The Jiao is an understable fairway driver, designed with the beginning disc golf player in mind, as well as being perfect for any thrower with lower arm speed.  This is one of, if not the most understable PDGA driver on the market. The Jiao can achieve peak distance with less effort and is also a great place to start for young players. This driver is designed to provide more distance for disc golfers throwing less than 250 feet. The Jiao will provide disc golf flight with a throw style used for Ultimate Frisbee.

More experienced players can use the Jiao for easy rollers or low-power hyzer-flip shots and quick turning anhyzer throws. If you're looking for a great first driver for your first ever round of disc golf, this is it.

This is the latest addition to my Yikun set, and like most of my non-putters, is in Phoenix plastic. I haven't bagged a 6-speed in years so I'm not really used to using them, honestly, but I field tested it with a couple similar understable 7-speeds and an 8-speed (including its siblings the View and the Gou) and found it's probably more like a -2.5 to -3 turn compared to the others. Some of that is probably the fact that it's a notch or two slower than the others I'm more used to, so the same power on a throw makes it appear less stable. Into the wind, it tended to become a roller even on a hyzer release unless I increased the hyzer angle more and/or dropped the power of the throw. If I got the right balance, it would give a good long, glidy flight. This was much easier with a tailwind, though it still benefited from some hyzer angle on the release. I also don't know that it manifested a fade any stronger than these other discs, so I've rated it a 1 to match. I think for beginners the Jiao will work very well -- like Yikun's version of the Leopard, which is a common starter set choice and worked well for me and my family when we first started out in 2018. I really like the Phoenix plastic for its feel, release, and durability: One of the reasons I haven't used 6-speeds for so long is that the DX Leopards we had became so beat up and way understable, they became pretty much unusable. Hopefully having an equivalent in this higher-grade plastic will make this a viable speed slot in my bag again.

I absolutely loooove this disc in Phoenix plastic. The Jiao is one of my 2 reliable rollers (the other is the Gou in Phoenix plastic). When not throwing as a roller, it flips up easily on a slight hyzer and has a short and sweet S flight. Highly recommend this bad boy!
