Lower your score with the MD4! This disc is the overstable brother of the MD3. The MD4 has a blunt nose with that standard MD3 micro-bead, giving it a familiar feel in the hand. Not only is the MD4 overstable, but it also has a surprising amount of glide, allowing your shots to fade more while still maintaining predictability. Whether you're facing a stiff wind, looking for a controlled hyzer line, or throwing a nice touch sidearm, the MD4 has you covered. We find this disc to be much more versatile than most other overstable mid-ranges on the market due to the mix of stability and glide. Don't wait, grab yourself an MD4 and lower your score!

I bought this hoping for a very overstable mid to fill a gap in my bag. What I found was something far more neutral than I was expecting. Thrown with power it tends to have a little bit of flex. That being said, it can hold a hyzer very well and Its become a great tool for me in the woods and field when I need something to hold a solid line.

I'm still learning how to control it on flat to flex lines, but it's by far my favorite midrange that I bag. I wouldn't reccoment this disc to someone looking for an extremely overstable disc, but this has a place in my game.

A must have disc for all levels of players.  I just picked this up and wow!  Extremely accurate.  I'm somewhat a beginner, less then a year playing, I throw this laser beam straight for 200-250 feet with a nice predictable fade for a finish and being a midrange it just sticks.  First time out throwing this disc I parked it right under the basket on 2 separate holes.   Everyone's hands and grips are slightly different but I do wish all my discs felt this comfortable to hold.  Buy it and I'm sure you will bag it.

I struggled for a long time to throw midranges, mostly because I couldn't find a mold that felt comfortable in the hand. I tended to stay away from midranges and instead disc up to a driver because I couldn't find a mid that gave me the confidence the drivers did. The MD4 completely altered my game. The beadless, flat-top mold gave me the confidence of throwing a driver, and immediately cleaned up my midrange release. No more flutter! The flight of the MD4 is similar to the Roc3. Stable and trusty. By no means is it a meathook, but it is reliable into a headwind. If you enjoy forehanding midranges, you need to try this disc. The flat profile and shallow mold release just as clean as any midrange on the market. In every plastic, this disc is stellar. I bag anywhere from 3 to 5 MD4s at any given time. They're that good. They will gradually beat in to cover straight and even turnover shots. Try this disc out. You won't regret it!

I've been using the MD4 for years. I am a big fan of Glide 4 discs and this one does not disappoint. It can hold a line and it rarely will turn over, even if you mess up your throw. It feels good in the hand for sidearm shots too and somehow, it almost always finds it's way to the basket.

The slower companion to the roc3. I've come to love this disc for its extreme accuracy and consistent finish on the fairways. It is definitely one of my go-to discs for that 250-300 range.

The MD4 is pretty much what the MD3 used to be before it was retooled slightly and had its flight numbers changed. Stock runs in the C-Line plastic are straight with a little fade at the end and are almost indistinguishable from more stable runs of MD3. However, the Crescent Falcon II's are a different story. That run of MD4 is much more stable than any other run and makes for a very reliable wind fighting midrange. If you like the flight of a Roc3 or and MD3, the MD4 will fit the bill perfectly and the Crescent Falcon II's can give you a more overstable flight path with the same feel in your hand.

This is one of two discs (along with the Buzzz) that got me to trust the Mid-range more than any other type of disc. I can throw it off the tee and trust it to have a fade to the left. On a stand-still upshot, I can trust I will be close to the circle or closer. The more I break-it-in the more I can get a little turn to get around obstacles or little more distance. In fact, I find myself overshooting holes I used to undershoot with fairway drivers. I would highly recommend this disc to anyone looking to improve their upshot game or Tee-shots of less than 300 feet.

I absolutely love this disc. I had been using the drone in this slot for the past 2 years, but I have been slowly transitioning my bag over to discmania/innova. This disc is very similar to my drone, with a slightly shallower rim and a much much smaller bead. This disc is slightly more overstable than the drone, and glides about 30-40 feet farther for me off most shots. I am pleasantly surprised with how far this thing will fly. I nearly got it as far as my thunderbird. Would definately recommend for higher arm speeds.

This is a good midrange. It's stable enough to handle all kinds of power, but not at stable that it falls into a utility category. It feels very similar to the MD3, but with dead straight stability and a more predictable, pronounced fade. The most surprising thing is that the MD4 carries a surprisingly long close, making it an ideal driving midrange. If you're a fan of stable mids, give the md4 a try.

The MD4 is Discmania's more overstable brother of the MD3. It has a similar feel to the MD3 with the addition of a bead to give it more stability. It does have a nice overstable feel when new, but it is not a meathook by any means. This disc reminds me more of a Roc3 in terms of flight. This is a great disc for someone looking for a more overstable compliment to a straighter or flippy midrange.

This disc is a staple in my bag. In starts off very overstable and then beats in quite well. Wouldn't call it justice stability, but you can certainly give it all you got. I love this disc for its reliability. I know where its going to end up. It works great on forceovers to get a flex around some trees. It also has pretty good glide. The dull edge would remind you of a crow or zone, which keeps it froms going way further than you want it to on upshots. Love this disc!

Nice stable to OS midrange with better than average speed. It resists HS turn and has healthy fade at the end. I could FH this midrange with less than full power which resulted in a straight flight with +3 fade at the end. A nice midrange but did not replace my Verdict.

I've had a 173g C-Line MD4 in my overstable midrange slot for about half of the 2018 season.  I previously used Vedicts, which I loved, but they got flippy a little too quickly and I had to cycle them.  Verdict fans should know that it does have a microbead, but I prefer beadless discs and this thing still feels great.  My MD4 has gotten straighter over time, naturally, but I still really have to crank on it to get any turn.  It's my primary forehand mid/approach disc and I also use it off the tee on holes under 270'.  I don't throw it backhand a lot because I get the lines I need out of my C-Line MD3, but I will use the MD4 when scrambling and need to trust it to fade hard.  As I continue to beat this one in, I expect to start using it more and more for backhands.

As many others have said, it has a lot of glide for an overstable mid, so don't expect it to dump out early.  When it does slow down, it fades forward hard and even has some reliable skip that I like to use to my advantage.  I'm psyched they released the Metal Flake version so I can use that as a compliment to my regular C-Line.

    I throw the MD4 in C-line plastic.

Out of the box it felt really overstable, but after throwing it a while it feels way less overstable. I'll factor in the added spin in my new form. The flat top of this disc feels great for both FH and BH shots. It adds consistency to my releases. This disc goes sneaky far as well. When thrown for 90-110m it goes super straight with almost no fade what so ever, but when thrown a little bit slower it lives up to it's flight numbers.

It fights wind pretty well. I do, however, grab the Gator when the wind really picks up.

I use the disc for those 80-100m straigher shots, and for long anhyzer shots. It holds the line for those long anhyzers nicely and tends to land flat.

The C-line MD4 combined with my flippy G-line MD3 cover all the midrange shots I could imagine.

I feel I've used the MD4 enough now to give it an honest review.  I initially was looking for something to fill between the Buzzz and Buzzz OS - Roc3/Wasp are the initial answers but i wanted to try something different.  I picked up a Glow C MD4 at 175g - The Feel is quite nice, actually reminds me of the Buzzz feel but with a bulkier shoulder.  For as Overstable as this disc is it glides quite far and can be stretched out on very straight shots but WILL fade hyzer. I would rate it 5/5/0/2.5 (fair to call it a 3 fade though) - for what I've seen this is very accurate.  It fits the spot perfectly, its OS but not super OS and can be manipulated on every line.  I actually like this best on a slight anhyzer that hold and has the midflight break to flat then a late soft fade to settle it down.  I can see if being similar to a Roc or Roc3 but a little more hookup.  It's a great disc and has actually made me want to check out the MD3 - but for now the buzzes are my bag - along with the Axiom Alias for finesse straight shots and slight turnovers.

Conclusion:  Great go-to Slightly OS mid that can be used for many shots.

I used to throw Roc3's but always struggled to flick them because of the bead and the overall shape in my hand. The MD4's shape and smaller micro-bead has caused me to ditch the Roc3's alltoghether. The MD4 is a touch more stable than a Roc3 but not by a large amount

Wish you could throw your gator or mortar just a tad farther? Is the Zone stable enough but just doesn't quite get the glide you need? The MD4 is an uncanny blend of glide and stability. It can tackle just about any headwind without a problem, and it fades left very hard when thrown RHBH, but it doesn't just drop out of the sky. It glides out of its flight path, giving a very effective combination of reliable stability and distance. I wouldn't recommend this to a beginner still learning the basics, but anyone intermediate or better would find good use in the MD4.

    180 C Line MD4

Um yeah. This disc is the real deal. I have bagged MD3's now for a few years and they have been my favorite midranges ever. The MD4 is the absolute perfect disc to compliment my old MD3's. The flat top is so dang comfortable in the hand and the flight path is beautifully overstable. It's so predictable. If you want a more overstable MD3 or a better RocX3 ;) then look no further than the Discmania MD4. I would absolutely recommend.

This review is for my 180g, blue, C-Line MD4.

The first thing I'd like to talk about is the stability. I know there are a wealth of OS midrange discs out there, and when deciding whether to buy a new one, I like to know how it compares to discs I know. I currently bag a flat top Glow Champion Gator from the Innova Pro Shop (the most OS, least glidey gator I've thrown), and a Signature Glow C-Line MD3. The C-Line MD4 fits perfectly between the two in terms of glide, and its fade is a bit closer to the Gator than the MD3. Honestly, the disc its flight reminds me most of is my '13 USDGC Roc, with a little less glide. When thrown hard and flat, the MD4 will carry straight through the high speed portion of the flight, then show you a healthy fade as it starts to slow down. It's not a dumpy or penetrating  fade, but a glidey lateral fade. It's a bit like a Shark3, but not as much glide. Compared to a Champion Roc3, the MD4 has less glide and more fade. Compared to a Lucid Verdict, less glide, similar fade. Compared to a Z Buzzz OS, maybe a touch less glide, and a little less fade. Compared to an Opto Anchor, maybe a bit more glide and more fade.

The thing that sets the MD4 apart to me from these other discs is the feel. Mine has a flat top, and the rim feel fairly, for lack of a better term, meaty. Much like the MD3, it's hard for me to call this disc beadless, but it has a much smaller bead than the Roc family. To me, this disc hits the perfect balance of comfort for backhand and sidearm throws.

Since I mentioned sidearm, I think the real reason the C-Line MD4 is my mid of choice is because of how well it flicks for me. I have pretty big hands, and I love flicking slower discs. For me, the MD4 is a reliable straight sidearm disc. If your form is clean, you can really power up on this disc as it handles torque very well. It also won't be pushed around in the wind. It's stability is also very easy to get used to, and a very slight anhyzer release will result in skinny flex lines with a net straight flight. It shines in tunnels that finish right.

While I get a lot more use out of my MD3, when the winds are up, I need significant lateral motion, or a straight sidearm mid I can really trust not to flip, I reach for the MD4. I don't think this disc will take over the flooded OS midrange market, but if you're looking for something with a beefier feeling rim than a Verdict or Buzzz OS, but a smaller bead than a Roc or Anchor, give the MD4 a try. It vastly exceeded my expectations.

I think the numbers are pretty spot on. 5, 3.5 (closer to 4), 0, 3.

The Discmania MD4 is a pretty beefy midrange with an almost completely flat top.

I really like the C-Line MD4 for midrange forehand shots. This thing actually goes surprisingly straight for my forehand throws and only has a moderate fade at the end. While it's overstable, it's no Justice and has a fair amount of glide to it. It's stable enough that I don't have a problem turning it over as long as I have a clean release, but if I screw up and accidentally release it on an anhyzer angle it's going to turn off to the left and is not going to recover and finish right. My only complaint with the MD4 is that the bottom rim is pretty sharp and a little deeper than I'd prefer, otherwise I'd probably be bagging this disc after the success I had with it as a forehand mid during my test round.

When I throw the MD4 backhand I can really feel the overstable pull and this disc does not fly straight backhand but gradually fades left the entire flight.

If you like flat top midranges, have good power or like mids for forehand throws, you'll want to try out the Discmania MD4.

I have been looking for an OS midrange for throwing for a while. I had settled on the DD Verdict and the MVP Resistor for these, as well as a Justice for utility.

That being said, the Dynamic Discs Verdict is fabulous but when thrown at full power is too straight for what I was looking for. The MVP Resistor is also fantastic, but is more of a moderately OS fairway driver that I prefer for forehand over backhand due to the smaller rim. Both stay in the bag still, but...

The MD4 is what I and seemingly everyone else wanted out of the MD3. It's definitely OS, but not overwhelming. With tons of torque, it will lightly stand up and have great glide with a predictable finish. It's comfortable for both FH + BH as well, which is something I have been working on with my mids. Overall, I've been waiting for this disc for almost 2 years and it's finally here.

Do yourself a favor, definitely pick this disc up. I have the C-Line, I also own a Lizotte Signature Glow that I will try. But for now- the C-Line is great and just as advertised, if not with a touch more glide than you'd expect

I tested out a max weight Discmania MD4 in C-Line plastic. I can’t say this disc was what I expected, but overall it is a nice disc. Really, I’d say that the main reason the MD4 was not what I expected was that it wasn’t as overstable as I thought it would be. Now, the disc I was throwing had been used by my buddy before me, and it had a decent chunk in the side of it, so I am wondering if that played a role in it not being as overstable. But for me, it really flew a lot like the Roc3, which is one of my personal favorite discs. Really on all the lines I tested, it performed almost how I would have thought the Roc3 would, but maybe with a slightly stronger fade. The disc feels great in the hand. It has a nice little microbead thing, which is great for those who don’t like beaded midranges. I do like the bead, so I will probably stick with my Roc3s, but I think the MD4 is a fantastic disc, and it really filled a hole that was in the Discmania lineup. I can easily recommend this disc to all players looking for a straight flying midrange with a good solid fade at the end of the flight.

    Incredible.

When my glow MD3's started to turn over on me I was pretty upset.  The MD3 was supposed to be DiscMania's stable mid, right? Not anymore.  There is a new MD in town.  The MD4 has arrived and is quickly becoming my favorite midrange of all time.  This disc is stable, but not extremely overstable.  It is perfect for my arm speed.  Throw it hard and it goes straight with some fade at the end. Throw it weaker and it holds a hyzer.  If you want something that is more stable than an MD3 but not quite a RocX3.  Here it is.

Oh and this disc glides.  If you have trouble getting your mids far, try this out.

Finally they came out with a decently overstable mid-range! The MD4 is flies very similar to a Champion Roc3. When i threw it hard and flat, the MD4 had a straight and glidey flight with a hard fading finish. When thrown into a headwind it did not hold up as well as a Champion Roc3 does. It stayed straight with a slight fading finish. I feel that the MD4 has more glide than the Roc3.

Pros: Very comforable in the hand(no bead), very flat, overstable, great glide.

Cons: Wind may effect its flight more than something that is beaded,

The MD4 is a very good addition to the Discmania lineup. It has a micro bead on the rim, which wasn't enough to bother me (I usually prefer no bead on my mids). It was comfortable to throw and released well. When thrown with less power, befitting the lower speed of a  mid-range disc, it was quite overstable and faded reliably. I was able to navigate around objects predictably. Then I decided to throw the MD4 with the power of my drivers, seeing if it would fly with some heat. The MD4 stayed under control when thrown with power, and held a straight line for a couple hundred feet before fading. The disc also handled well when thrown into a moderate headwind.

I can imagine the MD4 becoming a popular mid-range in the bags of experienced players, and probably even some of the Discmania pro's. It is a high-performance disc and can be used in multiple situations. For a beginner, it would not be the best mid-range to start with (though I always recommend mid-range discs to beginners) because under lower speed conditions, they'll wonder why they can't get it fly straight. If you need an overstable mid that isn't quite as dramatic as a Justice, but has the flat top, dependable fade, hyzer potential, and wind resistance, give the MD4 a try.

Very impressed with this disc.  I got a 180 weight in a dark purple C-line plastic.  It is flat on top with a small bead on the bottom edge.  It has a modern bevel to the front edge making it comfortable to grip and throw backhand.  It is a little too deep to be comfortable throwing forehand, but the stability makes it doable.  This is a large diameter disc, which I am not a big fan of, but this disc has already started to win me over.

I play in the high winds of south Texas and have never found a good use for a Roc, Roc3, or MD3, let alone anything much less stable.  My go to mids are a Matrix, Gator, and an A1 depending on the distance and how bad the wind is in my face.  With the wind at my back, I tend to throw putters instead of mids.

The MD4 is not as over stable as the Gator, and straighter into the wind than the Matrix which can turn and fly away.  I found the MD4 to be very dependably straight for 250 feet with a long forward fade at the end instead of the hard fade of the Gator.  It holds a hyzer well.  It can hold an anny if thrown into the wind, and fight back out straight at the end, but only if thrown hard.  The MD4 seems to glide better or at least eat up distance better than any of my other mids, making it useful for a variety of shots and distances.

This may be the first mid with which I have ever been able to comfortably make accurate 300 foot tee shots out here in the wind.  For comparison, I would say I average 375 foot range with a high speed driver on a typical drive with no wind.
