    Ground Plastic Details

Viking Ground plastic has been designed to offer excellent grip in hot, cold, and even rainy weather conditions. This plastic grade is flexible and sticky compared with the other Viking plastic blends. Discs in ground plastic seem to have more glide and quickly break in to give you a straighter flight over time.

171g Ground plastic.  Very good disc.  This disc is more forgiving to varying release speeds than some other distance drivers.  It could even be used as an overstable control driver if you don't have a fast release or you just dial it down a little.  Ragnarok is very consistent and predictable.  It is a very good disc!  Viking plastics are better than average.  Their base ("ground") plastic is comparable to Dynamic Disc's Prime plastic as one of the better base plastics.  Their armor plastic seems to be indestructible.  I highly recommend Viking discs.

This is my ABSOLUTE favorite disc! It has become my go-to driver, especially for forehand. The flat top feels great in a forehand grip. That being said, it also is responsible for my longest ever drive, which was a backhand! The Ground plastic also is incredible. It is grippy enough to where it won't slip out of your hand, but is also sturdy enough to take a hit and not dent or bend at all. I love this disc.

I threw around the Ragnarok in Storm plastic, which is quite a bit like Champion, or Elite Z, though a bit more flexible (maybe more like Z FLX). I loved this disc. It felt a lot like the Streamline Trace, which I'd just thrown for a round a couple of weeks earlier. I felt like I could throw the Ragnarok very straight, and the fade was not overly pronounced. The disc is a speed 11, so I didn't have to put full power into my throw to get maximum performance. In fact, I could out-throw the Thunder God Thor disc by Viking with the slower Ragnarok. Dialing down the speed in this case really seemed to help.

I would recommend the Ragnarok for players who have got their basics under control and want a really good distance driver to stretch their flight and build their power up from fairway drivers. It could work well for beginners who have that basic technique, or for intermediate players who want a really solid, controllable driver.
