The Stabilizer is an overstable putter from Streamline Discs. The Stabilizer feels similar in the hand to a Pilot, but with a more pointed rim to add stability. This disc will fly straight with little turn, and finish with a strong fade.

To me, THIS is an overstable putter. THIS is what an Envy wants to be. Strong flight. Torque resistant. Right to left pushing fade, but still not dumpy.

To me, this is the perfect overstable approach disc. This disc fades incredibly hard once it starts to slow down, which is what I was looking for. Feels great in the hand, just a touch deeper than a zone which was more comfortable for my hands.

This disc is a perfect complement to the Axiom Envy. It's just a tad more stable and for me has maintained that stability as the disc has got some wear. I like to throw it BH flat rather than throw the Envy on a BH hyzer. I would love for Axiom to have a disc in the overmold style and it seems like the Tempo may end up being that but for now I will stick with the Stabilizer.

This disc has a stable, but reliable old school flight to it that is very forgiving. If you have grown up with an Ultimate Frisbee then you'll understand this next part.  The faster arm speed for disc golf can make touch shots and utility shots hard to sort out, but this disc will let you get a little air bounce, or a hard hook that dumps quickly, or a medium distance dog leg. You don't have to overthink it at all. Just do what feels natural and the disc will do its job. It is also great at keeping your alley tight by not wandering into a high speed turn if you put too much heat on it.  It'll take slower arm flex shots too. The more disc golf I play, the more I find myself grabbing for this disc.

Take a Pilot and give it more fade, and that's the Stabilizer. An awesome overstable putter that's comfortable in the hand and flies great off the tee. I wouldn't recommend it for forehand since it's not as torque resistant as something like an Entropy, Zone, A2, etc. But a great flying putter nonetheless!

Not quite torque resistant enough for a tight flex line, but a really good flat release flight!

This disc quickly became one of my favorite discs. Its over stability makes it extremely predictable and almost impossible to turn over. It is great for approaches and as someone that loves to forehand my approach shots I couldn't ask for anything better for those longer approaches.

I bought a couple of these earlier this year, and they have transformed into my favorite putt and approach discs. First off, I absolutely love Streamline's plastics. The neutral plastic gives me great grip, and I almost never feel it slip out of the hand on a putt. I have found that with my putting style and speed, I really need a putter that has a little fade.

What I use this disc for:

    • If I am going to run a 30-50 foot putt, this is my disc. The grip and consistency inspire confidence in me, and I know it gives me the best odds I have.
    • If you have a putter-driveable hole, the Stabilizer is a great option. It will hold a line, fade comfortably, and sit down.
    • Finally, I have really been starting to utilize this as a James Conrad Envy flex type shot. I have never had a putter that worked this well for flex shots.

Try it out. This is the highest putter recommendation I have!

I bought this disc to use for long approaches and off the tee.  I'm very surprised at the glide and distance this disc gets.  When I normally use a midrange on some holes that are 250-275, I have been able to park this disc and sometimes over throw the basket.  It is stable and dependable flight path make this a must disc to get and practice with so you can improve your mid approach game and off the tee on those shorter holes.  This disc is really dependable in the wind also.  The name "Stabilizer" is very fitting!

    Disc - 175 Neutron Stabilizer

Feel - I think that the feel of this disc is very important to its success. It definitely feels different than many other overstable P&A discs but is most comparable to a Harp in my opinion feel wise. It does not have a bead which is different from a Harp but it is of a similar depth to a Harp. In my opinion, this is my favorite overstable P&A disc for backhands, but I like others more for forehand.

Flight - The Stabilizer has a very similar flight to a Zone. It is more stable than a Harp in my opinion. This disc is great for forehand and backhand upshots and the wind does not effect it very much at all. I am a fan of this disc but it is not my favorite of the many options for this slot.

Overall - Good disc but I would say that there are other discs that fill this slot a little bit better.

I got this as a mystery disc. It didn't quite make the cut as my putting putter, but I like it as an approach disc. It's a little to overstable to me, but I like more neutral putters like the judge and pure. The plastic feels amazing though, and its a super durable disc. I've thrown some other streamlines friends had, I liked one, and didn't like the other. This is my favorite disc I have thrown made by streamline.

I've been looking for a more a overstable envy and this is it! It is slightly deeper than an envy but otherwise the discs look almost identical. It's slightly too deep for my forehand preference (similar to a harp, deeper than a zone) but it's the perfect backhand approach disc and windy day putter. I'll be buying many more in the future.
Surprisingly, this putts and feels similar to my Pilots which are my go to putters. It's slightly more overstable but not enough to notice in the circle. If streamline comes out with electron Stabilizers, it might kick out my pilots and envy's for good.

Love this for short FH upshots and on short spike hyzer. Not much of a putting putter but great for approach shots and from the tee.

Flat top with deep, yet comfortable rim. The plastic is also great. Grippy and just the right amount of flex.

I picked up a couple Stabilizers to try out.  I wanted to compare it to a Zone, Harp, and Envy.

Feel: The plastic is the best I have held/used. It really is incredible.  Grippy, but mostly firm, board flat top, smooth rounded shoulder, not too deep, not too thin, no bead.  Feels way more like a 'putter' than the zone and harp. It most reminded me of a prodigy 400 Pa1 but better plastic, better feel and more OS.    5/5 for the feels

Flight: Excellent.  First, it is different than all those other discs I tested it with.  It is glidier than the Zone and Harp, Slower than them as well, I would rate it 3/3.5/0/3 - It's OS for sure but not a glideless brick and works really well on power throws, windy throws, and takes angles well with a nice panning hyzer at the end.  It absolutely could be someones most OS short range disc - I do choose to carry a Zone with it as well for those lower line/skip shots and power throws with a sharper fade. 5/5 for the flight

Impressions: I was pleasantly surprised.  I have wanted a throwing putter that is a nice mold feel, good plastic, replaceable that I could work in to fit between a Zone and an Atom (or Envy)  The Stabilizer is more OS than an Envy FOR SURE.  I have one that has finally gotten work in and it still flies quite OS but you can certainly get distance with it, the disc does glide well, but OS just in that sweet spot to be easy to range.

If you want a nice OS throwing putter with excellent plastic, easily replacable and at a nice price point, you cannot go wrong with this one.   I reallllly like this disc and I honestly didn't think I'd bag it if I use Zones, harps, envy's atoms, all mixed up.  But I have my lineup now as Zone, Stabilizer, Atom, Proxy - and its a great 4 disc stability range for short range throws.

Meet the over-stabilizer. This is a pretty overstable approach/putt disc. I say approach first because that's primarily what I'll use it for. It goes a bit further than the Entropy for me, it's not quite as overstable, but close. The plastic and rim both feel really nice!

For putting, it's a bit overstale, too much for my putt, so I'll stick with it as a great approach disc!

The Stabilizer is a great putter. Stability-wise it sits in between the Entropy and the Envy. What sets it apart a bit is it's beveled bead which feels comfortable in the hand. It has a nice flat top and a little bit deeper rim than the Entropy or Envy, which makes it a little more glidey. Though it's stable and finishes left, I did get it to turn and finish with a small fade in a headwind.

If you want something overstable, but not as overstable as an Entropy, or want your Entropy to glide farther, get the Stabilizer.
