This is a wonderful disc. Control your arm aired a little and it will do what ever you want. I can throw it flat at 60%, aim 100' out and 40' up  and It will fly straight maybe 100' then turn and hold turn straight and land gently. This makes throwing controlled turn shot a breeze. So much glide and is a little quicker than a 5 speed. I recommend this to any beginner because you'll get crazy good distance and straight flight. For advance players this will give you confidence in your turn over shots and make you feel a little like Barry Shultz or Michael Johansson with the most beautiful back hand turn over shots. As people have mentioned the RPM plastics are top notch!! Absolutely premium plastic. The atomic feels like old school star plastic and the cosmic feels like a way nicer/premium champ plastic. I have a Kea in the soft magma plastic and it is the best feeling vase plastic I have ever felt. Buttery and grippy at the same time. It is such a joy to throw. Seriously pick up some RPM discs to try. Can't go wrong. Not to mention the art work is phenomenal.

DO NOT THINK THIS DISC FLIES LIKE A MAKO3!!!

    Platinum Series - 180g

    My Distance - 350ft / 380ft

Now that statement lets talk about how AMAZING  this disc truly is. Id like to start off by saying that Drew Dukart wrote an amazing review. This disc is for sure more understable that a Mako3. I can throw the Piwa smooth at 60% power and it will give me a slow right turn. This disc disc is a lot more understable than my Mako3 that I bought at the same time (also 180g). This disc flies a lot like a slightly beat in Axiom Theory (which recently went OOP which is why i bought this). This disc can mash on a hyzer flip and will still get you some right turn still, when thrown with some power. The Piwa also flies very far and slightly fast for a midrange. Iv noticed myself getting very easy distance with this disc due some amazing glide. I ordered this disc to be a more understable Mako3 due to reading other reviews. This disc filled that spot beautifully.

The Plastic feels fantastic and feels a little like a mixture of Star and GStar plastic. Its nice and grippy, flexible, and offers pretty good durability. I did over throw a hole and land on a rough asphalt area and it did leave a chip. Its not the most durable plastic but your also not suppose to be nailing ragged asphalt. Iv hit some trees and other natural obsticles and no bad marks!

I recommend this disc to anyone who wants a nice understable mid. It hyzer flips great and is a disc that you can throw with tough and get some incredible flights out of. It will be dissapointing if your expecting a Mako3 flight. If you know what your getting its incredible. I will without a double be trying out more RPM plastic. (I wish they made a speed 11 driver)

Lots to talk about with this one! My review will be of the 179-gram platinum series. I will start with the look, then the feel, and finally the flight.

First of all, this disc is downright GORGEOUS. I haven't tried the platinum series yet, and boy was I missing out. The plastic is actually pretty similar to Innova's G-star plastic. It is very flexy and bendable. The name is hard to say to I nicknamed mine Neptune because it looks like the planet. It has this beautiful tree ring-like circle pattern on it. It's one of those discs that you have to see to know how truly pretty it is.

Every RPM disc is extremely unique. Every single one is a total mold breaker. No companies molds feel anything like these. The only disc I have felt that is similar is DGA's tremor. The disc has a slight dome and a small, somewhat shallow rim. this part is sort of hard to describe. Most mids have a very thick rim/edge, while the piwa has a thinner rim/edge. Fun fact: it is very hard to write your name on the rim because it changes slope halfway. It does feel very good in the hand, almost like a fairway driver.

Flight: I was expecting this to fly like my mako3, having very similar numbers. As the flight pattern shown by inbounds it is more understable than the numbers tell. I rate it at a 6 speed because it is pretty fast for a mid. Its sorta like one of those Discraft hybrid mid-ranges. It is also very glidey. The first time I threw it, I gave it probably about 50% and it just sailed forever. The turn and fade here are a little tricky. The turn is probably around -2.3 and the fade is somewhere around 1.3. It will turn over if you give it more than 50% (I throw around 430 at max to give you a range), but it won't turn and burn. It's really actually pretty interesting. A signature shot with it is a little hyzer and let it do that glidey turn that won't fade until almost the very end of its flight. Great for those tunnel shots that turn slightly right and you don't feel comfortable throwing forehand or a powerful backhand.

Overall: A great compliment to the Mako3. the mako will go straight forever, but will sometimes hyzer out if not given enough. The Piwa solves that problem. You can throw it and know it's not going to hyzer out (unless its a shank). Once again, RPM has delivered an amazing mold with beautiful artwork and flight. Beginners should most definitely get this disc. It is a perfect disc to get for a beginner. Its got all the right numbers. I would recommend this or a Mako3, or both because they are both fantastic. I've said it before and I'll say it again. RPM is one of the best companies out there. People just need to try one of their discs. I tried the Kea at first and it's still one of my favorite discs in my bag. Can't say enough great things about RPM and this disc so I might be needing a sponsorship soon because they are that quality.
