The Katana is an amazing high-speed distance driver with major turn and fade. The Katana will move through the air like no other disc. This speed-13 driver has an incredible degree of high-speed turn (3) followed by major low-speed fade (3). Innova says this disc has “flight characteristics of the Sidewinder on steroids.” The Katana is capable of making huge turnover throws, and sailing for maximum distance.

I used this disc for a little while new from Walmart. At first it was a little too overstable for my liking, but once it beat in it became way more understable. So I started throwing it more on the tee and I was not disappointed. This disc was my go to for any long shot. Im a beginner so throwing 200-250 feels really good, especially when it goes straight with a predictable fade. Highly recommend the dx katana for any intermediate beginner.

This was actually one of the very first discs I bought when I got into disc golf almost a year ago. I had no clue the importance of flight numbers or that I wouldn't be able to throw a 13 speed driver as a beginner. After becoming frustrated by having the disc hook left on me almost immediately (RHBH), I kept it out of my bag for many months until recently. Now that I have somewhat better form and arm speed, this disc is actually super under stable and has to be thrown on a hyzer flip line to fly properly. I absolutely love this thing now (when I throw it correctly) it is probably my max distance disc. Depending on the amount of hyzer I throw it on it will either flip to flat and have a gentle fade or it will flip, turn, then fade. I'm interested in getting another in a more premium plastic, but fear it just won't be the same.

Was looking at expanding my arsenal into some higher speed discs, but my arm doesn't like the heavier, overstable discs so I ordered a light Katana.  First throw sailed for one of the longest drives I've had since I picked the sport back up this year, and I beat that distance a couple times right afterward.  I'm throwing the DX just because I played a lot in the old days when this was a common feel in plastic, but I'll probably pick up one or two others in the Katana mold.  I did push one drive right, but the rest S curved nice and straight.  I can see how this could be touchy, particularly if you throw the common overstable drivers.  My son prefers the overstables and has a strong arm, and this one pushed far right.  The Daedelus flew pretty well for him and I think he'll pick one of those up in a heavier weight for an understable alternative.  If your style leans towards understables and you don't have a real strong arm, this is a potentially great addition for some distance.  I haven't thrown it in wind yet, but I have a feeling I may lean on the Destroyer or Wraith in those conditions...for me, this is one of the most enjoyable discs I own now, but like all discs it isn't for everyone.

Great flight numbers but is a disc I would not recommend for anyone whose form is not on point. If thrown correctly, this disc will really fly though! If I throw it on a slight anhyzer line, it will flip up, flex out, and finish left 400'+ down the fairway. But this disc is not forehand-friendly and can be unforgiving if thrown off axis!

I feel it was a very easy disc to figure out even if you throw it a little slower!
