The D-Blend Cohort offers a smooth, straight flight with excellent glide, making it great for long putts and touchy approach shots. Its shallow, beadless rim and tacky grip provide a clean release and great control. This plastic beats in quickly, adding gentle turn over time.

    D-Blend Details

D-Blend plastic is a basic, inexpensive plastic blend (compare to Innova DX plastic). It has good grip and medium softness. It is more easily beat-in when used than premium plastics, but is preferred by many players for putters and mid-range discs where grip is important.

Reliable, straight flying putt & approach disc. I bag R-, P-, & D-Blend Cohorts. Similar to my old XDs, but with more dome. Very comfortable and not overly deep.

Improved this beginner.  From my standpoint as a beginner with limited throwing speed, the Cohort, in a fairly light weight (157 grams), is improving my game.  I have been putting with light-weight Aviars (An Aviar lighter than 150 grams comes in Innova’s DX beginner’s pack.) The light Aviars work well to increase my putting range as long as there is no wind, but blow away with the slightest breeze, so I wanted a slightly heavier putter with more glide that I could also use for approach shots as well as being able to putt if there is a little wind.  The Cohort in D-Blend plastic, weighing at least 10 grams more than my Aviars, was the answer! D-Blend is so inexpensive that I took a chance and bought 3 so I could evaluate them quickly in practice.  The gamble paid off.   The Cohort is a straight flier with more glide than any other putter I have tried.  In the hand it feels more like my mid-range discs than deeper putters, so it’s easy to use it for both putting and throwing.  (I also carry a 173 gram Warden for very close and downhill putts, but the Cohort covers my other putting needs as well as being a straight approach disc as I try to develop more speed.)

This is by far the furthest and straightest flying putter.  I would recommend this disc to any level of player.  Would be my one disc round disc.  Only request, please make a C-glow version. Currently G-blend is the only premium plastic option.

Originally I bought the Cohort as a cheap putter pack for a 200' right turning water carry at my local course and for field work. It instantly made my bag. I briefly putted with these but switched to wardens soon after

it has a great shallow profile which I enjoy for both backhand and forehand. In firmer plastics the rim is a little uncomfortable in power grip. In fan grip or forehand it feels great.

D Blend - quickly beats in to hyzer flip to straight. I tend to lose these into the water carry (oops)  but I've had a couple get nice and flippy in a really useful and controllable way

P blend - VERY stiff plastic, seems a bit more stable even than fresh D blend

R blend - softer feel. Flight seems similar to D blend

G Blend - flies more stable than the others. I LOVE this for straight forehand approaches and for full power dead  straight backhands. Pairs nicely with my Harp. Hits the ground and sticks.

I will absolutely buy more D blends as I lose mine (there's one darn tree that hangs out over the water that just eats my discs) and I'll pick up an I or S or C blend if they ever make them.

I put these in the bag just before Christmas of 2020. It's a great step in replacing the harder to come by Innova XD. Similar grip in the hand (shallow rim) and similar flight. Set the line and the disc will do the work. If I need it to flip it will with the right amount of encouragement. I highly recommend the Cohort as a disc but I'm not sure I can recommend it in the D blend. I broke the rim (not the flight plate) on one hitting the yellow band from inside of 20 feet. Now I'm a hard spin putter but can honestly say I have never broken a putter on a putt of any kind or plastic. It was a hot summer day so the disc was not stiff by any means.

This is a really fun disc to play with. With minimal effort, Cohort flies dead straight with minimal turn and fade. Holds any line you give it and is great for beginners to learn with. My only complaint is that it is a bit too shallow and is a little uncomfortable for my longish fingers to power grip. But, if you like to fan grip your throwing putters then this is perfect.

This disc is like a cheat code when used for approaches, or off of the tee.  It flies like a glidier Pure, with a more reliable fade at the end.  I really enjoy the D-blend plastic to reduce ground play near the basket.  This disc has saved me multiple strokes with its glidey approaches.  Can't wait to get this in a more premium plastic.

Feel free to watched the linked video, but all I'm going to say is that this disc deserves A LOT more attention. It's sneaky good. sneaky. good. Play a Cohort only round and you will understand.

I would start this by saying that I got the Cohort for a video, thinking that for an all Infinite bag video it would be the perfect approach/putter for my playing style, and in many ways that was correct.
The feel is shallow but not to the point that it was uncomfortable. The flight for my was slightly less overstable than the chart and I would rate it 3.5/3.5/-1/1.5.
though it has a bit of dome I don't think the glide is amazing, but the accuracy is quite impressive. Basically for point and shoot approaches and under 250 off the tee this is a good bet.
One issue I had with it is the rim is just small enough for my hands that the release didn't always go super clean, and might have some wobble even on lower power flights. The line is still perfect, but I feel like it were microscopically deeper that wouldn't be an issue. Since it didn't effect the flight much and could be a huge benefit to players with smaller hand sizes I didn't deduct for that reason at all.

The D blend is pretty slick in run 5 and I would have probably liked a P or X blend better for my preference. As all D blends do it bangs up on impact pretty badly.

This is one disc I would feel no issue handing my 12 year old and saying here kid, throw this and knowing it would do well for them. It's straight enough, even at low power, that as long as you don't sky it, it's going fairly straight.

Wow this disc goes far. I use the Envy off the tee most times and I though those went far, but I was getting an extra 15 feet from the Cohort. I started throwing it on some holes that I normally attack with a mid. This disc made the bag right away and I'll be ordering more.
