Love this disk. Great for approaches, get out of trouble situations. I'm a noodle-arm, so this is my overstable putter, approach disc, and I throw it in a lot of mid-range situations too.  It will go straight for quite a distance on a hard throw, and then hook up and fade. It doesn't skip much, but if you throw it on a steep angle, it does have a tendency to catch edge and roll. It sits pretty well, but I do wish they made it in a softer plastic so it wouldn't roll as far.

This is my absolute favorite approach disc and one of my favorites that I bag. Reliably overstable and torque resistant, but workable at different release angles. I have numerous throw in from 100-200 feet with my Hammer. The Tiger plastic has great grip and hand feel and is surprisingly resilient for baseline plastic. Unique narrow profile makes it very comfortable in my hand and easier for me to throw for longer approaches than my other throwing putters. I actually just hit an ace with my Hammer which prompted this review as I am buying a backup and one for a tournament prize.Highly recommend you pick one up!

I have discs in nearly all the Yikun molds (although they just released some new ones) and recently picked this up on a good sale -- and it performs wonderfully. It's in Tiger line plastic, though, and I just wish it was in a higher grade so it will maintain its characteristics better, longer. As for the flight numbers, they seem reasonably accurate, except I'd give it a slightly higher glide, and drop the fade to a 2: I field tested it both into and with the wind along with other putters, including some of it's siblings the Xing, Yi, and Fu Sang. Using the 0 Turn/Fade of the straight-flying Yi as a baseline, I found that neither the Hammer nor the 3-Fade Fu Sang manifested much more stability than the 1-Fade Xing. It flies straighter longer than I expected for a 3-Fade disc (especially compared to several others discs that have that same fade rating), but did still give a reliable fade at the end. This is the first disc I've had with the double thumb track on top, and I really like how that feels. The Tiger plastic also has good grippiness, though in my experience with other discs, it does get rather easily beat up. I'd like to try this same mold in a more premium plastic.

Excellent driving putter! Thinner profile, overstable, thumbtrack, and a nice grippy plastic make me in love. For shorter baskets I always like pulling this out and giving it a huge hyzer flip to flat with a solid finish. Also makes a whistling sound when thrown hard. It's the little things. Also, can't beat the price on these.

I love this approach disc. The thumb track and shallow rim make for an incredibly comfortable forehand disc. This disc is very straight at high speed and really only fades heavily at low speed. This disc is not super glide-y but will drop out of the sky at super low speed. This disc will fight out of any anhyzer angle given a little room. This disc Is very comparable to a Pig, but with a bit more glide and a very different hand feel.

I bought this disc to try out because I'm a huge fan of discs with thumb tracks. I first off noticed the cheap price and was excited but skeptical. I have fallen in love with this disc since my first throw. For my hands it feels amazing. Absolutely love the double thumb track on this disc. I now own five of these and it is my go to for approach shots. This disc is a little less stable than the pig, slammer, and caltrop. It holds a slight hyzer no matter how windy it gets out on the course. Due to the low cost I'm not afraid to run every basket. If you like thumb track discs definitely give this a go.

    Plastic: Tiger Line

    Weight: 173g

Feel: The Hammer is very shallow and has two raised thumb tracks on the flight plate (obviously).  This, to me, makes this disc incredible comfortable and consistent to hold and throw forehand and backhand.

Flight: When new, the Hammer has very little turn even at full power and reliably finishes to the left (RHBH).  As it beats in, it gets more flip to it and less fade (again, obviously).  This allows me to hit lines on hyzer and have the disc flip up through.  The beat-in Hammer also lets me cheat a little, I hate throwing backhand upshots, so I can throw this FH flat and let the natural turn move the disc to the left.

Conclusion: The Hammer has become my go-to approach disc for almost anything within 200ft, and is used off the tee whenever I need a shot to be relatively straight with a finish before 300ft.

Side note: The only downside to this disc, is that it is only available in their base plastic.  I have contacted them about this and they said that any attempts to mold this in their premium plastic leads to an unwanted significant dome.  Hopefully, they work this out because a premium plastic Hammer would be money.

This disc immediately became my favorite approach putters. The angle of the rim makes it super comfortable in the hand, especially for a forehand approach shot. The thumb track is small and is nice but certainly not super noticeable. Additionally the thumb track can easily be avoided if it doesn't suit your fancy. Pretty overstable and very easy to predict. The disc has a nice amount of glide and sits quickly after landing. This disc is very similar to a Innova Pig but I think its more comfortable in the hand.

I use this disc for every upshot that requires a flick. The track along the edge gives me confidence in my grip and release point. Would highly recommend!

Very grippy and medium softness. The $8 price tag is pretty sweet as well so its cheap to stock up.

I received this putter as part of the VIP club subscription, and at first I wasn't all that impressed. The disc has a groove on top of it similar to a discraft banger gt, a disc I had tried putting with and absolutely hated. The plastic, however, is absolutely perfect for a putter. Soft, grippy, and should wear fairly quickly like most base plastics but not in large chunks of damage like I've seen done to D-line and DX discs.

I would not recommend this for anyone who tries to push putt as it is very overstable and will fade out on you if given even a little air. What this disc is amazing at is parking 150-225 feet approach shots and drives through narrow forehand and backhand hyzer lines. The disc does not like to skip and sits well as long as you do not get it on edge on a slope where the weighty (for a putter) outer rim can cause some rollaways. Overall I am very impressed with this disc and will order more once mine is beaten up too much or lost.

I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised with the hammer. The Tiger plastic, while it feels similar to Innova's DX plastic, is also quite grippy which is nice. This discs flight is comparable to the innova pig. It's quite over stable but manageable. The disc is great for forehand approach shots and will find a place in your bag. Overall a solid disc, the flight numbers also seem pretty accurate.

    169g / Tiger Line / White

I have to admit this putter has been an amazing surprise for me. When I got this disc it was only due to the price being so low. For the price I don't believe anyone can go wrong. The plastic feels fantastic for a throwing putter. It is pretty stiff while having a slightly chalky feel which gives it fantastic grip. Iv used this disc for around a month to get a good feel for this disc. My first round with it was in constant rain and I knew then this disc was a keeper

Rainy weather - This is a uncommon review topic for me since I never play in the rain. However, this disc had the rare opportunity. The Hammer is perfect for wet conditions. The grippy plastic and the double thumb grove really help keep a solid grip on the disc. If you are  a player who doesn't mind rain or knows you can't choose the weather for tournaments, then this is the perfect overstable disc for you.

Flight - The flightof this disc for me has been very consistent. First and for most I must stress that mine is 169g so it could be a little more stable in heavier weights. Mine flew a pretty comparable to a Axiom Envy. It has plenty of stability but I wont say it has a fade of a 3. I give it flight numbers of 2-3-0-2 but again only 169g. I trust this disc in wind and i can trust it to finish left late in flight. I think the thumb groove helps get a little more snap on the disc. This disc does a pretty good job getting solid distance. If your looking for a solid overstable but not dumping overstable putter then try the Hammer.

The Hammer feels great and flies great. Get one before the price goes up!!!

I enjoyed playing a 9-hole round with the Hammer. The plastic feels good with more of a "mid-grade" feel than some of the older Yikun Tiger Line runs. By that, I mean it felt grippy, but a bit more firm. This disc is particularly unique because of the thumb-track design on the top of the plate. The top of the disc is perfectly flat and feel great for backhand or forehand. It will behave quite a bit like a Zone or a Harp, or an Innova Pig-- perfect for approach shots where you want a more overstable finish. The thing that will make or break the Hammer for you is that thumbtrack-- if you like feeling that groove and like how it gives you extra grip and control, then you'll LOVE the hammer. But if that groove bothers you, then you'd probably prefer a Discraft Zone.

I wouldn't call the Hammer a putting putter. But it works great as a thrower for short-range precision. It doesn't have a lot of glide, so it doesn't carry too far along it's flight path before settling to the ground, which is great for shorter fairways or wooded courses where that extra glide can sometimes cause trouble. It fills a nice notch in the bag. Yikun just keeps getting better as they continue to refine their plastics and molds.

This is a disc that I sort of just thew in the cart since it has been on site with no stock for so long, and the numbers/flight plate look interesting, and the price was so darn good.

I was immediatly impressed, the plastic is gritty and grippy and feels really good to me. It's shallow and feels really nice in a FH or BH grip, for approaches up to 250 I was able to place it really easily and it penetrates with really nice high speed stability, but not a ton of fade for me. Hits and sticks like a champ, and though I've not tried to putt with it, the feel is so nice I wonder if it could be a good small bag do it all putter that you would putt and approach with. I travel with a 5 disc travel bag a lot and it would allow me to bring along another more specialized disc or a high speed driver.

This is really a disc that anyone who likes beadless shallow discs would like.

I was pleasantly surprised for the price! Similar to a rhyno with the thumb track but even more low profile and more stable. Makes it a nice upshot disc for BH or FH if you enjoy a thumb track. Otherwise I would go for a Zone for a stable jack of all trades approach disc. For the price the Tiger plastic feels better than your standard base plastic - super firm but nice and grippy like KC or XT. If you’re looking for a fresh approach disc that’s nice and stable and feels great BH and FH, give this one a shot! The price is right!
