TLDR: Great disc for beginners, easy to grip for most players, flips earlier and longer than many similarly rated discs, lacks the glide of most discs that are comparably understable, which I would consider an asset for intermediate to advanced players. I only give 5 stars to flawless discs, and the flaw of this disc is inaccurate flight numbers. Though it could EASILY be a 5 star disc for many players.

Feel: Neutron plastic is my jam. It's fairly low profile, but I don't feel like it's particularly shallow. Flat top for sure. Beadless with a rounded rim with a little lip at the parting line. Super comfortable and always allows a clean release.

Flight: I think many people will really enjoy the flight and find it to be accurate to the numbers. But realistically- the turn is not accurate. I've thrown 3 theorys all in various stages of wear, and I'd call it a -3 for all of them. It's perhaps the 3rd flippiest disc I've ever thrown.

Something unique to consider: They are a true 4 glide rating, which is quite unique for a disc this flippy. I think that alone makes it valuable to certain players. I find this disc to start turning faster than any other comparable disc. If I throw it hyzer, it seems like it ends up flipping to flat within like 50 feet or less. You can get this thing from hyzer to anny in a pretty short distance without it becoming a roller. It also somehow still maintains the 1 fade. I think that for advanced players, this disc will provide massive amounts of lateral movement in a short distance or confined space. Because of the early flip, low glide, and 1 fade, you can potentially shape lines that most other discs can't.

Great US disc true to the flight numbers. Dead straight at low power and easy to anhyzer. I use for touchy shots, or where I want minimal/no fade ~200 ft.

This was just an ok disc for me. The grip and plastic are very good. However the flight was more finicky or touchy for me compared to other understable mids like a max weight Opto Fuse or Tursas. The amount of turn seemed to vary by a larger amount then the other discs. 3 Stars.

this is and awesome under stable mid range disc, and the only one in my bag! if your not a forehand fan, or don't really trust it on tighter technical lines like I don't. then I throw this disc! when thrown with a little anny, it follows that line and barely comes out at the end for a straight finish. when thrown hard and straight, it will drift to the right (RHBH) most of its flight, then finish straight. The only thing I don't love this disc for is those approach shots that are just out of jump putt range.. but if im throwing something between 120-200' that I need some under stability for, this is what I reach for.

The flight numbers are basically right on. I went ahead and just gave it a -2 on the turn. but pretty much nailed the flight numbers other than that.

The Axiom Theory is an amazing understable mid-range disc. It is a very shallow disc, which gives it a unique feel, but not necessarily uncomfortable. Players of all skill levels will be able to enjoy this disc: Newer players will be able to throw the Theory with confidence and experience it's intended flight with ease. For more experienced players, the Theory will be able to be manipulated with power and angles to match the requirements of any shot they may face.

I am LHBH and throw between 400-450ft. The Theory is a perfect hyzer flip disc. Thrown on hyzer with full power the Theory flips up, begins to wander, and finishes straight. The Theory will also hold a hyzer when thrown with enough angle and height, likewise it makes a great disc for anhyzer throws. Typical throws with the Theory, for me, will travel between 315-360ft. It is my go to disc for wooded fairways.

The two characteristics of this disc that stand out are it's glide, and how straight the disc flies. I like to refer to it as a mid range version of the MVP Atom as it can be a very straight flying disc with tons of glide to carry it further.

The Theory is the more understable of the two midrange options from Axiom Discs. In the hand it feels nice, with a lower profile than a lot of other midranges out there. It is also a bit smaller in diameter than some other midranges. The flight reminded me of the flatter, less glidey Comets out there. It is a disc that will hold the line nice, but it doesn't want to be overpowered. If you are looking for that understable midrange, or you are new to the game and want a disc that will fly true, the Theory might be worth a try.

This is my favorite disc in my bag. Easily my choice for a 1-disc round. I'm fairly new to disc golf and throw with enough of a hyzer line that this dics goes perfectly straight for about 250 feet. Great for tunnel shots or slight annys.

This is a beautiful disc for all players.

Beginners looking for a good mid to drive with will have a blast and more experienced players looking for a disc to hold a solid anhyzer or nicely turn over will find success here as well. This is one disc where the MVP overmold technology really shines. Thrown flat at 320' this disc will get a nice turn and fade back very reliably leaving you slightly off the straight line. Highly recommend

This is my favorite anny midrange disc from the mvp/axiom/streamline line up it holds a big sky anhyzers like a dream for me and will ride the line all the way to the ground. thrown flat and hard its kinda useless for me but i can hyzer flip it up and leaks right for the remainder of the flight which is usefull for slight right finishing approach allocations.

If you are looking for the gyro Comet, this is it. The Tangent doesn't have the glide to do Comet things  but the Theory will carve out the same lines. The shallow beadless rim feels great in the hand. I already bag a Fuse, but I always give this to new players and it works great for them, something you can't say about the Comet.

I'm no hot shot disc golfer, I'm alright though. I can't really figure this disc out; seems way more stable than the flight ratings. It's probably the archer rather than the arrow that is struggling-- I just can't seem to get to know the flight pattern of this disc.

My absolutely favorite disc from MVP/Axiom, I currently bag 3 neutron Theorys in different stages of ware as well as a plasma Theory. If you are just starting out and want a disc that allows you to work on your form this is it. My current use for this disc includes turnover shots shorter than 250ft, straight tunnel shots between 150-250ft, spin/push puts 30-100ft, hyzer flips to straight or to slight turn 150-250. The theory has glide for days and its under stability is real. I cannot say enough good things about this disc! I would recommend it to anyone beginner or professional. There is a slot in your bag that is empty if you do not have this disc. Give it a chance and it will reward you by taking shots off of your game where you didn't even know you could.

I love this midrange. This is the perfect compliment for my Buzzz's. The disc is highly understable for a low intermediate player. In tight wood out shots I can often use it for a either a good escape shot if I power down significantly or a great long turn over.

The Theory has quickly become my most dependable RHBH approach disc.  I borrowed one from a friend or two weeks, and I was instantly hooked.  I can count on either dead-straight approach shots OR, with a slight anhyzer release, a slight right turn to the basket.  The neutron plastic feels fantastic in my hand. I have also recently discovered that when it is quite windy, I can use my Theory as a "putter" for putts beyond 30 feet.  The wind does not impact the short shots with the Theory as much as it impacts my putter.  This would be the disc I would miss most from my bag if I were to lose it.

This is one of the only discs that I unabashedly love.  When I was newer to the game, it had a gentle turn that loved to ride that line without coming back.  Now that I have some power behind my throws, it needs a hyzer flip in order to not turn and burn, but now it has the versatility as a great hyzer flip disc for straight shots or turnovers.  Thrown gently on an anhyzer, it will ride the line without crashing as well.  However, I would really only do that within 200ft.  This is a great disc.  If you're looking for an understable midrange, this is it.

The theory was a disc I was once high on, but have since lost confidence in. It used to fly with a nice turn for me, and handle sharp anhyzer lines. I used to throw it knowing what it would do, but now it's just a turn and burn. My game and arm have developed and I haven't been able to dial it back to find the discs sweet spot again. My comet was much easier to tame than my theory. I've never lost confidence in a disc like this. I tried to find a place for my theory, I did. Many field work sessions and it just never recaptured the early magic.

The white/electric blue plastic I have looks super classy, and really pops in the Orange/red/yellow New England woods here in the fall. I have never run in to a situation where I need spend time looking for it. Looks wise it's real pretty, no taking that away.

Gyro discs are nice because they can take a massive beating from blunt impacts. Hit a tree hard and it's fine. Feel wise however is just not for me. I'd rather a consistent feel all around my disc.

Some people swear by mvp and axiom, but I really don't see myself doing much else with their products. Feel is a major part of this game, and it doesn't feel right to me.

My recommendation is go out and get a comet and don't look back.

Absolutely love this disc. Even though I might not pull it out in some rounds, when I need it I know I can count on it. With a nice flat release I know that it will track and glide smoothly to the right (RHBH). It is geat for bending around obstructions and on wooded courses. The Sick Skullboy Stamp makes this disk even better.

This is definitley one of my favorite midrange discs. It flies super straight, and I use it for any tunnel shot not matter the distance. Always flies true and you have to love the awesome colors axiom has!

The Theory is definitely a useful midrange. I would definitely recommend this disc to anyone being introduced to disc golf. I like it personally because I started playing disc golf with an Innova Classic Cobra-the way this disc powers up and down is very much like that. It is also great for ultimate players transitioning into disc golf. For beginners, it will fly the line it is released on so it's very useful for correcting angle of release issues. For the more advanced arms, you will see a nice turn in mid-flight with no burn. Glide's for days! If you hyzer flip this disc, it will not fade one bit. Play a one disc round with this disc and you will definitely see it's versatility!

My name is Stephanie Perkins,  and I'll be reviewing my favorite disc the Neutron Axiom Theory. This understable disc is great for my beginner slower arm. I get a lot of distance compared to any other disc I own. Where this disc shines is in heavily wooded areas and straight shots.  It seems to curl around trees and get right where you need it. It's the only disc I own that actually goes a little right as well. The only issues I've had with the disc is throwing in windy open areas. The disc seems to get whipped up in windy situations and sometimes over shoots the basket or flies dramatically right for me. I've learned to combat this by throwing lower to the ground. The disc loves to glide in the wind so it's an adjustment from other innova discs I've owned, but I love it.

If you love MVP/Axiom and you need a super controllable under stable disc...this is it! I wasn't sure this disc wasn't going to be as under stable as I wanted it to be due to the fact that my MVP Impulse was the OPPOSITE of under stable but it sure did live up to my hopes! I can control this disc on hyzer flips, turnovers that finish straight out to 300-350 or for shots that need to be super under stable to get over and around a tree/obstacle to the right. This is an absolute must have for your GYRO bag!
