn far right. If I put too much hyzer on it, or didn't get enough power it wouldn't flip to flat and would pretty much hold the hyzer line. To get that nice flight and good distance, I had to get it just right -- and the reality of it is that I'm not a consistent enough player to consistently get it "just right" enough to want to bag the H5.

For Prodigy fans who want an understable driver for down wind and turnover shots, this disc might be what you are looking for. I just prefer other understable fairway drivers that are just more consistent for me. One thing for sure though, the Utah Open special edition H5's look amazing!

This is definitely the most beginner friendly disc in the H Series Lineup so far. This one is flippy! When thrown at my normal arm speed, it pretty quickly flips over and hits the ground rolling. So that's not super useful to me. Where I found this disc more useful is on throwing soft touch shots. I could get it really straight when thrown with less power for about 200-250 feet.

The plastic feels amazing, I've loved all of the newer 400 plastic, it's super grippy and feels very nice in the hand. I'd recommend this disc to anyone who throws at a beginner or intermediate level- you'll find good use for it!

I'm a big fan of the H series from Prodigy in general. My new favorite in the series is the H3 V2, so I was excited to try the H5 as an understable addition to the series. I would have to say that it succeeds in being understable, but almost too much for my personal tastes. I had to power-down quite a bit to get this disc to fly consistently in a straight pattern with gentle fade. When any extra power was added, it pulled a little too much to the understable side and did not come back. I do tend to release with a slight anhyzer, so that angle was exaggerated by the H5 and I struggled to get it right.

I wanted to give it three stars because I instantly decided that it wouldn't go in my bag, since I couldn't tame it, but I upped my review to four stars because I was honestly having a bad day with my throwing skills, and this wasn't a disc that was going to fix it for me. I can see it being an excellent driver for slower arms, and my partner for the test round was able to put the H5 on a perfectly straight line with minimal effort. It is a good driver that just didn't fit my needs of the moment. So, four stars.
