The M2 was the second PDGA approved midrange disc in the Prodigy line. It was originally named the M3, but to keep stability ratings consistent, was renamed the M2. This disc is described to be extremely reliable with a stable flight path. The M2 is designed for moderate power throws that need to consistently finish to the left (for right handed back hand throws). It is a consistent-flying disc for all wind conditions, especially in heavier weights. One nice thing about the M2, and the entire Prodigy line of midranges, is that these discs all have a similar wing size and overall feel. The dimensions of the M1, M2, M3, and M4 very only by a few millimeters. The M2 utilizes Prodigy’s easy release technology, giving it a most comfortable in-hand feel.

The M2 is a great mid range in the prodigy lineup for all players, but intermediate and above will find all kinds of uses for it. The M2 is a slightly overstable mid range that will hold straight for a lot of the flight and have a decent finish if thrown flat. The M2 will hyzer sharply if thrown on a steep hyzer but will glide on a slight hyzer line for a long sweeping hyzer. When thrown on anhyzer you can get some really creative and intuitive lines with it. The M2 has enough stability to fight out and finish if thrown softly on that anhyer line and when thrown with power, it can hold that angle and slowly pan to flat. It is an extremely useful and needed midrange for people who enjoy prodigy discs. The only grip I have with this disc is that the hand feel is not my favorite. The shape is not my first choice but the discs flight makes up for the not so great hand feel. A lot of people love how it feels so it just depends on what kind of mid shape you like.

Classic prodigy, love the plastic feel.

Slightly deeper rim than a buzz and more overstable. I give it a 3 star because I prefer other disc's in this same rating more.

I love the 400 M3 and 500 M4 I bought, but quickly the M3 went from being 'slightly overstable' to 'straight' and the M4 went from 'straight' to 'understable' and I had a gap in my bag. The M2 has filled it perfectly. Reliable but controlled fade and its torque resistance is definitely satisfactory for a somewhat overstable disc. If you like how the M3 feels but want something more overstable, get an M2 yesterday.

I will also say that the fact that Prodigy kept all the M line molds as similar as possible is fantastic, if you happen to like the molds. I certainly do. It feels like you're throwing several versions of the same disc that differ noticeably, but not drastically, in their flight characteristics. (I can't speak to the M1 or M5 though, since I don't bag either)

I received this in one of my mystery boxes and it is a great beaded midrange, feels great in hand.  I love this discs for upshots, but it is not as stable as it says.  I have had trouble throwing it and it turns over pretty easily and slowly fight back to fade.  This was upsetting because I kept retrying it and it never had the stability I wanted in the wind or to get back over and fade.  Now that I understand the disc better it is still a disc I grab out my bag a couple times a round and like to use.

Got this in a mystery box and at first didn't like it but as time passed it broke in and was my go to for everything.  In my opinion it was a great disc until I lost it...since I have tried several different mid's and have not found anything that was as good as this one.

Great disc for drives around 300 can handle a pretty good headwind if given hyzer. The 400 plastic feels like a gummy champion plastic. Great disc.

I got this M2 in 400 plastic as part of a mystery box. It is grippy and has consistent fade. I got my first ace with this disc, so now it's my go to mid range for RHBH.

I purchased this disc from a local store after seeing reviews about how some different runs may have some dome to them. I can attest to that and that's why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. I felt several in the store and some were flat and some had a dome to them, I ultimately settled with one that has a slight dome to it.

Now for the review the M2 I really enjoy this disc, based off of its numbers it should be like a less overstable verdict, and for those who have thrown a verdict you know it doesn't have that 3.5 fade at the end. But at the end of the day I was able to get what I was wanting out of this disc enough that it did replace my verdict, I lost mine so that and the fact I was wanting to try Prodigy's mids is why I went this route. If I throw this at about 90% with slight hyzer it will hold the line and then cut back pretty good ways to the left (RHBH) and not go far from where it hit. I could hit the line I wanted and know it would hit where I wanted. If I threw it full power with slight hyzer it would flip up and ride dead straight for a good way and then when it slowed down it was going to the left.

For the most part I agree with the numbers but the glide was a bit off for me, it seems to settle somewhere between 4-5 for the most part but it was also super windy the day and it handled the wind well I might add.

I love this disc. I use it for of the tee pads and it will always come back. I throw it with a slight hyzer it flips and flies dead straight with a strong finish. Now for 350 and in i will use the M2 for anything that needs to have a pretty decent amount of fade. It feels like a roc but is more over stable. When new it is more stable than you would expect, but as it breaks in it is very useful.

I'm very sad that I didn't like this disc. I love Prodigy but for some reason this disc just did not work for me.

I got this disc instead of a Roc3 cause I like Prodigy's plastic a lot and didn't want a bead. My M2 was pretty domey and it just felt weird in hand.

When I threw the disc it flew straight and then had a gentle fade. But on some more powered up shots, it would just turn and not come back. It wouldn't turn into the ground but it just kept going right. I was looking for a straight flight with a small fade at the end and this just wasn't it for me.

I also got a couple 200 X-out M2's cause they were cheap and that plastic felt... awful. Normal 200 x-out for something like a putter, feels very similar to other base plastics like DX. This 200 was VERY grippy but also extremely floppy (not flippy). The flight was basically the same as my 400 M2, but the flight changed way quicker. I have no idea what they did with the 200 on the ones I got but man it was weird. The 200 that's on the putters would have been way better.

If you can feel the disc around in person I would suggest doing it. I felt a 350g one that was pretty flat and it felt way better.

I got a M2 as part of a package deal of prodigy discs.  I loved the M4, but needed something a little more stable.  This disc fits that position and more.  It's not too over stable, but will always fade back.  You can bomb it, hyzer flip it, throw it in the wind; it will work great in all those situations.  This feels similar to an Emac Truth, but not as "beefy" in the hands.  I like the shallower flight plate this disc provides and the stability at the end of the flight.

I really want to like the M2, but it's just not stable enough for me. Not that I have a power arm, but I like more overstable mids. I like to only carry 2 mid molds, a beef cake I can season and an understable mold, so I carry a 400 m1, a 300 m1 and an m4.

The m2 has a more wasp/roc like flight, which a LOT of people like- if I was trying to get an innova guy to throw prodigy I'd likely hand them an m2 for their roc slot.

It's just not for me, when I reach for an overstable midrange, I want the Beef.

I have a proto M2 that was stamped as an M3 before Prodigy decided to change their lineup. The M2, for me, is a pretty straight disc that has a slight fade at the end of its flight. It is kind of a basic mid range flight, which can be found in many different midranges from all company's. I used the M2 for a few months until I found another disc that did the same thing but had a better feel in my hand. With that being said, the proto plastic does feel very grippy, almost too grippy for my preference. Basically, if you are looking for a consistent midrange, the M2 could fill that spot for you.

I used to love my M2, but after minimal wear (at least what i would call minimal) it has started to take a weird pull to the right. Other than that it really is pretty reliable. It will definitely go where it is intended on a fairly smooth yet fairly quick line. In hand it feels pretty nice, and the 400s plastic is so nice on the release.

The prodigy m2 is a very nice mid range disc with a very predictable finish the 400 plastic is amazing and extremely durable it still looks brand new after several months of use, the rim is very deep and takes a while to get use to, it has a fair amount of glide and always finishes to the left (rhbh) works pretty well into the wind, overall a great disc from a great company..

Rhbh not rhythm. Have had more of a chance to play with this disc since last review. It is super reliable. Any time I need to throw a spike hyzer, or need something to fade to the left and sit this is my to to disc. Everytime I think about using it but don't i regret it. It's a great disc to have just not good for forehand bc its too floppy.

Have only had this for a few weeks, but its a little too soft on the flight plate. Mine is a 177 proto. Great rhythm disc but flutters a little when I forehand it. Great for big forehand hyzers but I don't know if ill keep it around for too long. 400 series plastic.

My M3 is 176, Opaque White. Best feeling mid-range ever. In comparison to the Lat 64 Mace, this disc is a little slower, but it has little to no high speed turn, and consistent low-speed stability. When thrown on an anhyzer backhand release, this disc flattens out very quickly, goes forward, and then finishes left nicely. When thrown flat, it goes straight for half the distance and then finishes left. When thrown on a hyzer release, it holds that hyzer the whole flight. Sidearm flicks and upshots with the M3 are amazing. I actually chained out an ace on a sidearm shot with my M3 at the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships! Upshots are very easy to get close with this disc because its stable and the low speed turn is very gentle. This means that any player can trust this disc to finish on a hyzer, but know that it will sit softly. On a side note, I did hear from someone at the NCDGC that these Proto M3s are more stable than Prodigy expected. This means that when they come out with production runs, the M2 will actually be the Proto M3s.
