The flat top Aviar3 is the perfect compliment to my overstable AvairX3 for approaches. I use it mostly for dead straight and turnover forehand approaches. I generally stick with the P2 for backhands, but once in a while I will throw the Aviar3 backhand. Mine is in the Color Glow Champion plastic. The puddle top runs seem to be a little more stable, so I prefer the flat top since I bag the AviarX3 for overstable duties.

I also have one in DX plastic, but it hasn't gotten much use. It's pretty stable right out of the box, so I may try to beat it into a straight/turnover backhand disc. Finally, I have a puddle topped XT Aviar3 and it behaves just like the color glow plastic likely due to the puddle top. It doesn't want to glide. There are many variations of this disc and I think anyone can find a way to incorporate one into their bag.
