Dynamic Discs' Defender is a super-fast overstable driver with a big rim and big fade. A perfect middle ground between the Trespass and the Enforcer in terms of over-stability, this disc will allow big arms a long, straight flight with a hard fade at the end, perfect for controlled distance shots and headwinds.

The problem with the highest speed discs was that they were historically understable. This is no longer an issue. The Defender is here. Fast. Stable. Neither of these descriptions will be in dispute after you unleash this scorcher. You will no longer have to put away your high speed discs when the wind begins to blow. The Defender will have your back when the course and the elements conspire to take you down.

I love the Defender, it is a staple of my bag. It's a great forehand disc and a good backhand disc if you have the arm for it. Brand new it is a meat hook but when it gets beat in it flies amazingly.

Love this disc for forehands. I can really get behind this disc and put it on a decent amount of anhyzer and know it'll come back for me. This disc is really overstable, and is great for skip shots as well. Has some nice glide and definitely has some speed. Highly recommend this disc, maybe not to beginners though.

I have the defender in blue fusion plastic 175 g. Beats in pretty quickly with this plastic. new this disc flew pretty straight with a somewhat late fade at my full power. beat in now this disc is my #1 driver. thrown at full power flat it will turn slighty and slowly fade. in headwinds i throw with little hyzer and i can trust it not to turn very much. if you have decent arm speed give this disc a try maybe you will love it like me.

I have a Defender in my bag. Yes... I do. Even as an intermediate player. Why you may ask? For windy days of course! It's not down in the main compartment of my bag with all my other main throwers (and it's mainly in there because it has my own custom stamp on it) but when it's a super windy day and I need fade... I know she's in there. I can rely on my Defender during any wind conditions and may even see a little bit of skip out of it. But this is typically the only reason I have this disc in my bag. I just simply don't have the arm to use it in almost any other fashion besides maybe a forehand cut roller. If you have a big arm, I could see this being a great overstable driver in normal conditions. But if you are any lower than advanced level.. only grab one of these if you play in a constantly windy area.

I got this disc to replace my lost Discraft Flick. It was the most overstable disc I have ever thrown. The Defender is not as overstable as the flick, but is very stable. I would recommend this for spike hyzers or far sweeping hyzer shots that need a more glide than something like the Discraft Flick.

The Defender is a long range distance driver from Dynamic Discs. The Defender has a little bit wider rim than the Enforcer, but it is not uncomfortable. The Fuzion plastic is comfortable and durable. The Defender is a supposed to be stable to overstable, but not quite as overstable as the Enforcer. I found it to be as stable as the enforcer though, probably because it is faster and takes more power to get it up to speed. I much prefer the Enforcer to the Defender.

This is one of my most overstable predictable disc for forehand. Handles the torque of forehand and will have plenty of stability to come back and fight hard to skip off the ground. Handles the Oklahoma wind no problem!

The Defender is a reliably overstable, fast distance driver. This disc is best thrown by someone with professional level arm speed, for most others it will be a utility driver for super overstable shots. It is overstable in every plastic, but the BioFuzion will beat in quickly and be more workable for slower arms.

The defender is a great disc for some flip up hyzers or long straight shots that fade at the end.  These are my farthest throwing discs.

No wonder Paige Pierce put her name on this disc. It is fantastic!

I throw 2 different Defenders in the BioFuzion and Lucid plastics. The lucid one is a complete beefcake and is battling a spot with my felon(yes it's that overstable). But my BioFuzion is perfect for me. I don't have the fastest arm speed but when I have a strong headwind or need a long straight to stable finish, I go with this disc. When it beats in, the BioFuzion Defender turns into a great distance driver for what I need it to do. Great for long tunnel hyzers when I need it to fade left at around 275-300'. When I get out into an open field and need to get that reliable finish in the wind, I reach for my Defenders.

I also throw it on forehands and it will handle them very well. I tend to put a lot of torque on my forehands(RHFH) and even when I roll my wrist a little, as long as you give it enough height, they will fight out and finish with a nice skip to the right.

The Defender cuts its slot in a market full of quality Distance Drivers offering stability and glide for days. Like its stable mate the Enforcer the Defender offers virtually no highspeed turn with a pronounced (but not quite as pronounced as the enforcers) fade. At speed 13 the rim on this disc is pretty beefy, maybe not Nuke beefy but its close and may be a little uncomfortable in the hand both forehand and backhand if that is not your preference. You pick this disc up and you realize it means business and you are going to need to throw it hard and smooth to get it to go far.

The Defender is reliable and to an extent can be versatile. Trilogy plastic's differences are not quite as pronounced as other manufacturers to the point where you can almost buy pretty much any plastic in the same mold and expect a pretty similar flight. The Defender flies best when its beat in. Out of the box they are BEEF but still bomb pretty good. Once they beat in they start to ease up a little and are a little more workable but can take awhile to break in to the point where they are flippy. Due to this a lot of players I see bagging them run Biofuzion due to its faster break in times for max distance and Fuzion or Lucid for an overstable flight. Trilogy plastic has famously good glide and this mold is no exception.

The Defender Balks at headwinds, you can throw them pretty hard and so long as the wind isn't ripping it will just continue to fly its intended path. In a tailwind it can be cut short though so additional height may be required in those situations. For those looking for a better wind fighting disc an enforcer will likely be a better candidate.

This disc is awful for beginners... come on its a speed 13 beefcake driver, don't be silly there is no variant of this disc that would work for a beginner.

Overall, the Defender is an excellent mainstay driver and a key mold for the Trilogy lineup. While it can absolutely bomb and has great glide out of the box the Defender isn't quite that versatile, being a little too Overstable to take molds out of your bag until you properly break one or two of them in and that in my eyes brings its rank down to a 4/5 just short of the best of the best drivers. If you are content with bagging a couple more drivers to fill those slots until then it is a must have but for those trying to remove molds it may take a bit to get to that point.

I love my Defender. It fits the bill for an overstable distance driver. The feel of the disc fits my hand, it has a decent dome to it, and the rim isn't overly large for me. I typically use my Defender for forehands exclusively because unless it's really windy, I don't have the arm to make this fly for distance.

It's very torque resistant, which is why I love it for forehands. When I throw it, it usually flies straight for me about 280-300 before fading out and hitting the ground. If I give her all she's got, she will turn ever so slightly and ride a bit before fading back out. For me, it's the perfect forehand disc.

A lot of folks will enter the Destroyer vs Defender debate. Both fill the slot for the overstable distance driver with a good feeling rim that flies great. For my arm, they both flew similar, but that's just me.

I enjoy my Fuzion plastic. A friend of mine has a Lucid that is very overstable for him. Id say the Fuzion is slightly less stable than the Lucid. I also have a BioFuzion that I'm working in, but really hooks for me.

The Defender reminds me a lot of the Destroyer. For some reason when I throw this disc with a forehand, it has a cleaner release than any other disc for that type of shot does for me. I'm not really sure why, but it just flies so well when thrown on a low forehand line, and can be played for a big skip shot if that's what you're looking for. Backhand it flies great too, and the Lucid version fights the wind just a tad better than the fuzion and biofuzion. I have one in all 3 types of plastic, and there's a very slight bit of variation to them, but that's to be expected for different plastic molds. I rely on it in the wind, but if the wind gets too brutal I have to grab something a slight bit more overstable if I reeeeeally need my disc to fade a lot. It has a larger rim like a 13 speed driver normally does, but there's just something about fuzion plastic has that star plastic can't touch in my opinion.
