Great feeling, great flying disc.  I'd say the speed is a little lower and there's a tiny bit of turn, but it is NOT flippy if you throw it right.  Neither is it super overstable; it's a straight flyer with gentle, predictable fade at the end.  Tortoise plastic is holding up very well so far and the Yikun overmold feels great in the hand.  Different from MVP stuff and the Innova Atlas/Avatar.  Two different plastics give it great grip.

No reason to trash this disc, it does its jobs very well:  straight, controlled fairway shots, non-meat hook hyzer lines, gentle annie lines that flatten right at the ground.  Things it CAN'T do:  big annie S-curves, fight wind with stability, fight out of super overpowered yank-jobs, beat your big arm Destroyers/Ballistas in a distance contest.  And that's fine, no disc is supposed to do every job.  Keep this in mind and snag one, it's a fantastic disc for the price.

Got this from the mystery disc upgrade at checkout (I love me a safe gamble).

A really pretty disc out of the box (mine was the default Tortoise Line  in white and gold), it looked like a shield and was so pristine that I almost didn't have the heart to throw it, but I didn't pay $12 for a circular mantelpiece. The way the rim is attached to the center isn't the prettiest nor the cleanest (honestly feels very cheap) and there seems to be an air bubble defect on the dome, but I do not think those flaws affect the flight significantly.

Speaking of which, my first throw with this disc saw it flipping instantly to the left. I did not quite understand overstable and understable and such whatnots back then, so I hyzered it at steep angles, hoping for it to auto-correct itself, only to see it corkscrew rather depressingly to the ground. Either my throwing has improved, or beating in the disc makes its less overstable, but my Twin Swords flies much straighter and ends with a more predictable curve now. With a dense, stiff rim and a soft, grippy dome, the disc is pretty satisfying to hold and to throw. My arm can't get it to go far yet, but I'm enjoying hurling it and seeing it in the air.

Learning to throw the Twin Swords as a newbie was not easy. I won't be buying one myself, but getting it as a surprise was pretty fun.

The Twin Swords shows -1 Turn, but the manufacturers numbers on the webpage show 0 Turn, and between the two, I'd go with the 0: Testing this with similar discs (including the 12/5/0/2 Valhalla in Storm plastic), I found that for my arm speed at least, it didn't exhibit any turn like my Pro Destroyer does, and it consistently started fading out before the Valhalla did. (The latter disc is pretty new and hasn't been used too much, though maybe it's been used just enough now in benchmarking other discs that its 2 Fade is a little less than before?) I have most of the various Yikun discs, but this is my first disc with this type of overmold (quite unique compared to MVP/Axiom overmolds). I'll echo Moose's apt description below: The "rim feels a bit like g Star and the core is like a very stiff XT or even slick Star feeling." The overmold plastic provides good grip, but with the smooth underside of the rim, it still enables a clean release. Hopefully it will prove to have good durability over time as well. It's a fun disc to have for its uniqueness and flies just fine, though I'm not sure it will stay in my bag much as I have other discs already that do about the same thing but net me better distance.

Solid control driver very true to its flight numbers. When compared to a halo wraith it flew nearly identical. It was marginally straighter and slightly farther flying. In the field today I was able to push about 435 with the wraith and twin swords on a flat release with a bit of turn and slightly more fade than it turned. They were simply too overstable to push into the 450's unless I threw anny. Think of a thunderbird that's starting to flip but will always flatten out and pull back left every time. Or if you took the edge and bite off a destroyer. Considering making the twin swords a go-to point and shoot driver that pushes towards the target for about 90% of its flight. Currently throwing in the 65mph range for reference if you use tech disc or pocket radar.

    Good grip and smooth release

175g RHBH,  straight fast and easy to control,  the inside lip is the white plastic.  i like that because it does not stick to my fingers and cause hard pull to the right.   so one of my favorite 2 plastic discs.  does not seem as fast as 12 because it has good control at lower speeds.  i have not tried to rip it hard or into a wind, because that is what +4 is made for.

As a beginner I love this distance driver. Even at 12 speed and my poor technique it flies straight with a reliable fade at the end. It handles a good hyzer turns both backhand and forehand to get me around obstacles.  The Tortoise shell is really cool and feels great in the hand and while throwing. I've hit my share of trees with it so its starting to become more flippy.

I can't help but wonder if this mold has gotten a bit of retooling over the last few runs. Mine is not understable, but at power will turn a bit and then slowly fade back on a forward penetrating line.

The glide is not incredible but is still enough to net good distance. I was able to get it out to 350-400 depending on the line. The spike hyzer did well, but a flat shot with a bit of turn and late fade is the most successful for distance.

the fee is nice and the rim feels a bit like g Star and the core is like a very stiff XT or even slick Star feeing plastic.

This disc feels great in the hand. when thrown with good power (350-400 for me) it is extremely straight with a consistent finish. I would say it flies similar to wraith because of the distance it can travel before it starts to dump out of the air with a pretty consistent skip

Solid disc.  Pleasantly surprised.  Somewhere between a shryke and a sheriff.  Flies straight with predictable fade.

Very straight flying driver. Forgiving to put some extra power behind it. That being said. It is not a disc you can flex around a corner or "Get Freaky" with.

This disc is very appealing at first glance. I am a RHBH thrower who consistently throws 450ft at altitude. This disc dumped to the right and hit my first black ace on its first flight. Going on the wall for a good laugh.

I was pleasantly surprised when I took the Tourtise Line Twin Swords disc for a test drive. Having been limited in the amount I've been playing this year, I'm still trying to get my form back. I thought throwing a max weight disc with no turn would not end up well. But, to my surprise the Twin Swords gave me a nice flight. It went straight for about 90% of it's flight, then dumped hard at the end. I didn't get the distance I got throwing my lighter drivers, about 300 feet right now, but I came close. I suspect a lighter Twin Swords would serve me well as a distance driver. Reading some of the other reviews leads me to believe that a real strong headwind might be too much for the disc. But, based on how it flew in calm conditions, it would have to be a pretty windy day. I also think the disc would tank in a tailwind, being too overstable for my arm. For me, the flight rating is spot on.

The disc feels good in my hand. Discs in that speed usually do. The overmold feels fine. I like the red/white colors of the disc I threw. I really like the looks of the full color Twin Swords.

The twin swords has earned a place in my bag, right off the bat it has added extra distance to my throws. It definitely feels  like the numbers are closer to  11/5/1.5/2. When thrown flat with power i typically get a good flex shot with minimal fade usually landing to the right of my target when thrown RHBH, I have turned this driver over a few times.

If put on a hyzer though the disc flips up beautifully and maintains a straight flight until the very end , where it slightly fades.

Pros: aesthetically pleasing, great for flip up hyzer straight throws. Extra distance and great glide.

Cons: May be flippy for power throwers. Does not follow the numbers listed

Executive Summary: With a half-degree more turn that the zero turn rating would suggest (12-5-0-2 printed on the disc, I think the turn is -0.5) the other numbers stand accurate, and this is a good-looking, long distance bomber that my noodle arm was driving 300-340 with.

Pros: Aesthetics, which is obviously personal, and II'll be the first to admit I am a sucker for the two-tone overmold look. I like the width of the rim, and the nice tacky grip of the overmold, which is different from the harder flightplate. Felt good in the hand and held a true straight line with minimal turn to the right, before a reliable fade that you'd expect from a fade rating of 2.

Cons: Underneath there are some small circles where the overmold on mine "poked" out a little as part of the manufacturing process. My protrusions weren't cleaned up well after assembly and protruded slightly. I cleaned/smoothed them with nail clippers so I wouldn't get cut releasing a throw. Easy fix. Would like more of the grippy overmold (which I like a lot) on the underside too for better overall grip.

Aside from my suspicions about the quality control, the disc itself was fun to throw and I look forward to the snobs laughing at my off brand disc just before I park it, and then they'll ask me where I bought it. I bought the disc just for fun, and that's exactly what I'll have with it. It's definitely a high speed disc, not overstable as my Destroyer, more like my beat in Photon, or my old TeeDevil before it got crazy flippy.

The Twin Swords is a new and very interesting disc! The double overmold is an interesting feature, but I think it's the reason everyone wants to try this disc. The overmold rim almost feels like a rubber compound instead of plastic, but I don't know for sure what it is. In the heat of outside it definitely has a more rubbery/tacky feeling than the actual flight plate of the disc.

The seam on the overmold isn't very noticable, you can tell by slight line grooves but nothing else, it was built to be smooth. The flight ratings are pretty accurate for a driver like this, it definitely bombs. It'll turn over if you huck it hard enough, so it's one of those discs for great distance with big turnover shots. It usually came back for me at the end (unless I hooked it real bad). Definitely a bomber disc from Yikun!

The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because a few times when I threw it I felt a little rub on my thumb, like a rubber burn or something. I don't know if the overmold was causing that or not, but it seems to rub off the hand a little hard sometimes. Maybe I'm just crazy... but flight-wise, it's awesome!

I really enjoyed throwing the Twin Swords. I used it on a round of disc golf as my primary distance driver. I think it handles power quite well. I'm not the most powerful thrower (around 300-350 feet on longer drivers) but I liked how I could release it with a little anhyzer and it still faded back at the end after holding the line for quite a while.

I think a lot of people are going to jump on this disc originally for the appearance with the cool "shell" overmold design-- face it, the Twin Swords just looks awesome. But once you throw it, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised, like I was. My buddy was throwing it more in the 200-250 foot range and was placing it with great accuracy. He had to account for an earlier fade at that slower speed, but it was very consistent.

Thus, I think that this disc can fly predictably at both lower and higher speeds. It wouldn't be the first choice for a beginner because of the wider rim, but it isn't a massively overstable or hard-to-throw disc, so if you want to test out your "speed 12" chops, it is a fun disc to throw.
