The Prodigy X3 is a consistent, very long flying, slightly overstable distance driver designed for all skill levels. The X3 is a great choice for any player looking to throw long, fast, and dependable drives. The X3 is slightly less stable than the X2, giving it a longer glide period in the middle of the flight path, and a softer left to right finish. The X3 matches the X1 and X2 in consistency but exceeds them in turn and glide.

I bought the X3 in the 400G plastic, a Catrina Allen series disc, from a local Disc Golf dealer. I saw advanced disc golfers bombing the X3 on YouTube videos and decided to get one myself. Suffice it to say, this is NOT a beginner-friendly disc. I have limited range, maybe 200 ft. on a good day. The X3 immediately pulls left on my backhand, regardless of angle of release, and gets less range than some of my midrange discs. Anhyzer shots does help range a little, but it's not long before the X3 is once again pulling hard left. Maybe I bought a defective one?

The only saving grace, is it's a surprisingly good roller.

The only reliable way I've been able to utilize the X3 in my limited skill is as a thumber. It flips upside down and glides quite a ways before falling vertical.

If quick video demonstrations are allowed to be posted on a future date, it would be easier to show than to describe.

The X3 is sadly nothing more than a utility disc for this beginner, usually when I want a uphill shot in a narrow corridor.

I am giving this disc not very beginner-friendly. Very good driver. The X3 is one of my straighter discs. I must say beginners won't mind it as it is a very slight overstable disc. One thing I must clarify. IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE SPORT, DON'T BUY ANY DISCS ABOVE SPEED 7! These are for people who have played about 1 year of disc golf and are confident in throwing such disc. It is such a misconception that the X3 and other distance drivers will make you throw further. This is partially correct, but not when you get the right speed. Anyway apart from that, this disc is a very GOOD DISC. Straight flyer which is like a SLOWER DESTROYER. It goes great in this plastic and I know that I will get a good long beat in. It is a little pop-top and has great glide to it. I use this disc for many of my drives of the tee and must say that I get the results that I want. Overall, the prodigy line-up, is very simple to understand, but this disc is just maybe a bit confusing. What does the X mean? Still I love it and find that the results it gives me is always good. Im trust this disc a lot as it is just so PERFECT in its flight and everything else. It is pushing to be a MUST BUY DISC. I am sure more pros are going to bag it. I give the X3 a 5 star as it is the disc which I would want to bag. Overall, a great disc and I recommend you to buy the X3.

Very straight for medium arms, and very flippy for long arms! Money run!

I bought a 168g so maybe that's what's off but this is a very understable disc. I thought I was getting a beat in destroyer, instead I got a beat in sidewinder.  The plastic feels great, disc feels great, just nothing like the numbers, but again it could be because it's a 168 but there's no way 7 grams is going to change it close to the numbers. This is probably great for people who throw under 300', could be that perfect driver for you. Over 300 it's a roller.

159g 400G plastic.  OK disc.  It seems to have a lot of fade if not thrown with enough speed (this is normal, but not true of every distance driver).  My 13-year-old daughter primarily uses this disc, but discovered that the Westside Sorcerer disc that we own works better for her.  My daughter, my son (10), and I all love that disc.  At this point, X3 only gets used for field/distance practice.  I don't find it to be very consistent.  I had high hopes for this disc, but I'm disappointed in it.  Maybe I simply need to improve my technique.  As of now, though, there are a long list of distance drivers that my family members and I choose over this disc (Innova Daedalus, Innova Mamba, Innova Tern, Innova Mystere, Innova Beast, Innova Wraith, Discmania TD, Gateway Apex, Westside Sorcerer, Prodigy D6, etc).

Love the feel of Prodigy 400G plastic! This disc has been added to my arsenal of stable discs that I like to use for straight shots that need a little control. I've gotten some great distance out of it and the glide is real! I'd say if you get enough power on it you can get some decent turn on it but for the most part it wants to stay flat and straight. I'd say in my experience the fade has been a little more aggressive than the numbers would suggest. Great disc and probably one of my most used stable drivers.

The X3 from Prodigy in the 400G plastic has a good tacky soft grip. The disc has a very shallow hand feel which can be good for smaller hands. IT reminds me of the Innova Tern in the hand even though the wing profile is different.

As for the flight path I would the one I received at 173 grams to be a little more understable than a -1. Its net flight path remains neutral however and at over 300 feet of power will hold the line given.

In summary if the D series discs feel too big for your hand I would give the X series a try.

My go-to disc on any non-narrow distance shot. I throw FH and get a lot of snap on this, so depending on release angle and wind, can get it to do a lot for me. The rim height is perfect for my grip (non-stacked), and I use a 172.

This disc seriously has glide for days. Great for forehand or backhand shots. Easy to get a little mid-flight turn and still get a solid finish. I carry a few at different stages of break-in.

Prodigy lucky number is 3 everything they make is great but the number3 is always the perfect number in disc.1and 2 are overstable pro like disc and 4 to6 is undertable and prefer for bigginers . The 3 is the number that works for everyone ,in my bag I have pa3 ,H3 and my main driver the x3 .the x3 is perfect for people with small hands but still will like to throw a fast driver give the x3 a chance.  The x3 allways gives me that S line fly that we all love to see out of your hand.
