Love this disc because it holds the exact line that you put it on. It has a deeper rim than the envy. It feels like the pixel in the hand.

I throw the proxy as a understable driving putter  with the same hand feel as the envy. This disc will flip up to flat from hyzer release and hold a very slow slight R hand fade with a 100% power release and go 260-300'. (RHBH player 4,500 elevation)

Fantastic understable to straight throwing putter! Don't use it to putt with, just throw.

I swap back and fourth between this and my Ion for my straight throwing putter, depending on what kind of course I'm playing. If I need more touch and straight to slightly understable putter drives, I go with the Proxy. If I'm looking for more distance and playing a more open course where wind can be a factor, I go with the Ion.

LOVE how thin the depth of this disc is. I love all my discs to be thin to medium depth, and this one is perfect. Also love the shape of the disc and the way it fits in my hand. And you can NEVER say enough good things about HOW durable and amazing MVP/Axiom/Streamline plastic and craftsmanship is! They're the BEST in the business. It's so smooth and yet has good grip. It just slides out of your hand so clean.

I'd say the #'s on this are 3/4/-.5/.5. So it basically ends up being dead straight. Or when thrown a bit harder or flatter, it ends up slightly right of center. But I wouldn't say it turns or is a turnover disc. It has the awesome very unique sneaky little leaking right flight path, that is so hard to throw with any other disc. And it just does it on it's own! It's SO money for tight wood holes or when you need a shot that needs to go straight to just a touch right.

It obviously doesn't fight wind very much, but that's not what this disc is for, so I can't really say it's a weakness, as it's not meant for that. It really shines on a tight wooded course where accuracy and the ability to throw a dead straight or slightly right shot is key. I've thrown some amazing shots with this disc on wooded holes that I would NEVER be able to do with any other disc or putter. But, I don't use it a lot, nor keep it in my bag a lot, since I don't normally play super tight wooded courses that often. But when I do, this baby goes in right away and is used often, since it's so unique and easy to use. Also, when I've thrown it a bit harder, it doesn't want to turn over either. It just goes a touch more right then straight and stays there. So if thrown at 50-75%, it flies just about dead straight and lands dead straight. If thrown about 75-100% power, it has this slight leak to the right, and just ever so slightly keeps moving right by inches until it lands with no fade or turn. It's such a unique flight path that no other disc in my bag can do. And it's not hard to get the flight, it just does it on it's own, and you don't have to worry about it turning over. And it has sneaky long distance. I can almost get as much distance from this as my Mids sometimes!

Fantastic throwing putter and can even be used on FH's as well! The Neutron plastic and rim are so stable, that it's hard to torque this thing so much, that you get a bad flight on a FH. I've used it for some delicate little flick shots from off the fairway or touchy shorter drives that require a FH shot. Highly recommend this disc!

Was putting with a Aero for 17+ years. My buddy let me borrow his Proxy one day and just fell in love. Felt perfect in my hands. I like the thinner profile of the Proxy. Just enough glide to hold my sometimes floppy push putts. Also holds the putt lines very well and doesn't fade out too early for me.

The biggest thing for me was controlling the glide and being able to putt in some wind. My old Areo would get tossed around a lot in the wind - the Proxy has minimized that since bagging it. Also I am a lot less likely to have a long return putt after missing with Proxy vs other putters. Doesn't drop out of the sky like a Burg but also tends to stick close to the pin.

Some of the best feeling plastics too. I have a couple Electrons and a few Neutrons. First disc I bought multiple to practice putting with too - loved it that much..

Have not tried driving with it yet, but I am not usually one to drive with a putter.

The neutron proxy is the best throwing putter I've found to date. This disc will fly dead straight out of the box with very little fade when thrown flat. When thrown with anhyzer the disc holds the line and flattens out gently at the end of the flight for a soft and secure landing. The proxy handles power extremely well and does not turn over when thrown far. Perfect for pinpoint accuracy in the field or tight lines in the woods.

Flies on whatever line you put it on. Fairly shallow with a flat top, makes an excellent complement to the Envy as they feel similar in the hand. Thorwn on a hyzer or an anny it will not fight out of either and hold the line for the whole flight. Thrown flat it will wiggle a tad to the right and then have a small fade at the end. One of the best point-and-shoot approach discs on the market.

The Proxy is a straight flying, overmold putter from Axiom Discs. The Proxy has a great feel in hand, with a nice flat top that makes it easy to get clean releases. I wasn't a huge fan of the Proxy for actual putting duties, something about overmolds just don't feel right for putting for me, but it really is a great throwing putter. This thing can really be put on any line, and was really great for touch upshots. It held up to some power and wasn't overly affected by reasonable amounts of wind.

This might be my favorite disc and I would highly recommend it to anybody who only has an Aviar in their bag.  I hated driving with my Aviar (rim too deep to comfortably power-grip), and hated approaching with my Aviar (too stable for my throwing style).  The Proxy is an answer to both of these; basically anything 125-250ft and I'm throwing the Proxy.  My first round with it I was nailing all my approaches, it was like night and day versus the Aviar for me.  Flight numbers are close, it felt more glide-y than other putters with glide 3, so I'm putting it at glide 4.

If you're looking for a putter that you need to throw dead straight this is it. If you put a little bit of hyzer on this thing it will flip go absolutely dead straight and fall down where you threw it. Mine is a 174 gram with a pink rim and orange flight plate (looks sick) and I really enjoy the different color combinations axiom provides would highly recommend for anyone and everyone just can't wait until they release it in the electron plastic so I can beat one up for some turnonvers!

This disc has a great thinner-than-normal profile.  But not too thin.  Perfect for medium to smaller hands or possibly kids.

This disc is simple: it will do whatever you tell it to. Hyzer it- it holds the hyzer. Throw it flat, it stays flat. Anny it-it holds the anhyzer.  Great for approach shots too.  Just a fantastic disc that anyone can throw.

This is the straightest putter you will every throw. I'll throw this to 300' with a slight hyzer of the tee and watch it flip up and ride straight the whole way. It's as if past 100' throws it forgets what fade is and finishes perfectly straight. It will also do smooth turning putter throws flat. Great Disc get one if you'd like a putter that will do what ever you tell it and hold that line until end of flight.

Fantastic driving putter, great counterpart to the Envy for carrying those anhyzer lines or long straight fading putter bombs.  Would be putting with it as well if it was available in a softer plastic.

One of the best putters on the market in my opinion.  I am an intermediate player who has tried a handful of putters and this putter is my favorite.  I own two Neutron Proxy's (one 167g and the other 168g). I prefer a putter with more shallow rim as I tend to grip lock deeper rim putters on occasion.  For me, when thrown properly I can get this putter out to about 250-260' on a good throw.  My main putter is pretty beat in with nicks on the sides of the rim and a well faded stamp. Still, when thrown the distance listed in the flight chart my putter barely turns.  Additionally, when thrown out to this distance it also barely fades.  If I throw it 6' or so off the ground out to about 250' it might fade a couple feet to the left which is almost dead straight.  Add some height to it for a little fade.  It also putts very well too.

This disc is extremely neutral.  I hit 4 aces last year with this disc and came close a number of other times. I highly recommend this disc for anyone.  The Axiom Envy is the perfect complement to this disc which is a very straight flying disc with a predictable fade at the end of the flight. The physical disc is also very similar to the Proxy which makes changing between the Proxy and Envy very easy.

I have been looking for solid driving putters for some time.  I did a full review on the Envy.  The Proxy is the slightly understable compliment to the Envy.  Same concept, Feels like a putter, flies like a midrange, has great control, good glide, comfortable grip.

Flight #'s I give it 3.5/3.5/-0.75/0.5 - or simplify it as 4/4/-1/1 if that helps

Its not a super flippy disc and can be thrown quite straight.  When powered hard it will flip and ride, if thrown flat it will have more turn.  But when given a hyzer it can be placed on a very straight line.  If it has the hang-time (and didn't hit a tree) it will usually fade a little in the end.   But as other reviews have stated it has a very small fade, finishes very straight.

Holds anhyzers forever, can be thrown straight or on a wide hyzer.  All around user-friendly.

Nice premium plastic throwing putter. Slightly understable.  goes well with an Envy

The Proxy is an excellent approach disc.  It comes in a variety of color combinations;  my two Proxys happen to be monochromatic pink-on-pink and orange-on-orange.  Bright colors, easy to see and find on the course (most very good for my old eyes).

The Proxy is a lot like the Innova Colt.  Shallow rim and dead-nuts straight on approach shots straight at the basket.  It can be put on a slight anny line and it'll hold that line with a gentle landing.  On a hyzer line the Proxy may outshine the Colt, as the Proxy holds its hyzer line to the ground, with a little bit of skip to account for.  Once again, flat and straight will be flat and straight.

If more power is put on the Proxy, it does become a bit understable and can turn over if cranked too hard.  Ditto that if thrown into a strong headwind.

Putting inside the circle is okay.  If you like the Innova Colt or MVP Atom for putting, you'll like the Proxy.  I'd like to see the Proxy in Electron plastic for in-the-circle putting.

If you like the Envy for it's low profile and flat top, you will like the Proxy. The compliment eachother perfectly. For me, I'm using the proxy for the wooded shots or shots that I need to stay right under 300'. It will fly slowly and confidently on any line you put it. Being an Aviar fan, I would compare it to a beat, DX Aviar out of the box. Super straight and almost no fade.

    The Envy's Understable Cousin

Anyone who knows me knows that one of my favorite discs is the Axiom Envy. While the Envy is lightly overstable, the Proxy is lightly understable. They really do make the perfect combo for putts, upshots and drives. A player could easily fill all their putter shots with just these two discs.

The Proxy feels nearly identical to the Envy: small bead, shallow and flat-topped. Of course, the Neutron plastic feels great. Not too slick, not too grippy. The bright, eye-popping colors of Axiom's line-up are also a plus. You won't be losing this disc anytime soon!

If I had to compare a well-known disc to the flight of the Proxy, it would be a fresh Gateway Magic. They have similar glide and a similar flight path, but the Proxy's strength, as is the Envy's, is that it is fast enough to be thrown low to still get appreciable distance. Most putters require height to get good distance, but Axiom's putters can be thrown like mid-ranges.

A great compliment to the Envy. If you like shallow, lightly understable putters, you'll absolutley love this disc.

My main putter is the Proxy. I prefer an understable putter for those 15-20-30ft putts. The Proxy has a similar rim and bead to the Theroy and the Atom. The Proxy is a great putter, and I would recommend anyone interested in putting with an Axiom/MVP try out the Proxy.

I have played over 3 rounds on two different 18 holes courses with the proxy and envy to try and figure out how they compare and what are the advantages/disadvantages of each.

I received the proxy in the Neutron plastic at max weight (174g) the envy is also max weight (174g) but in proton plastic. They really do feel very similar which is great if you are use to the envy. For putting the proxy would hold a straight and for the most part fall down with very little or no fade for the 40' putts, while the envy i would have to use the fade in approach (Lofty push putts). Now when I say fall down it really seemed to fall for me. Not quite as gliddy as the envy, so it took some time to get use to aiming slightly higher than expected for putts. This is the reason for only 4 stars.

Now for what i believe the envy and proxy truly excel at, approach shots. I have long fingers so even when doing drives with these disc I use a fan grip.  When thrown flat at power you will get a nice turn out of the proxy and then it will fly straight from there till hitting the ground, while the envy will hold flat and begin to fade out once It shows down. The proxy is really a point and shoot approach disc.

for drives the proxy bombed and carried a unbelievable straight path When thrown from a slight hyzer. If the box is with in 250 and it's a straight shot this is the disc i use!  It seems to travel a little faster than the envy so it makes better distance than you think it would. the proxy never turned and burned for me even when really trying to rip, and that's why I love axiom/mvp putters, they handle torque well.

As a approach and driving putter this disc is awesome!  But not what I'm going to use as my everyday putter.

The Proxy feels a lot like the Envy, which makes sense, as it has the same core mold. This disc is a little more stable than I expected, and never really turned over when I threw it with some power. From my experience, it's simply a straighter flying Envy.

Personally, I don't love the Envy, and didn't love the Proxy either, but it is a very good putt and approach disc. This is a good driving putter for those straight line shots that you need to go directly towards the basket. Although Axiom says that it has a "low profile" feel, and does compared to most putters, the rim depth is still a little bit taller than I like out of a driving putter.

Where the Proxy really excells is its ability to stay straight on long putts. I made a a good number of 40+ footers with this thing and credit it to the fact that I can aim directly at the basket and it will stay that way rather than fade of substantially to the left at the end of the flight.

If you're one of the many disc golfers that love the Axiom Envy, and are looking for something that will fly a little bit straighter, then you'll love the Proxy.
