This disc is a good distance driver for someone with decent arm speed, I have a prototype lucid I found in the woods, which is very understable and great for big right fading shots. I also have a fuzion burst which is a bit more overstable but I haven't given it a great beating yet. Certainly good distance disc for slower arm speeds.

I use the captain for a tail wind distance drive or for turn over shots. The disc feels great in the hand. It works well for beginners as the disc beats in.

As an intermediate player, the Captain is a great driver. It's a pretty high speed for someone of my arm speed to be throwing, but with that being said, it is still very controllable. I have thrown the Captain in several different plastics and while there are of course some variances in plastics, they are very mild. After testing a couple different Captains, I decided to add one to my bag this year to get some more work in with it. So far, I am able to get just as much distance (and sometimes more) as I am with the drivers that I am most comfortable and familiar with. My favorite shot with the Captain is to throw it really high with a lot of anny which gets it to turn turn turn turn and then flex with a decent amount of fade. This is a very glidey disc! The flight numbers on this thing are very accurate so if these numbers appeal to you, make sure you pick up a Captain.

The Captain is one of the few discs in DD's lineup where the assigned flight numbers actually seem to be correct. For me its very similar to a Shryke. The Captain has some noticeable high speed turn followed by a strong fade at the end of flight. I found it to be a great driver for hyzerflipping or downwind conditions. The Captain seems very similar to the Sheriff. However, I feel like the Captain doesn't quite glide as well and has somewhat more abrupt late fade than the Sheriff. One almost wonders why DD introduced this disc in the first place, since it almost completely overlaps with the Sheriff in flight characteristics.

That said, I like the Captain and I feel it flies as advertised. It would make a great driver for intermediate players looking to step up to faster drivers. The Captain doesn't take a ton of arm speed to make it fly properly. Take your pick between this in and the Sheriff. You probably won't feel the need to bag both. The Captain is very capable of drives over 400'. It definitely isn't a headwind driver. You'll have to hyzerflip it to see max potential.

The Captain is a good distance driver for intermediate to advanced players. You can get some good distance on it with it's S curve. It glides well and and reminds me of a faster Innova Valkyrie.

With my medium distance arm, this is a great disc for breaking into the distance driver realm of discs. Get a good tailwind and this thing can go for days.

Haven't had enough time with this disc yet, but so far it seems to fall rt between the renegade and trespass stability wise. Have a lucid that has a few more throws on it and is 5-6 grams light but seems to bit a touch less stable, but that could be those differences. Beginner wise I would not have anyone throw this until they are breaking 300 on a regular basis. It will be more stable than shown at that distance, but should be a disc to grow into once you are at that point. looking forward to continuing to learn this, as I am hoping to fill that renegade slot with a tad more distance
