The Banzai is said to be the overstable counterpart to the popular Pipeline. (Both disc names are derived from the iconic Hawaiian surf break, the Banzai Pipeline.)

The Banzai is a fairway driver with speed, glide, and the stability you need in a trustworthy disc. This disc has a very straight flight, with a predictable fade at the end. Perfect for backhand or forehand drives, this disc will do it all!

My Flight Ratings: 8/5/-1/2 Not Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: 325 Straight Score: Slightly Overstable

The Banzai is an interesting disc. I've never thrown the Pipeline (yet) but this seems to fit that theme of not flying quite like the numbers would lead you to believe. That's not necessarily a bad thing but taper your expectations. The Banzai feels very similar in the hand (to me anyway) like the Westside Discs Bear. Flight wise, I was getting the same flight paths as a Z Cigarra. A smidge of turn with a consistent fade. Definitely not like a slower Discmania PD. I liked the flight and am keeping the Banzai as a backup in case I lose my Cigarra. I was getting 325-350ft out of the Banzai on most of my throws. It did hold lines pretty well and would give me consistent hyzer placements or nice panning anhyzers on both backhand and forehand. I will say the Spark plastic feels much better now than the old SP line plastic that I felt in the past. The Banzai is not a bad disc by any stretch of the imagination but don't trust the flight numbers. Go throw it and see what it does for you.
