The Ozone is an understable, flippy fairway driver by Trash Panda, made in their usual recycled plastic. It is a great disc choice for players who have slower arm speeds or who like reaching respectable distances without a lot of power.

The Ozone was a disc I tried purely out of curiosity as I follow Trash Panda and love what they're doing for the sport. Based on the flight numbers, I wasn't sure what to expect since a lot of discs with similar numbers fly very differently from each other. For my arm speed (~330-350ft RHBH with 8-9 speed discs), the Ozone doesn't fly as understable as the numbers and is a very workable disc. Of similar discs I've tried, I would say it flies most similarly to a Neo Essence but it's also similar to my friend's Doomsday Discs Blackout. The Ozone is less sensitive/touchy than some other understable fairways I've tried which is a big reason it went straight into my bag. It's a disc that can find a use for a wide variety of players and I use it for hyzer-flip to straight shots, turnovers that hold but don't burn over, and the first non-Rollo disc I've had some success with rolling as I'm learning that shot. The Ozone plastic blend was updated in 2024 to have some additional flex and grip which I prefer to the original stiffer plastic but both blends fly great!

This disc is so overstable for me. Not sure if it is just a bad run ( picked it up when they first released) or something but it never turns right at all and then almost immediatly starts to head left. I dont have the fastetest arm speed but I can get great shot shapes out of discs with similar flight numbers.

I have been looking for this stability and speed for a while and it just so happens to be from a great company. At my elevation, 6000', it is hard to find a fairway driver that will turn most it's flight when thrown flat but almost always fades back. The ozone does it right out of the box, but not so much so that I think it will beat in too fast. Incredible glide.

Great disc. I've gotten some of the most unbelievable throws, hitting crazy lines when using this disc.

I am very impressed with this disc. Normally, I feel like finding an understable disc out of the box is hard, even when flight numbers claim that a disc is understable. This disc is very flippy out of the box and it makes for throwing some awesome hyzer flips as well as big turnovers. I usually have a harder time throwing turnover shots but this disc has made it a lot easier and a lot more fun.

The plastic is similar to Trash Panda's other premium plastic: slick but sturdy. I found this plastic to be much stiffer than others. It definitely holds up well to damage like tree kicks and getting thrown into the ground. I have found, however, with my smaller hand size and the stiffness of the plastic, that the rim of the disc is decently uncomfortable on forehand throws, so I have tended to shy away from them. This discomfort is not present with backhand throws.

I throw this disc mainly backhand even though I am a mainly forehand player. It is very easy to throw turnover shots and hyzer flips with. The Ozone, even with my slower arm, can get burned over into the ground if not given enough hyzer or height. However, when I do give it height, it eventually does start to come out of the turnover shot.

Despite the discomfort I have when I throw this disc on forehand, I have even been able to throw this disc with a forehand grip on big panning turnovers, and it's a lot of fun.

Overall, this disc is a lot of fun. Their marketing to "throw the fun line" is very valid, as this disc is able to do some really fun things on both forehand and backhand. I would recommend this disc to anyone, especially beginners, as it's very easy to use and can teach you how to utilize different shots. The only reason it gets a 4.5 star rating for me is due to the discomfort it causes me on forehand grips which, again, is not present on the backhand throw. Definitely worth the purchase!
