The Sole is the newest Vibram putter available in X-Link rubbers. Unlike the other Vibram putters with flat tops, the sole has a more traditional domed top. While Vibram’s other putters are known for their driving abilities, the Sole is the putting putter, and the one you’re going to want for short throws into the chains. For longer approach shots, the Sole is slightly overstable and isn’t going to turn. It’s a straight flyer with a consistent end of flight fade. Like all Vibram discs, durability is the Sole’s big advantage. The X-Link compound has an unmatched life span in terms of disc quality. These discs handle intense beatings and still maintain their flight paths. The Vibram Sole is available in weights from 150-175 grams.

I have one left on max weight. Gorgeous coloring. Since it is now defunct I just keep one in my bag. My favorite "aviar" out there. I replaced them with Wizards. So far it's a very similar experience. So if you are looking for a replacement sole, try one of the flexible blends of a wizard. I will miss this disc most of all. At least I can still toss one (although I only throw it in the circle and only if I am playing competitively.) Maybe one day I will love the wizards the same way.

Best throwing putter I've ever used. I love my wizards, darts, and shields, but this thing throws and feels like a mid-range. I can get the Sole 300-320 feet and to stop on a dime. I really use it as a putter/midrange off the tee, and for field shots. Handles wind well. This may be due to the firm rubber vs the medium rubber. If I can reach it with a Sole, I'm throwing a Sole. Takes a lot of tree hits to alter the flight path even a little. Holds up great. I own two and use them all the time. Get a Firm Sole. I think it has a glide of around 4 and a speed of 3. Turn and fade are accurate.

I don't use this disc much for putting, unless there is some wind or moisture invovled (then it's got more stability and better grip than my DX Aviars). The plastic really lasts, so if you have to force yourself out of the bushes or trees, with this disc, you dont have to worry about shooting the wood.
