The TL has to be one of my favorite fairway drivers. I don't know if it was the star plastic or just my throwing method, but if I put a slight hyzer on it, this disc would flip up and fly straight for most if not all of its flight. It's rim made for an easy grip, and it really was a reliable disc, not overly affected by wind or anything along those lines. It is a really good mold, that I recommend to anyone who wants to increase their distance and control!

Just finished my first year of disc golf (around 40 rounds), so keep in mind that this review is from a beginner’s perspective. Picked up a F2 Champion before I really knew what it was. I ended up using it for nearly every approach shot since I could place this disc much better than anything else in my bag. Even though it was not designed for many of the shots I used it for, it still did a good job.

Now that I actually understand the disc, it is still my most used. I just trust it and the fade early on was consistent. When placement is the most important factor, this is the disc I choose. I have been bashing it on trees in the highly wooded New England area all Summer and it still flies well. It has not been the longest disc for me, but I have been more interested in accuracy. Overall, this disc saved many strokes as I was learning to throw. I highly recommend it to beginners who need to build confidence and consistency and I'm sure I will find more uses in the future as I continue to improve. Even though my FH is not good, I have been the most consistent with this disc as well. Now that it has beaten in some, it is just a straight disc.

I have 2 Star TLs. The max weight version was a bit more stable than I expected but this also means it can handle all my power and still finish straight/left (RHBH). I also really enjoyed releasing it on a small amount of anhyzer at lower speeds and just letting it glide out for a dead straight shot. The lower weight one (170g) will drift right in the middle of its flight and then fade back. It is perfect for a mini hyzer flip shot for tight wooded lines that require more distance than a midrange. Overall, I think the TL is a perfect mix of control and distance and can be thrown on a variety of shots/lines. I would highly recommend this disc to players with some experience trying to be more consistent in their form and shot results.

My champion TL has been in my bag for around 6 years and it still flies exactly like it did when I first got it. This thing is straight and glidey. You can put this thing on some massive baby hyzers or turnovers and it will fly for days. Easier to control than the Teebird, and I would also say that it flies further as well. A TL would be a great upgrade from a Leopard if you have surpassed what a starter pack Leopard can handle.

The TL is a solid disc that will fly true to its numbers and provide value for beginners and experienced players alike. I loved throwing this disc backhand in champion 167g plastic, but recently traded some discs with a friend who now uses it as his go-to for forehands and woods. If you're a beginner or player still working on form to throw over 300' then TL will give you your max distance as you continue to improve.
