A Disc For Your Bag superNOVA By Oscar Ball

Have you ever had someone say they found the straightest flying disc? Unless it’s the Nova by Innova Champion Discs, their lying. This 2 speed 3 glide 0 turn 0 fade has the perfect stats, quite frankly the Nova should be renamed Supernova. It has proven its worthiness over and over. David Wiggins once commented “The Nova is quite simply the straightest flying disc I have ever thrown. Out of the box it holds a straight line like nothing else. It glides extremely straight even at lower speeds.” Wiggins is just one of the many pros who used the Nova with success, when Paul McBeth shot 18 down at Toboggan he was using the Nova. On that day he made several 30+ throw ins securing his perfect round. The disc is also Jeremy kolings go to. Referring to Paul’s 18 down round he said “ No offence to Paul Mcbeth, but the more I throw this disc the less I’m impressed with the ridiculous shots he has thrown with the Nova. It is without a doubt THE straightest flying putter I have ever thrown.” I personally have played several tournaments and every one you will see the majority sporting a Nova.

I had a Nova about that I was not a big fan of. It was super straight as advertised, however, it felt too deep in the hand. I power grip all throws and it did not feel right with this disc. I was at my local pro shop and picked up the BW glow nova and was very impressed. It felt much less deep so it was very comfortable to power grip. It flies like the normal Nova and feels awesome in the hand.

Me and my buddy have had novas since we started playing. He uses it for everything. Putting, upshots, throwing, he only throws his nova. I personally don't putt with it, although it is great for putting. The grippy edge gives you a nice clean release and really catches chains. The grippy edge also grabs the ground which is perfect for upshots. When thrown, it flies exactly how you want a disc to fly. It carries the line you give it and will slowly come down and stick
