Considered to be the younger sibling of the DD3, the DD1 distance driver by Discmania offers a less overstable flight path than the popular DD3 distance driver. The DD1's smooth glide carries it to the horizon with some turn, before reliably fading back at the end of its flight. This versatile disc is a top choice for both accurate drives in the woods and full-power throws in the open fields. The DD1 distance driver is truly a disc for the masses, designed by Discmania to deliver consistent performance and control for disc golfers of all skill levels.

The equivalent of Innova Star plastic. Discmania describes this plastic blend, "Excellent grip with great durability. This plastic ages well, which means your disc doesn’t have a drastic change in its flight behavior after a couple of collisions with trees."

During my time trying out the DD1, I didn't love it or hate it. It was very reminiscent of a straighter Wraith. The feel was pretty similar and flight was fairly straight with a reliable finish. New S-Line plastic feels fine. Nothing amazing but not bad either. I could throw my stock DD1 out to around 300-315. I'm keeping it as a backup for later down the road when I feel more comfortable with 11 speeds. Overall, a good distance driver for those getting into higher speeds and needing something with a bit of bite.

If I'm comparing it to my beat in Star Wraith, I'd say it has less turn and less fade... just flies a little straighter with less fade.
Overall I'm in love with this disc and it beat out the orbit grand grace. The SLine feels good, the disc flies straighter, the rim is compareable to my Wraith so it's easy to transition to for straighter shot.

Fantastic distance driver from discmania. Nice and comfortable in the hand and can deliver plenty of distance, accuracy, and reliability. Much more forgiving than wider rim drivers like the dd3. It reminds me of the Innova wraith but it seems to fly a bit farther which makes sense considering the dd1 has a slightly wider rim. Definitely a game changer!
