Great disc if you need to throw something's going to fade opposite it should. You put this on a little bit of an angle and it will hold it the entire time with a slight fade at the end. The best utility disc I've ever owned. I use this to get out of the deep woods or anytime I'm restricted to a throw that should go left but needs to go right or vice versa. This is my most recommended disc to other players that I own.

Very understable, easy distance for noodle arms.

I love this disc. I can get it to hyzer and anhyzer. Also it's great for that 300 ft line drive. I can't recommend more. Feels like a flatter faster flying leopard 3. While also having an over mold which seems to last longer

This was my go-to driver while I was learning to play. I can reliably hyzer flip it for great distance (350-375) and count on it to have a consistent flight. It feels comfortable in the hand either backhand or forehand.

Now, I use it to reliably get to 330-360 on a nice hyzer flip. I can also throw it flat and count on it to have a nice long turnover without turning into a roller.

I have a max weight, 175g Virus.  I bought this disc to mimick a longer forehand shot, as my forehand game is "still in development", so I bag a few VERY flippy discs at different speeds to imitate those shots (patrol, underworld, orbital, etc.)

I was very surprosed at the lack of turn from this disc.  I don't have the fastest arm, but I can turn over a Sidewinder and valkyrie, so I was hoping this disc would be similar to the Sidewinder, however it flies mostly straight with a slight bit of fade at the end.  Even if I put everything I have into this disc, I get a moderate "S" curve, at best.  I don't know if I got an odd ball or what, but I would consider both the Insanity and the Inertia to be more flippy than this virus, as putting full power into both of those discs will result in a cut roller.  It's not a bad disc, it's just not what I bought it for.

This flippy thing has become one of my favorite "get out of trouble" tools. No room to get a good reach back? Grab this paper plate. My weenie front-hand can flip this disc and even turn it over. Back-hand gets wicked turn. As understable as it is, the Virus is very predictable and consistent once you learn it's ways.

My only gripe is the tree kick that this disc can generate! I know, just don't hit trees. But, man does the Proton plastic with the Neutron rim have some kick distance!

It's in my bag all the time. Love it.

So I want to specifically recommend this disc in proton plastic, reason being it stiffens the disc up greatly compared to neutron.  I use the Virus as a roller primarily and secondly as a turning driver.  I am a sidearm driver, so I tend to favor overstable discs, however, there are times when a anhyzer sidearm throw presents itself ind its a better line than a backhand throw.  That's where the Virus truly shines.  I used to bag a roadrunner for that shot, but I found the virus to be a better roller over dirt and other hard surfaces due to the hard rubber outer rim and the stiff inner core.  There are a lot of understable 9 speeds out their, go find the best one for you.  The Virus is the best one for me.

    1. this disc is crazy understable. I refused to throw it for the longest time but now that I have it figured out, it is my go-to anhyse Disc. It will hold the flight and stable up at the very end.      this thing is crazy understable.

UN-DER-STA-BLE!!! As you can see by the flight numbers, the Axiom Virus is made to be an understable slower speed driver or higher speed fairway driver. Did Axiom hit the mark with the understable design on this one? Absolutely! This is one of the flippiest drivers you can get from the Axiom/MVP/Streamline line-up. At my intermediate level, I can throw this thing at a very low speed and still get it to turn over. Thrown hard, this thing is definitely a roller disc. Even thrown at a moderate speed, you can probably get this thing to turn over enough to hit the ground and do a short cut-roll. If you need a disc that you don't have to force over that you can get nothing but turn out of and also be a useful roller, grab a Virus for sure!

The Virus is an amazing disc. I live and play at high altitude and got a 161g Proton disc for rollers and long anhyzers. It will hold a long anny line all the way to the ground without really fighting out of it, and thrown backhand with a hyzer, it will flip all the way up to flat and glide out with minimal fade, even as a 9 speed, it's one of the longest discs in my bag. Feels similar in the hand to a Vanish, but is much less stable.

Sometimes I get lucky throwing RHFH with this disc but I will argue that the higher the glide rating the more easily that the disc will veer or stray from your line when thrown poorly from a flat or anhyzer line.  Not sure why this disc is speed rated as an 11 at Infintediscs.com, Axiom rates it as a 9 iron and I've had little luck confirming the ease or the speed of this disc.
