The Banzai is said to be the overstable counterpart to the popular Pipeline. (Both disc names are derived from the iconic Hawaiian surf break, the Banzai Pipeline.)

The Banzai is a fairway driver with speed, glide, and the stability you need in a trustworthy disc. This disc has a very straight flight, with a predictable fade at the end. Perfect for backhand or forehand drives, this disc will do it all!

The Banzai is a solid fairway driver, I found it to have surprisingly good glide, much more than the flight numbers suggest.  It feels pretty good in the hand, the rim feels to me a little deeper and wider than a Pipeline.  I tried the Banzai hoping that it would be a good compliment to the DGA Pipeline, but I ended up thinking that it really doesn't seem to fly much differently.  I did not find the Banzai to have the fade of 3 and turn of 0, it flew like a more "neutral" fairway driver rather than something more overstable.  When thrown somewhat hard on a little bit of anhyzer it just held the line and ended up as a turnover shot.  I wanted it to be a more overstable, but instead I just found it to be long and glidey with a little bit of fade.  It's not a bad fairway driver at all, in fact it gets really good distance.  It was just not what I was looking for, wanted something a little more OS and was hoping it would be DGA's version of a PD.

The SP plastic is very firm and stiff with decent grip.  Honestly it's not one of my favorite kinds of plastic, it's a little hard and inflexible for my taste but I imagine it would work out well in hot climates where discs can get a little soft.

Likely one of the best fairway drivers ever made, bar none, yet somehow still one of disc golf's best kept secrets.

I'd say my hands are pretty proportionately average and this beaded baby feels like lock & key for my BH grip. The Banzai also performs surpisingly well for FH and the rim profile complements my two-finger stacked grip well. SP and TS runs seem to be a bit more torque resistant but in general, the Banzai doesn't like to burn over if it can help it.

Like others said, the fade maybe isn't as drastic for skilled players as the numbers indicate - you can put this disc on a sick anny line and watch it deliver one of the prettier, long panning flights in disc golf. It's still a workhorse though that will mostly always finish on a sweet fade after it spends 85-90% of its flight on your intended line. Beginners might find this disc to be pretty stable for them out of the box, but allowing it to season up unlocks the laser power it actually possesses.

The thing is absolute money. Currently my go to driver if I want something with reliable fade, and I'm not going max distance. Feels to me like a Teebird3 that stays flat a bit longer - might be more similar than I think since my TB3 is champ.

Thrown hard or with moderate speed, it stays perfectly flat, only a touch of turn if you really give it the beans. At full rip, it covers 80% of the flight going dead straight then reliably fades out. Notch the power down a bit and you get less straight flight with the same fade.

I never clicked with my Teebird3 but this Banzai flies like all the reviews for the TB3 suggested. Great pickup. Don't let the fade rating of 3 scare you, it's a very solid 8/4/0/2

DGA does it again. I am just constantly impressed by their discs. I really needed something in between my Pipeline and my Raptor. Based on the flight number I was afraid this would be too similar to my Raptor to work for me, but boy was I wrong. It fits just perfectly in between the two! Straight for the first 75% with a nice hard, reliable when finish thrown out to about 300'. This has quickly become one of the most relied on discs in my bag. The Pipeline/Banzai combo might be the best one-two punch in the land of fairways. Go get you some!

I always tended to go more neutral to understable for workhorse drivers. I understood how bigger arms liked a reliable stable flight and finish but I always felt like I gave up way too much distance if I went stable.

Enter the Banzai. Extremely reliable, predictable fade, good wind resistance but still has some glide, is workable with angles, and flies far enough (for me). It will show some turn if you really get over on it or put it into a headwind but it always comes out it for me and gets into that reliable fade.

I know that some people do not care for the bead, but I love beads and think that the Banzai is extremely comfortable in the hand whether I am throwing it backhand or forehand.

My go to is a mid-160s Proline but I also have a max weight Ice that is pretty darn beefy. I think I've found my go to stable driver.

Wasn't what I was expecting. With 8 4 0 3  I was expecting a pretty overstable flight with no turn and ability to throw into the wind without too much turn. In pro line plastic I found it was more like 8 5 -.5 2.  It also has a pretty distinct rim that almost felt like a bead that I found uncomfortable. For reference I was getting 325-340 out of a max effort throw which is about what I normally get out of 7-8 speed straight to stable discs.

This is a phenomenally straight flying fairway driver from DGA. Thrown on a flat release it will punch out very straight before having a reliable fade, though I would give it a fade rating closer to a 2 than a 3. It's not so overstable that you can't get a good flex out of it or get it to hold a anhyzer if you get over on it. I was really surprised at how well this disc handles the torque from a forehand throw, I've found myself throwing this disc for my neutral stability forehand lines and I love it for those shots. Pro-line plastic feels great in the hand and seems to have some good durability.

I have been throwing this disc for about 1 full season. I lost my original Banzai in the woods and had debated on buying a replacement. I am so glad I did; I purchased a replacement and the very first time I went back out and threw this disc, I was so happy to have it back in my bag. I now bag two Pro-Line Banzai's and was considering a third. They cover most of my fairway driver shots. This disc is super reliable, I grip locked it 100 feet in the woods and I found it immediately because It has such a reliable finish. This disc after being beat in for about half a season is pretty straight with a consistent finish. I throw Discraft's Buzzz's as my midrange and this I feel is pretty close just faster and longer when it's beaten in. It becomes quite stable and will hold any angle with a comfortably reliable finish.  I started throwing this disc when I could barely get something to go 300ft and this disc now holds my distance PR at 415'. I love this disc and will continue to love it in the future.

Has someone finally stolen the PD's Crown? The DGA Banzai, mediocre name aside, is a surprising new release. The Banzai has a nice soft dome/flatter top and a comfortable sized rim with a strange lip/bead to it which doesn't feel too noticeable back hand but was quite uncomfortable forehand. My Banzai is in Pro-line plastic which feels nothing like any Discraft plastic I have ever felt but I would liken it most to new Titanium and my disc is 173g scaled.

The Banzai is a Power Driver this disc is just begging you to throw it hard like you would a Firebird but what is incredibly interesting about this disc is the way that fade kicks in. The high speed portion of flight is very similar to that of a Discraft Vulture (Which it appears the top of this disc is from) and the disc goes very straight for a very long time. Where this disc changes is that it has a stronger progressive finish to it than the Vulture does. I was throwing the Vultures (Titanium and ESP Glo) and the Banzai Inch for inch distance wise with the only real difference being how much lateral distance I was covering in the process. This is a disc that is very easy to work the angles with, it has plenty of stability to throw controlled hyzers. The disc has great highspeed stability and flat shots ride a long ways before the fade kicks in. Flex lines with this disc go far the highspeed stability isn't so much  that this disc immediately fights out of it, it really holds the flex line for a bit then hooks back with that reliable fade. The rim shape of this disc is not what I would call conducive to forehand grip or overhand grips so I would probably be more pre-disposed to rely on it for backhands only but all things considered it has the stability to be quite useful assuming the grip works for you.

This disc does wonderfully in a headwind it can get upset if there is a very strong wind but mildly headwinds will just make this disc go further. Tailwinds this disc tends to get knocked down or hyzer out early.

This disc is definitely not going to be useful in the hands of a beginner or those who lack decent power although the overstable nature may be useful for headwinds should a firebird or something similar be a little too much for you.

Overall I really like the Banzai, the plastic feel is outstanding even in the sweaty northeast summers and the overstability of this disc sacrifices virtually no distance. This disc immediately vibed with me and I was throwing it as if it had been in my bag for years.  I really don't want to crowd my bag but I just can't stop throwing this disc.

175 blue/silver proline (the Proline on this reminds of a slightly stiffer G-star)

VERY impressed with this mold, and it's just what DGA needed in their lineup. Out of the box it's pretty beefy but loosens up into a perfect stable workhorse fairway that you can rip flat. Very similar to a GL Spark or beefy Eagle, and forehands as good as those beautiful molds, as well. HIGHLY recommended. Numbers: 7-8, 4, 0, 2.5-3

If you're looking for a disc more overstable than the Pipeline, but that will go further than the Hellfire, the Banzai fits that spot in your bag.

I find the DGA Banzai very consistent for both backhand and forehand throws. It's stable, and will always fade. It's great for spike hyzers, and headwinds. It's just a consistent overstable disc that's available in DGA's quality Proline plastc. It's not "utility only" overstable, but unless you have a cannon for an arm you're not going to get a ton of distance with the Banzai. That's about all I have to say about the Banzai.

The Banzai is a really great disc from DGA. So far, I'm loving it! It has a straight to stable flight path, but it won't turn over on you. You can just rip it down the fairway and it'll hold straight for a while before beginning it's fade. To me, it's like a slightly more overstable Exodus, good for those longer fades, or 300 foot hyzers. If you turn it over on purpose, it'll still come back at the end, making it good for some squiggly shots.

More and more I'm liking discs with speed 7-9 rims, they seem to work well for me and they go just about as far as my distance drivers, but with an easier release and more accuracy. This rim is the perfect size for a clean grip and clean release.

Of course, Pro Line plastic from DGA is a favorite as well, I prefer it over the SP Line because it has the perfect amount of grip. Really loving these new DGA releases, can't wait to see what they bring to the table next.
